Can't believe they killed it with baby dust - boo

So sorry mother dear

MotherOfCleo · 29/01/2013 09:27

Cheers ladies, yep bloody early thunder although I usually spot for a couple of days prior to full ERTD.....my OH was pissed off....doh.

MotherOfCleo · 29/01/2013 09:29

Agree re baby dust too, sounds like they think they are Tinkerbell or something equally dumb. I don't want baby dust I want a super strong fighter sperm to meet and woo my hardy little egg. Romantic huh Wink

viviennewestwould · 29/01/2013 09:51

Mother, I'm sorry about your AF, love.

Who threw Wine at me, a recovering alcoholic? [shocked]

What the FUCK has the world come to when you cannot start a light-hearted thread that pokes fun at 4DPO symptom-spotters?? We've all done it..we've all imagined ludicrous symptoms - why the frig would mumsnet remove a thread just because there are women struggling to get pregnant who retain no sense of humour whatsoever? I'M one of those women struggling to get pregnant but I can see the funny side of imagining you're pregnant at 3DPO because you need a shit. AAaaaaaaaaargh!!!! [gathers up babydust with the aid of a greasy sausage, picks off mulch, moulds into a ball and hurls at mumsnet staff] Angry

AIBU TO WANT TO WANG HUMOURLESS, PREACHY MUMSNETTERS TO DEATH WITH A WRECKING-BALL MADE OF SAUSAGE MEAT?

[scuttles away before tempted to actually post in AIBU]

I am ringing my Awkward Alarm here too - I'm also on the BESH fred, which is where Viv's nemesiseseses are and I like everyone on both freds very much and am herewith heretoforth hence becoming the fred equivalent of Switzerland and remaining more neutral than a very neutral thing. Like a bland tinned frankfurter without onions or mustard. So there.

I didn't realise wanging could go as far as death. Imagine the headlines 30-something unpregnant woman wanged to death by unidentified meat

It's alright viv, it is best to have a sense of humour about it because, quite frankly, we're all pretty ridiculous whilst playing this ttc game. But it seems that many women are too consumed by it to be able to laugh at all. Wish I could've read that thread though damnit.

viviennewestwould · 29/01/2013 10:04

Captain, how could you possibly wallow in such a pit of sewage? Climb out [swings rigging out to Captain] and save yourself!!

What is BESH?

captainmoll · 29/01/2013 10:22

Barren evil selfish hags. It's another over-30's ttc thread.

Thundercatsarego · 29/01/2013 10:25

Wow what a name. And ouch! Are you evil?

2cats222 · 29/01/2013 10:30

did read the thread last night but was too Shock at the attitude and responses from some people i couldn't even begin to post knew it would have got me kicked off anyway a good demonstration of the scary world of AIBU!

Thundercatsarego · 29/01/2013 10:34

What was their beef? Defending the 4dpo symptom?

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 29/01/2013 10:40

Hello.

Barren Evil Selfish Hags is an ironic name. It's in response to the likes of Liz Jones who castigate all women over 30 TTC as, well, barren evil and selfish career women who put money before procreating. A point she has proven this week in fact.

We had no beef. Only a couple of the people on Viv's thread were from the the BESH thread. The others were other long term TTCers who I don't know.

Good luck to you all. Hope you get your BFPs.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 29/01/2013 10:42

Sorry meant to add that there was no beef with the actual original post. We generally find the four day symptom spotters amusing and exasperating as in "Bless, they'll soon grow out of it" sort of way.

Hope that sorts that out.

ScarlettInSpace · 29/01/2013 10:45

Hi,
Just an observation in case you hadn't realised - this is an open thread on an open forum so all those HUMOURLESS, PREACHY MUMSNETTERS, I'd imagine including myself, who weren't party to your in-jokes and didn't take particularly kindly to some of the things you said to other people are no doubt reading your lovely comments on here as you so kindly linked to this thread. Seriously though - you posted on AIBU, got flamed, and the thread was deleted, surely that's job done, why not let it lie???
Just sayin...

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 29/01/2013 10:46

Um, I think we should leave this now

ScarlettInSpace · 29/01/2013 10:48

exits stage left

Thundercatsarego · 29/01/2013 11:02

Sorry, I meant what was the beef on the aibu thread- my BESH question was totally separate, mostly cos I am befuddled by all the acronyms and a bit stoopid I didn't really think you were evil but thanks for the explanation of the thread name- that's funny.

viv, you are stirring it up!

2cats222 · 29/01/2013 12:12

Right... I'm changing the topic! Having had the weirdest cycle from hell so far I think I have a shadow on a test this morn (HCG not OPK)... anyone want to laugh at me getting confused/excited over nothing??

janey1234 · 29/01/2013 12:14

Oh look what happens when I stop stalking you all!

What's going on?!

SidneyBristow · 29/01/2013 12:17

Anyone up for a little conception talk?

CBFM showed Low fertility Friday; DH and I DTD anyway just 'cause we like to (actually did it most days last week bc we knew this week would be DTD for a purpose, which can be a drag). Sat CBFM malfunctioned & I missed testing. Didn't DTD as was at SIL's house and no time/interest during the 20 minutes we were alone before passing out asleep. Sun CBFM showed High (previously thought was "medium" since it was 2 bars on the indicator; re-read the directions this morning & 2 bars = High); DTD that evening. Mon CBFM showed Maximum/Ovulating; had DTD already that morning. Didn't at night, due to stressful convo about custody/ex-wife issues (ongoing issue in our house, unfortunately). Tues (today) CBFM showed max/ov; had DTD already this morning.

My iphone app has me ovulating today, with "good days" from Sunday through tomorrow.

Are we in good shape so far? Barring anymore ex-wife chat, we'll likely DTD tonight & tomorrow morning, poss nightly the rest of the week.

Argh. Why am I paranoid that I'm just not doing this right??

2cats222 · 29/01/2013 12:21

Sidney sounds to me you did a great job... if I read it right;
Ov either 28th/29th & you had BD 27th PM, 28th PM 29th AM and even better if you managed the 24th/25th too. Fx good luck
