Brooking NO ARGUMENT that those BFPs are on the way

SweetieTime · 27/01/2013 09:23

Not started a new Fred before but hope it is successful for us as we are going to get our BFPs, either by traditional rat smacking activities or using the power of medical science.

Ladies I do declare WE WILL GET THERE - FACT !!!

Beautiful thread Sweetie loving what you've done with the place.

Keep I hope you feel better very soon, it sounds v nasty. Is it possible nt to respond to the trigger shot? I'm keeping everything crossed for you.

MotherOfCleo · 27/01/2013 09:38

Did someone menion muffins...... Grin

Nicw work girls, the place is looking rather lovely. Think I'll have this red fluffy scatter cushion and throw, right I'm comfy but god I hope we are all ready to graduate soon!!!

PearlyWhites · 27/01/2013 09:39

What does "brooking" mean.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 27/01/2013 09:41

Mmm chocolate muffins sweetie Lovely new thread :o

keep hope you feel better soon. Though if there's no sign of AF, I'd be very tempted to test again ( what am i saying, I'd have been testing every time I had a wee! ) How long is your usual LP?

Rather lazy weekend here, I really should get out of bed soon :o

keepitgoing · 27/01/2013 09:43

Thanks sweetie!
I have no idea about the trigger shot, it only came to me as yet another-- potential problem today... They didn't mention it... I just thought, you can have an lh surge but not ov, so could this be the same?

Muffins,

Soph80 · 27/01/2013 09:54

I'm just here for the muffins Wink

keepitgoing · 27/01/2013 10:05

My period usually comes 16 days after lh surge, with spotting a few days before. I am 17 days past hcg trigger.
Am sure it's just another f*ed up cycle. Hopes are not up.

Welcome soph and pearly. Brooking is the power of positive thinking. This post is not ideal, but the others brook for you when we can't. Tell us your ttc stories. At the moment many of us are starting assisted conception. I had iui this month, TTC 19 months, never a single bfp.

RubberBullets · 27/01/2013 10:06

Brooking no argument for BFPs means that we have decided that BFPs are coming and that is that. Fancy explanation

SweetieTime · 27/01/2013 10:09

keep did you just on my muffins? How rude!!!

Pearly we use the old fashioned term "we brook no argument" on this thread as in we will not take no for an answer when it comes to getting our BFPs or bad advice from twunty Drs etc There are other bizarre terminology used such as rat smacking - meaning getting preggers is similar to the fairground game of chance to smack the rat.

Keep have you POAS again?

OP posts:
keepitgoing · 27/01/2013 10:20

Not tested since Friday, no. I can't take bfns, rather wait it out.

I always seem to buy faulty pee stocks!

keepitgoing · 27/01/2013 10:21

I am drinking oral rehydration salts, which are horrendous.

Wanna share? Wink

cartoontrickster · 27/01/2013 10:29

Not much to report from me but I've had a really awful sinusy headachy pain for the past 2 weeks which I can't seem to shift, feeling particularly achy today too :( I am however very excited about a new jacket I bought yesterday which was only £16!!! yes really £16!

Withalittlesparkle · 27/01/2013 13:33

I'm sorry some of you are feeling so rubbish!!!

keep if your LP is normally 16 days (and your 16 days today) and you tested Friday you totally tested tooooo early!!! I had a 13 day LP and only got the faintest faint line 14DPO!!! Just saying!!! Directing all brooking in your direction!!!

face it may be time to accept you're actually as diffed as a diffed person can get, Wednesday is the big day right?

cartoontrickster · 27/01/2013 13:39

I know sparks im starting to believe it too. yep its Wed. really hope we're not wrong!
yay for keeps obvious testing too early.
ummm I really can't remember what's going on with everyone.

keepitgoing · 27/01/2013 13:45

Thanks for the brooking. You never know...

Good luck face!! You've passed your scary milestones, I think. Enjoy the scan, and the sickness!

Soph80 · 27/01/2013 13:45

I could do with some brooking! AF came today after 1st round of clomid. Aged 33, ttc 19 months, HSG 2 cycles ago, DH 3% sperm morphology

Keepingitgoing - did you get your IUI on the NHS or have to pay privately? Seems to depend of where you live from what I can see.

keepitgoing · 27/01/2013 14:30

Hi soph, I think we spoke on another thread re clomid. I took it for a month, but the iui was cancelled due to it giving me a thin lining. Do you already ovulate? It sounds like we are in a similar position. Dh had 3-4% morphology over three samples April to July last year. Having taken a massive cocktail of supplements the last four months, it was just repeated and is now 10! I'll find out what they are.

We are abroad until August, so have insurance. At home they wouldn't pay for iui, only ivf after three years, and they counted 3% morph as 'unexplained'. We are just giving iui one more chance, then to ivf, as iui success rates are so low.

Sorry to hear about af. But welcome, as we say here, to day one of your pregnancy. This ttc lark is tough, but these ladies are lovely.

keepitgoing · 27/01/2013 14:36

Ok, these are the ones I can remember
Multivit, general
Zinc
Vit c
Macca
El arginine
Coenzyme q 10
Celery extract
Horny goat weed
Goji berries
El cartinine

These are a mixture of antioxidants, and things to increase blood flow to the area (other side effects too!! Iyswim). We don't know which of these had the impact though, so he's stuck on the lot! He used what ltd scientific evidence there is.

There's something else too, but I can't remember what. Will look when I'm home on Wed.

Oh, and so we are going all find blazing till July, as much of the cost is covered by insurance, and so once we move home it'd either be expensive or we would need to wait.
