Doff your top hats, lean on your canes, 'tis a Victorian Christmas for the BESH. Baste those turkeys in Victoria & Albert style, and maintain a stiff upper lip when you fill in the BESHtionnaire to see if you are cynical stoic enough to win a Baybee.

Tea is the best thing in the world. Fact.

maamalady · 10/01/2013 17:26

Been to GP. She confirmed everything the sonographer said at the time. She is going to call up the infertility clinic and ask them what to do regarding referrals - whether I should see the gynae to sort out the cyst/tube issues first and then refer for IVF, or do both at once, and whether to refer to the infertility clinic or the gynae stuff rather than just the usual people. I have to go and have FSH retested next day two (am expecting droid to arrive next weekend) and redo chlamydia swabs at the same time.

I'm partly pleased because stuff is moving on, and partly sad because this means it's real, and we have to face up to not winning a natural baybee (barring ironi-diffage).

maamalady · 10/01/2013 17:29

Now drinking gin, obv.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 10/01/2013 18:14

Ah that sadness again :(. Sorry you're mizz Draf. Suddenly it is real because the medical world has confirmed your barren suspicions.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 10/01/2013 18:22

Sorry to hear that evil, it is a disappointment when your worst fears are confirmed Sad

EuroShagmore · 10/01/2013 19:02

Sorry about that Draf. But it does mean things are moving forward, as you say.

I should be at the gym. But I am stuck at my desk doing my annual appraisal form. Bleugh. I really hate this crap. I didn't hit my target. We all know I am going to get a miniscule or no pay raise and no bonus. Do I really need to spend hours on this stupidly long form trying to put a positive spin on things when we know what will happen when The Man looks at the numbers? It's such BS.

Northey · 10/01/2013 19:09

Bum, draf. Just... bum.

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 10/01/2013 19:45

The OP is back on that thread and being rather defensive. I'm restraining myself from posting as she's clearly in cloud cuckoo land Hmm

JethroTull · 10/01/2013 20:30

I'm another one that loves tea. I actually would rather give up most other things than give up tea.

Draff good news about referral. Keep on at them to keep things moving.

Euro don't spend any longer on your appraisal. It'll make no difference. Leave the office. Now.

Still got 4 follicles. 2 have grown & become dominant so I am likely to only get 2 eggs. They gave us the opportunity to cancel this cycle & start again in 3 months on a higher stimm dose. But also explained that due to my low AMH I will generally be a 'poor responder' so higher stimm dose doesn't necessarily mean more eggs for me. We decided to keep going with these 4 follicles. Next scan on Saturday & probable trigger shot with a view of egg collection on Monday.

Egg collection Monday - ulp and eek! Many supportive vibes to you, jethro.

maamalady · 10/01/2013 20:51

Thanks guys :)

Good luck, jeth!

JethroTull · 10/01/2013 21:03

Good fish terms Draff Grin

JethroTull · 10/01/2013 21:04

Northey it's exactly that - gulp & eek. Suddenly this 'thing' that we've been talking about for 3 years is happening. Slightly surreal.

Northey · 10/01/2013 21:09

Can we hang on to the gurnard of growth for use in sechsfail situations too? Or will our various men not appreciate the joke?

Northey · 10/01/2013 21:10

Or perhaps the Tench of Tumescence would be better for that.

Fish fish fish.

I can't believe you are so close, jeff.

maamalady · 10/01/2013 21:16

Tench of tumescence! Or perhaps the turbot of tumescence for BESH with particularly well-endowed menfolk Grin

EuroShagmore · 10/01/2013 21:19

Bloody hell Jeff not long now. By this time next week, you could have an embie on board. Eeek!

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 10/01/2013 21:22

Well done on the growing Jeffy. Wow, very surreal to think that, as Euro says, this time next week....

So folks, today is 15dpo. My longest luteal phase was 16 days. The cramps have gone away. Temperature is still up. Draw your own conclusions.

Northey · 10/01/2013 21:25

I iz clueless about temps. But I'm a great fan of punching kidneys. Is this a situation where I get to do that?

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 10/01/2013 21:28

Possibly Norf, possibly.

Northey · 10/01/2013 21:31

Fiver at the ready?

FrankellyMyDearIDontGiveADamn · 10/01/2013 21:35

If temp is still up in the morning I will go out and buy a pee stick for Saturday. If I had one in the house I'd have caved by now!

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 10/01/2013 23:23

Loving the fish talk, obviously. How about the Halibut of Hopefulness?

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 11/01/2013 02:37

I have sneaked a peek at the chart frank. Very promising!

I iz not an insomniac but on nights :( first of three :( :( but have decided to ask boss for no more nights :) only 9 weeks left to work! Hmm

jeff hang in there. I think it's wise to proceed. Will they transfer just the one embryo?

How about the Stickleback of sechsing? To be given out when someone thinks they're laying an egg?

Northey · 11/01/2013 07:14

Any temp news, frankel?

Am leaving work at lunchtime in order to see AMNH this weekend. Wheeeee! Though it does look bloody freezing in Wales.
