Not started a new Fred before but hope it is successful for us as we are going to get our BFPs, either by traditional rat smacking activities or using the power of medical science.

Ladies I do declare WE WILL GET THERE - FACT !!!

They've called, Aparently the eggs fertilised in an abnormal way so not suitable for transfer, basically I have bad eggs.

geek I didnt get to EC last time, I think you're thinking of sweetie x

keep she was at great pains to tell me the ICSI went well, it was how they fertilsed that's the issue.

Basically when an egg is fertilised they should see 2 rings around the outside, 1 did nothing at all, 1 had 1 ring & 1 had 4 rings, so they are classed as abnormal, seemingly my eggs can't fertilise normally.

Have just had a call and we have an appt tomorrow with the nice consultant so should know more then but am pretty certain she is going to say my eggs are fucked an only option is donor which for me is just not an option [no offence sweetie its just not something I can deal with]

So I think it's game over for me xx

Scarlett worst case scenario and your eggs are bad, you don't need to make any decisions yet. You never know if you may feel differently in a while. I hope the consultation is helpful. Take and ask loads of questions, and have one of you write things down.

Oh god Scarlett I'm so so sorry. Life is so bloody unfair. I hope there is something else they can try. I understand what your saying about using a donor, everyone has limits on what they can handle with assisted conception.

Cartoon I have been thinking about you all day. I hope it's all gone as well as it can under the circumstances.

I do hope the appointment goes well today scarlett Is it worth asking her about any supplements you could take to improve your eggs, that is if you think you could cope with the stress of another round of IVF. I hope you can come away with some answers at least ((hugs))

I'm still being a wimp about phoning the clinic to chase up our appointment, will be brave soon. But I did get my smear done yesterday, and was left confused by the small pot of liquid that appeared to have come out of me as the sample. But after a little Google I found out that its another way of doing the test and the liquid didn't come from inside me. It was about 30ml of slightly blood stained liquid, I couldn't understand where the hell it had come from, and I didn't have the language skills to ask :oslightly

Hi all, I have one blastocyst on board! Grin And most likely three to freeze. Another two have until tomorrow too prove themselves, they're a little behind. My one is a grade 2, so not top quality, but good.

wow keep that's fab news, I shall start the stick embryo stick dance :o and a few for freezing is great. Though when if you get pregnant now, would you have to go back Thailand in the future to use them or could they transport them somehow. Just wondering.

They said they can transport to a uk clinic, but we could always come back for a holiday - might cost the same! :)

Oh keep that is fantastic news! Great that they discussed grades with you, too. I'd feel much more comfortable knowing the grade rather than just being told 'this is the best one, these are ok, these are ok-ish' but not all clinics like to talk grades to their clients. I'm loving the idea of you taking a holiday back to Thailand as and when you wanted to use your frosties - I can just imagine the conversations afterwards - "Thailand must really agree with you - every time you go there you come back pregnant" Grin

scarlett I really hope you get some answers today, and that there is still a way forward for you.

Fertility Friend and I are having an argument at the moment. I think I am 2DPO, it thinks I am 3. TBH I'd prefer to be 3 because then I would have 3.5 SWIs rather than 2.5. For those of you who remember my last 0.5, yes, it did happen again Blush

Also, am proud of my blast. This morning it was an early blast, but kept growing and by lunchtime transfer was a blast, which is 75-150 cells, I think. Stick, stick, stick!!
