SweetieTime · 27/01/2013 09:23

Not started a new Fred before but hope it is successful for us as we are going to get our BFPs, either by traditional rat smacking activities or using the power of medical science.

Ladies I do declare WE WILL GET THERE - FACT !!!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 30/01/2013 22:47

That's really interesting Cru it's amazing how much you lead throughout this whole process. Brooking for a BFP for you in a few days time!

Hope you're still grinning from ear to ear Face Smile

keepitgoing · 31/01/2013 05:23

Oh face I am so happy for you!!!!

cru good to see you, and good luck for next week.

scar love that we'll be cycle and bfp buddies! Then sweeties bfp just after, and then maybe and solars!

Am waiting call from clinic re scan and blood tests tomorrow. Have to change drs as my one is away at the critical time next month selfish man dh is away so I'll have to go alone tomorrow. Eek.

So that'll be three dildo cams in the next week! Ivf ovarian reserve check, iui follie check, and iui itself. Sigh, it's like the m25!! :)

BeedlesPineNeedles · 31/01/2013 05:32

Don't worry keep you can leave your dignity in the corner with Boo's

cru good luck, I hope its a sticky one

I PIAR this morning but it was a BFN, though my boobies are still sore so its not game over yet (not to be confused with Boo's booby, I hope he/she isn't sore )

keepitgoing · 31/01/2013 06:14

Sorry beedle! You amaze me testing each month, I'm a wimp.

Yep, no dignity here!

keepitgoing · 31/01/2013 06:42

BTW where's your darned letter, and when are you chasing it?

Withalittlesparkle · 31/01/2013 07:20

I think we should probably have a separate cloakroom for our dignities, like in a club, so you don't need to be burdened by them!!

SweetieTime · 31/01/2013 07:58

keep i remember the good olde day when I was terrified of having a smear done. After the amount of probing and proding the fanjo has gone through now there is nothing to be worried about

Beedle sorry it was a disagreeable peestick - only takes the one or ten good one Wink

Cru i would be interested to hear what they have said about the baby aspirin, how long do they advise you take it for? I am willing to give anything a go and have heard a lot of clinic recommend it but mine hasn't mentioned it, I must try to remember to ask next time I speak to them

face officially a preggers - - awwww , how does it feel?

OP posts:
cartoontrickster · 31/01/2013 08:26

nice to see you cru that's excellent news I await ur soon to be announced bfp.
sweetie I think the asprin is a pretty standard thing that they recommend for any recurrent Mc'ers. if you google youll find loads of articals on why they think it helps. it was in one of the papers but I'm not sure how long ago.
I've actually been told to come off my asprin for a bit (the midwife said its not crucial I have it) although yesterday all looked good I have to get through the next 2wks before they consider you out of the woods.
I have a small area of bleeding above the sac, that's what my spotting is but they couldn't say why. its not really bad but not ideal. if it gets worse it will collapse the pregnancy. so I'm back to bed rest for a bit. hopefully no asprin thinning my blood will help the spotting stop.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 31/01/2013 08:55

cartoon I hope you're in bed with a good book/dvd and a big grin on your face :o

keep strangely I find it easier to test. Not that I ever expect to see 2 lines, i tend to POAS and then go and have my breakfast - I don't usually check teh stick until about 30 mins later, so there's no nervous waiting for a line to appear. and of course when there is no second lne I just decide I was too early :o

BeedlesPineNeedles · 31/01/2013 08:56

Sorry cartoon that sounded a bit wrong, I meant you should have the big grin because your bean has a heartbeat and you should try not to worry about anything else

cartoontrickster · 31/01/2013 09:28

thanks beedle Grin. we're trying to focus on the fact that seeing a hb now makes our odds loads better and it proves that this treatment definitely helps even if this one still goes wrong.

keepitgoing · 31/01/2013 09:34

Well, beedle the line may have been there then faded by the end of brekkie then. As you're doing a smegs!

face it Will Not Go Wrong. This is your perfect wedding Christmas bean. Two weeks is easy after your last three.

Enjoy bed rest!

Smear test, sweetie? I laugh in the face of smear tests.

Appointment set for tomorrow afternoon.

keepitgoing · 31/01/2013 09:36

And beedle avoided the question of her missing letter and appointment, anyone else notice that?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 31/01/2013 09:52

Sorry keep
We only got the letter saying we were being transferred to teh IVF dept a couple of weeks ago, and it said we would here from them (the IVF dept) soon. I'm quite happy to wait another couple of weeks before I chase them just to give MrB a bit more time to get used to the idea (is nearly 2 years not enough? Hmm ) I suppose I'm still living in hope denial that we'll get a natural BFP

keepitgoing · 31/01/2013 10:06

Just teasing. Is mrB not feeling ready just yet? I may well have a melt down yet, but feeling mostly excited so far.

Scarlett how are you feeling, we start soon!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 31/01/2013 10:32

Oh I'm quite excited by the idea of finally getting there but MrB is still a bit stressed at it being his fault. Also I think he thinks that his JIAJ days are now over, I don't think he quite realises that he will have to JIAJ again when if we get as far as egg collection. he finds it quite hard to perform in that way on demand, there would be no way he could just pop into a room at teh hospital and produce a sample 5 mins later.

MotherOfCleo · 31/01/2013 10:36

AF got me Sad bit gutted tbh. I've had a serious wtf cycle and thought that was a good sign....alas just kidding myself again. Sad

BeedlesPineNeedles · 31/01/2013 11:57

sorry to hear that cleo. Was AF very late or did you have lots of preggo symptoms?

MotherOfCleo · 31/01/2013 12:11

It was just an odd cycle, metallic taste and salivating at 9&10dpo, cramps all month, spots, odd spotting and just felt different. But alas no BFP. Sad

ControlGeek · 31/01/2013 13:29

So sorry AF got you soph and cleo. But welcome to day 1 (or is it 3 in soph's case?) of your pregnancy. Brooking no argument that BFPs will soon be yours.

Cartoon your scan sounds fab, and it's great that they were able to identify the cause of your spotting too. If they know what it is, they can usually deal with it. 7.5 months down the line, you will be having your very own newborn snuggles. Fact.

beedle hope your IVF comes through soon for you. I too test pretty much from 1DPO as it takes away the desperate itch that creeps up, usually about half way through the day. I now refuse to use anything other than ICs until AF is overdue though.

scarlett great to see you are still around, I was a bit worried that we had managed to kill off the pot plant with all the gin and vodka we watered it with over christmas!

cru very best of brooking luck for the remainder of your 2ww, I hope that your frostie is a sticker.

keep how are you feeling now? Hope you are starting to get over your D&V. It must be very draining, especially with AF arriving at the same time Bought some horny goat weed with maca for MrG today - so Shock at the price though! £24 for two weeks' worth, on top of £43 for his Vit E, £8 for my Vit D3, plus various other vits rocking in at a grand total of about £100/month. I am in shock and wish I hadn't just worked that out Sad

Sorry for lack of posts recently. There's still no news on my appointment for my op, and I am feeling very disheartened and definitely not at my brooking best.

It was almost four weeks ago that my cons first said he was looking at dates and I would hear from the clinic shortly. Almost two weeks ago he gave me the two possible dates of 18th and 20th Feb. It's now looking highly unlikely that either of those will happen. I will contact him again on Monday (the only day he works at that particular clinic) and try and find out what is going on. I can't believe it is almost a year since I first saw my GP. I was referred to the NHS gynae with a recommendation for IVF last May. At this rate, I won't even be able to start IVF until May/June depending on my op recovery time.

We've decided to go ahead and keep trying this cycle, since we have no idea when the op will be and the chances of it being before AF are very slim indeed. MrG's still not completely over his D&V though, so we may still miss the boat (am on day 2 of CBFM highs today, not yet DTD this cycle, I'm expecting my peak hopefully in the next 3 days or so).

keepitgoing · 31/01/2013 15:01

geek try buying on line, way cheaper. I'm so sorry this is all taking so long for you, it must be so frustrating. Hopefully their communication is just crappy but you're already booked in for Feb.

Withalittlesparkle · 31/01/2013 20:42

Argh I hate to hear AF has arrived!!!

Solars · 31/01/2013 21:07

Cru so good to hear from you and I am brooking for you next Wednesday! So exciting!

Geek I really feel for you, it's so rubbish that you still haven't heard from your consultant and a fixed date. I really hope you can speak to him on Monday and get a definite answer.

Sorry about AF Mother be good to yourself.

Beedle how are you doing with stuffing MrB with all his nutrients right under his nose?

Sweetie was that Baby Makers programme just a one off? I got the impression it was part of a series but haven't see any others advertised, or have I missed them all?

Keep have you started the drugs for the next iui now?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 01/02/2013 05:41

geek how rubbish that you're still waiting, I hope they get their arses in gear soon.

solars I'm slowly working on Mrb's diet, trying to introduce new stuff and get away from processed meat. I used to eat much more healthy food when I lived in England, and he would live on hot digs and burgers if given the choice Hmm Though he does eat a lot of fruit so he's not all bad.

Well AF has turned up here, exactly on schedule Hmm but at least I'll have no problem remembering what cycle day I'm on this month

keepitgoing · 01/02/2013 05:41

Oh yes, I only saw that one episode of baby makers, are there more?

No drugs other than the ovulation trigger this month, solars. Reason a) ivf consultant doesn't want ovarian stimulation the month before iui. Reason b) it only made me make one egg last month, and I can do that on my own. Reason c) I didn't like getting itchy heat rash for two weeks. So an easy decision!

Nervous about this afternoon's appointment. Esp as dh won't be there.

My sister left today. I can bore you with all my feelings at some other time.
