So I did both an OPK and a HCG this morn as I am so confused about my cycle. The OPK has a v faint (but not a squinter) line as per yesterday's. I put it next to the HCG to take a pic (for th record as you do) and hey ho notice there's a shadow on the HCG. Its squinty in my imagination so probably an evap. But I did another (same urine) and got the same...

My AF meltdown was once again a one well in this case 2 wipe wonder, all spotting has stopped again.....seriously WTF is going on this month?!? I'm 13DPO, AF due Friday so wtf is with suspicious disappearing spotting....

mother that's great news... keeping fingers crossed and not mentioning baby dust at all

honestly it's just me trying to find explanation for what the hell is going on... I know it's not a line really... just so confused and a late O and very long lasting implantation bleeding would make more sense right now than the actual facts (been spotting for 7 days continuously after v v light 5 day AF)

I see what you mean 2cats tricky, I 'think' I see a line, but I don't know if it's my eyes playing tricks because I can see the bottom one...

I am going to ring the doc and lt her figure out my stupid cycle rather than squint at any more sticks!

2cats Firstly - ignore what I'm about to say. I'm terrible for getting people's hopes up (ask mother). However, when I got my BFP it was that pale to begin with - you could hardly see it. Took a good couple of weeks (I got through a LOAD of tests) to really darken up to anywhere near the same colour as the test line....

just in case that gets through....

Right, I've tried to make my profile public and added a photo of that first test. Hope that's not getting your hope up 2cats - just wanted to show that really the line CAN BE (but I'm sure isn't always) very pale from the start.

Basically, listen to thunder and do another test!!

Wow that IS as faint as mine! To keep you all happy I will do another test later this afternoon and keep you posted. However I think it would be a miracle if I was pregnant. Even if AF was not AF (and I have just simply been spotting since 7DPO) and if I O'd late due to wedding stress I would still be 18DPO now and therefore would expect a nice strong line, even with 2nd morn urine.

I think I have to accept that AF was AF and i'm on CD 12 and have something else going on causing the spotting for the last 7 -9 days. Am waiting for call back from Dr in the hope I can get to the bottom of this as the stupid spotting is potentially going to screw up this cycle and could be something more concerning

While on the subject can I check i'm right in using 2nd morn urine for OPK? I realised last night that the instructions included in the box of OPK's are different to the instructions on each individual OPK packet so slightly confused...

Ps Viv i know that staring at blank POAS is as bad as symptom spotting at 4DPO. Please forgive me and I will make you a sausage on a stick hedgehog to make up for it

It may well be the case 2cats but you never, never know. FWIW my line was really pale until about 10 days after I was due on. Really hoping you're wrong.

viv - please don't wang any sausages at me. I've only popped back briefly again and will bugger off again now.

2cats - don't you just love it when docs are so helpful?! Have you tested again yet? re opks - I usually test around 5pm - seems to work best for me...

Thunder I know the chocolate button hedgehog cakes. All my favourite cook books are from the 80s. Hang on a bit and I'll post a picture of one.
