Heh@Drizz googling fish names!
Queenie my needles lady says the same. She has been trying to get me to wear a vest for months. It took me back to the same battle I had with my mum around age 8! I have a thermal vest for specially cold conditions, but this winter hasn't really merited it so far. And tfl have helpfully heated my local trains. Which you think would be a good thing, but it's not. You arrive at the station all bundled up, and then get so hot on the train you melt all your make up and sweat like a pig. Actually when I had my weird chem preg or whatever it was a couple of months ago I did two things - I cut out wheat because I was trying it to see if it gave me more energy and because my acu lady kept nagging me about warmth, I used loads of hot water bottles and wheat bags (including in the office - people must have thought I had a really long period....). Veh exciting that you are soon to be laying. BTW, I agree with the wise Rie about your consultant.
On the womb warming front, when we had our pre-IVF appointment this week, they told me not to use ibruprofen for period pains (fine, I know that can interfere with ov, although I sometimes take it and it doesn't seem to change a thing for me) but also not to use hot water bottles as the heat could damage things (I'm sure she said more than that, but I tuned out at the thought of my beloved hot water bottle being wrenched away from me). I did challenge her on it and she said something about things being very heat sensitive down there. I think she was confusing my bits with bollocks, tbh. It's the direct opposite of what needles lady says. I'll just figure it out myself then.
Rie sorry to hear they are being crap about the tests. Why does everything have to be such a battle?
Curses country buses for Norf.
Needles lady would not have approved of my day (although I was wearing a thermal vest). I was shooting. Outside. All day. Despite wearing about 26 layers including a ski base layer, ski socks and ski gloves, I was bloody freezing. Nonetheless. I rock. I got 9 bulleyes in a row (annoyingly dropped one point on my 10th shot, but that was still the best set of 10 of the day from me, KFZK or the ex-army chap we shoot with). At 600yds. When I couldn't feel my fingers. I'm really quite proud of that. Fvk with me at your peril, people.
And then on the way home, we called in to see the potential new kitty. She is lovely. So pretty. My only doubt it she seemed to walk a bit funny. The lady said she had a full bill of health from the vet and she might have just been cowering a bit on short legs due to strangers being there, but I want to ask some more questions about that I think. But she is flipping lovely.
