Red I had pains on left side on day of smiley and was sure I'd ovulated then. But when I had the scan I was told I ovulated from right side so I've no clue what happened!

SantaKittenClaws · 10/12/2012 09:29

Morning ladies, happy Monday :)

A sympathetic :o at your shag-induced injury red - there are definitely worse ways to pull a muscle! Can't really help with your ov pain question though as I've never noticed any symptoms myself (could just not be paying close enough attention though!). I'd say it would make sense to feel something a couple of days pre-ov though as that will be when all your follicles are busy growing and doing their follicle-y thang won't it?

Hugs for littlemiss sounds obvious but try not to worry - at the end of the day it's kind of out of your hands now so you need to concentrate on looking after yourself and staying healthy. To be purely practical about it, worrying isn't going to be productive or helpful so you may as well not! :)

SantaKittenClaws · 10/12/2012 09:30

Wow lol they can tell which side you ov'd from after you've conceived??! That's pretty amazing...

RedRobin1 · 10/12/2012 10:26

kitten I think yes you are right! I googled and apparently the growing follicles can cause OV pain few days before OV. My pelvic scan showed I had 16 follicles on the left and 14 on the right. So maybe thats why so much pain.

Seeing the GP next week to get results of my blood tests and an explanation of the pelvic scan. Praying its not PCOS and my LH levels come back normal.

twinkle how long did your DH wait to get his second SA done?

OP posts:
RedRobin1 · 10/12/2012 10:28

Yes I think they can see the ruptured follicle from where you ovulated and sometimes it even has some remnants of blood, so they can clearly tell which side you OV from in your pregnancy scan.

lol and littlemiss time to put your feet up and fx you both will have very happy and healthy pregnancies.

lol - I was on the ttc after mc thread in the summer and now we have a graduates thread but the other ladies are all a good bit further on than me so i might join that thread too. First tri is going to be awful!! I've almost just told myself to expect the worst so if the 11 week scan is good news then i'll be happy but i won't get too attached so if it's not good news i'll (hopefully) be able to cope. Argh!! Hating this!!

red - feel your pain..ouch!! And honestly don't get stressed about pcos, if that's what the results say then at least you'll know so you'll be able to get stuck into the agnus castus!!

winkle - i dtd around same days as you last cycle, hope it works for you too!! Grin

alliwantforxmas · 10/12/2012 17:00

Hello Ladies,

Do you mind if I join your thread. AF arrived this morning so will be dtd like mad again for the next month. We are ttc our first, and this is our 4th cycle.

Feel a lot more positive this cycle. I am started taking Pregnacare Conception at the end of last cycle, and already feel a lot more perkier in myself. Ordered some of the Wellman Conception for dh to start this month. We also get to try our new Clearblue Fertlity Monitor this month - hoping to see some peak days.

As I have thyroid issues I am also having LH, FSH, etc tests run this month so hopefully they will be ok, but I have made lots of positive changes to my diet. Dh and I are eating lots of Brazil Nuts (read they are good for fertility), and I am drinking whole milk (also read that was good for egg production). If I don't get my BFP in the New Year, will follow you ladies and try EPO as well.

Liz xxx

fatasbrandybutter · 10/12/2012 19:19

Welcome all ! And welcome All! He he!
Keeping fx for all of us on this Fred!
Am still waiting for af - have got my pre-af week of spotting but af not due til thurs! Bit annoying really as want to get on with dtd like all the rest of you! Grin

twinklestar2 · 10/12/2012 19:49

Red - he went back after 3 months as that's his long it takes for new sorts to be made. Good luck for your tests next week.

Welcome Liz, looks like you're doing all the rights things :)

weetinselchops · 10/12/2012 20:37

fatas I'm waiting for af to leave, and dh to get home next week before we can get down to business :) Definitely, definitely in with a good shot this month. There will be no last minute rota changes, no leaving early, no extra days. Gotta love Christmas :)

Smile87 · 10/12/2012 21:20

Praying for my bfp :)

RedRobin1 · 11/12/2012 08:51

fx wee this will be your month. Hope AF finishes soon!

we've dtd on Cd6,7,9,12 and 13. I am due to OV any time now but we didn't manage to dtd last night (cd14) and DH is away till Wed. Don't know if we'll be able to cover OV :( We really wanted to but were so so shattered yesterday but now I am wishing we had made the effort....

temps and OPKs haven't detected OV yet. hope it stays that way till Wed.

OP posts:
twinklestar2 · 11/12/2012 09:08

Red - don't worry. You're supposed to dtd every 2-3 days so weds won't be too late plus you'll have swimmers in you from Sunday.

SantaKittenClaws · 11/12/2012 09:54

Yeah I second what winkle said, I son't think you need to worry sounds like you've covered your bases pretty well, and you can jump DH on Wednesday just to make doubly sure :)

Welcome alliwant - good luck with all your tests!

resipsa · 11/12/2012 10:07

So this is where you are all hiding! Is the festive name change mandatory? Been considering Santaresipsa - has a sort of Italiany but festive sound. What do you think? Not read the rest of the new thread yet but hope everyone is well. Nice to see you were thinking of me in my absence, too!
I'm going a teeny bit mad today, actually. On Sunday, about 8-9DPO, I had one spot of red blood. Just one. Bit odd. Fast forward 3 days' worth of googling and I'm convinced, of course, that it was implantation bleeding...only two days to go to see if I'm right!

BelissimaLol · 11/12/2012 10:17

Ooh exciting res! When are you poas then?
Yeah we were missing you Grin
Lots of action next week then from res red winkle and pip?
Can't take all the excitement Grin

resipsa · 11/12/2012 10:50

Hi lol - can you not bear to leave us??? How're you feeling?

BelissimaLol · 11/12/2012 11:58

Hi res no I can't leave you Grin. I will leave when you all get a bfp and come with me. It's lonely out there.
Unless I'm not welcome Confused...
I'm feeling ok. Very tired and as hungry as a lion. Had a scan ten days ago and have another one this Friday. Am terrified but think that's unavoidable.
How u feeling?

Thingymajigs · 11/12/2012 11:59

That sounds promising resipsa I'm the same with Googling atm. I'm 9dpo and my breasts are leaking colostrum. Blush I'm trying to be sensible about it but its difficult not to get my hopes up. I haven't breastfed in 8 years but I did have some leakage when I came off the pill so it's not that unexpected really. I'll avoid telling my partner because I still feel like an idiot from last months "symptoms."

Thingymajigs · 11/12/2012 12:14

Oh god. I've googled it and most of them with this symptom reported a BFP later on. This is not helping. I'm going to forget about it by forcing myself to read the Hobbit before we see it this weekend. I need distractions.

RedRobin1 · 11/12/2012 12:44

oooo res and thingy I can hardly contain my excitement. Not long to go till you get that dec bfp. Fingers and toes crossed!

Thanks winkle and kitten feel a bit relieved - never thought about Sunday's deposit coming so handy! We did it twice on Sunday but I didn't count the second time as I was on top Blush so not sure how much went the right way!

How's your mission for Dec going kitten ? AF gone?

OP posts:
LittleMissSnowShine · 11/12/2012 13:38

thingy - i noticed that about 10 days ago before i got my bfp and i hadn't b/f since about May 2011 so I thought it was weird. FX FOR U!!

res - ooh that does sound good! FX FOR U TOO!!

lol - yes it is lonely and weird out there on the bfp / due in August threads. Feels too soon to leave safe space of ttc thread!!

I did a clearblue digi last night (too impatient to wait for FMU!) and I got bfp 3 weeks plus, so I am probably a little over 5 weeks and my hormone levels are increasing as they should be. Had some very light staining in CM (sorry tmi) this morning tho, but it was really just a very thin tinge of pale brown not at all like the bleeding I had the last time at 9 weeks which was, unfortunately, more like heavy spotting and bright red and which did not end well. Keep trying to remind myself that very light staining at 5 weeks is normal, likely to just be implantation bleeding, HCG levels are apparently fine and I have no cramping. But of course after last time even the slightest tinge of anything at all sets alarm bells ringing :( If that's all there is I'm just going to try and wait it out and discuss it with GP when I see him on 20th, hopefully he will refer me over for an early scan cos forking out £90 for a private one right around xmas will be a bit ouch... In the meantime...STAYING POSITIVE (through gritted teeth lol)

Thingymajigs · 11/12/2012 13:57

Oh little I hope a scan can reassure you soon. You must be so anxious. I'm far more aware of the risks this time around so I imagine I'll also feel scared for the first trimester.
Thanks red It would be so lovely to have a Christmas BFP but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much. Good luck with the results next week btw.

resipsa · 11/12/2012 14:16

Lol - of course you're welcome! Glad all is going OK. We can't have you feeling virtually lonely at Xmas Xmas Smile
Hi red, fatas, wee, kitten & winkle.
And littlemiss - how're you feeling?
Have I been fooled by any other name changes? Thingy - are we acquainted?

SantaKittenClaws · 11/12/2012 14:24

Oooh thingy and res that's exciting for you both - a couple of christmas bfps would be a lovely way to end the year! :o

Hugs for you little, sounds like it's nothing at all but can understand why you'd be worrying. Hope the 20th comes round quickly for you!

for lol of course you're welcome don't be daft!

red yep af has gone and it's game on for cycle 9! AF only lasted 1.5 days plus a day of spotting, so we're 2 dtd's down and only on CD5....wonder if we can keep it up for a fortnight/3 weeks! Xmas Confused
