Glad things are calmer in here now, I didn't like the earlier atmos!

Mmmmmmm cake!

Hoping for some BFPs soon!!!

2cats222 · 29/01/2013 19:12

Sorry guys, haven't tested again. Now have docs app in the morning to shout at them get to the bottom of it

MotherOfCleo · 29/01/2013 19:14

If my body doesnt make up its mind soon 2cats im going to the docs too! I wish u luck hun.

Boodle9 · 29/01/2013 20:11

Oh maaaaaaaaaan, there's loads of stuff to read since last night. Humph. I hate reading. Sulk. (Have clearly spent too much time with stroppy children at school today.)

Rewind - Viv, it was a glass of ribena, I swear to god. Tries to cover up shame of throwing wine at recovered alcoholic Next time I'll just stick to the good ol' sausage assault.

Oooh 'eck, it did get a bit tense earlier. Still, AIBU is always kicking off like that; that's what makes it so fun to read! It's a proper little fight club.

Mother and 2cats, hope things are OK your way. I'm sort of enjoying being on CD12; little bit of sexy time later I think. I can't stand the 2 1 week wait and just knowing it's futile. Hoping that that is not the case for you two though.

Pipbin · 29/01/2013 20:16

Hedgehog Cakes

Thundercatsarego · 29/01/2013 20:21

Exactly that pip! I've not seen diddy ones before- they are gorgeous! Did you make em?

Boodle9 · 29/01/2013 20:23

Captain - officially change your name to Captainmoll of Switzerland, park yourself up on that fence and never ever leave! I'm bloody brilliant at staying neutral because I'm too lazy to have a proper opinion.

Why are we talking about cakes?! I want a cake!

Thundercatsarego · 29/01/2013 20:27

It takes me so long to figure out what's actually going on I don't get time to take sides either! And mostly I'm pretty live and let live.

I thought of cakes because of 2cats talking about a hedgehog of cocktail sausages which reminded me of that old party classic from my childhood.

captainmoll · 29/01/2013 21:12

Pip I love these cakes! I had one as a birthday cake back in the mists of time when I was little and I loved it so much.. Nostalgia..

Boodle Thunder Yeah, the fence is a little uncomfortable on my buttocks, but TTC is stressful enough without fisticuffs as well. We're all going through this shitty thing together - I'm a lover, not a fighter Grin I'm staying here in Switzerland with all the fondues and chocolates

I want cake now Sad Sodding diet..

Hi Janey!! How's it going over there in the magic land of preggersness?

2Cats hope you get an answer soon - I've got no idea about those lines.. The spotting is odd though and I think your doc is mean for the 'wait a few months' remark. I'm sure s/he meant to be reassuring, but it's not really the response you needed!

Boodle9 · 29/01/2013 21:51

Cake nostalgia! Fantastic! My happiest cake memories are of birthday party cupcakes with either the little silver balls (dragees, I think?) or edible paper transfers featuring cartoon characters like Spiderman! Anyone else remember the latter or just me? We should be careful when reminiscing about childhood though...if you get onto Children's TV there'll be no stopping me!

Captain, is it cheese fondue? Please may I have a little bit?

On the whole TTC issue, have any of you ever had concerns about thyroid raised? Either in regards to TTC or for any other reason? When I first came on this thread, Hazle was very nice and shared some info but just wondering if there's anyone else? I'm feeling more and more fed up about mine every day. I really think I have problems, even though my levels aren't quite high enough for clinical attention yet. I am convinced I'm symptomatic but I think the doctor just assumes I'm looking for a reason for my infertility (it's crap writing that).

Pipbin · 29/01/2013 23:25

No, I didn't make the hedgehog cakes, it's a picture from a 1980s cookery book.

Aquarius1 · 30/01/2013 13:15

boodle I had tests for thyroid probs a couple of years ago because of some symptoms I had (cold all the time& heart palpitations- I just thought it was anaemia) the levels came back fine but there were other things in my blood which were a bit low (eg. WBC) so they kept testing me every 3/6 mths to see if the levels stayed the same. have only now been referred to haematologist since new GP joined the surgery (who I went to see) and decided it needed more investigation. I reckon you should keep plugging away and ask for more tests if you haven't already. Don't know if that helps much..hope you get some answers.

navis176 · 30/01/2013 17:51

mmmm cake....a friend of mine apparently has some lemon drizzle and choc cake awaiting my collection....

Thundercatsarego · 30/01/2013 20:04

Hey boodle, I went for blood test after feeling so light headed and lethargic a few weeks after ERPC. It showed v low iron and low thyroid so I have to go back in March for retest. Lots of thyroid issues in my family so won't be surprised if it will be a problem soon if not now. If (big if) I do get a bfp again I'll bash down docs door to get it monitored as I know it can be linked to mc and that first pg ended in mmc. Don't know of that's helpful!

Pipbin · 30/01/2013 21:18

Where is everyone then? This thread has never been so quiet.

Thundercatsarego · 30/01/2013 21:33

I'm here pip. How are you?

What are you buying with the money you are borrowing?

MotherOfCleo · 30/01/2013 21:33

hi pip im lurking, too scared to test incase I get a BFN but having a serious wtf cycle.....FX

Thundercatsarego · 30/01/2013 21:34

What's happening now then moc?

captainmoll · 30/01/2013 21:46

Hello, I'm still lurking too. Just waiting on tenterhooks for dh's SA results, my MRI results and both our blood test results!

Mother, hope your cycles makes its mind up soon (and decides on a big shiny BFP)

happylass · 30/01/2013 21:50

I'm here too! CD5 = no mans land. Rubbish!!

MotherOfCleo · 30/01/2013 21:52

Not much news, getting heaps of cramps and pains, quite uncomfortable! Not like AF but I'm not too hopeful as obv the spotting last week and the couple of small clots can't be good! It's all just so different to the norm though which makes me wonder.
All the spotting has stopped at the moment so until AF arrives I'm going to try to stay hopeful.
Going to try not to test until Friday at the earliest as the BFNs kill me.

Aquarius1 · 30/01/2013 21:54

And me... I thought the App wasn't working properly or summat

Am 5 days from af here according to Iperiod - and I don't have sore boobs for a change- not that I'm at all symptom spotting .... Wink

SidneyBristow · 30/01/2013 21:55

Hey,
Captain when do you think the test results will come back? How long is the turnaround time again? Super quick I hope! I've booked an appt wiht a GP for next week, and will probably line up a SA for DH & whatever they recommend for me. Fx all come back alright for you!

Mother! This thread needs a BFP soon, maybe it's your turn!! Exciting!!

Oddly I have some thyroid issues in my history, nothing bad enough for medication, just monitoring. A cousin of mine has the same issues & wound up seeing a dr who believed that if a patient shows symptoms that aren't completely supported by blood tests, that the symptoms were still very real and therefore should be treated with meds. I wonder if that attitude has caught on? Will be adding it to my list of things to talk about with the GP.

CD16 here and have finished our shagathon. We are worn out! Whatever happens (BFP please please please) I think this time we gave it our all, which will hopefully give me some peace of mind over the next couple of weeks.

Boodle9 · 30/01/2013 22:09

Sidney, where is this doctor?! I'm like a walking textbook of symptoms but the doctors I've seen about it just don't seem to give a damn! Thanks Thunder and Aquarius for answering too. I have ongoing problems with anaemia so maybe I need to just go to doctor and demand they do something! I'm not sure how much longer I can go on feeling as ill as I do at the moment; it's making me feel really miserable and low. Sad However, I worry that the doctor will just blame it on infertility blues and blow me off.

I would like to see a BFP on here too. I've not been a regular on a TTC thread before and as such am yet to see a BFP be 'got' by someone I 'know'!

I'm on CD 14 and no sign of ovulation for me, which blows a bit really. I usually ovulate a bit late (CD15-18) but by now I'm usually starting to see a faint line on the stick; today's was completely bare. Am hoping it's not an anovulatory month because next month is likely to be a no-goer due to DH working away. Not that I have any reason to hope it could happen this month no matter how much we shag!

Boodle9 · 30/01/2013 22:18

I'm going to "do a Boodle" now and post twice in a row because there is ALWAYS something I forget to say. (I hope everyone just thinks it's a cute quirk...?!)

No sign of Viv today then? Where are you, Viv? I'm worried you've buggered off! Don't do that - we all need somewhere to vent our spleen.

Also, wanted to make another addition to Boodle's ridiculous list of jealousy. You'll hopefully remember item 1 is the moon (for her crescent 'round tummy' and association with fertility). Coming in at number 2 is a car that I keep seeing on my way to work with the number plate 'BFP'.

Bastards. The both of them.
