I caved and tested when I got home from work after drinking 600mls of Diet Coke about 3pm. I must have been 11DPO at most. My logical side says it was BFN (but would have been in those circumstances anyway). My illogical side says there was a very, very faint line. Gawd, why do we do this to ourselves??? Gonna wait until Fri then see where I am...

res did you see a line? and yes 11dpo is very early so it should get darker by Friday! Fingers crossed for you.

for those who are temping - my temps have started to rise and I have dotted crosshairs which confirm I ovulated on Monday CD14, but my internet cheapie OPK was -ve. I had 4 pints of water that day so my wee was diluted when I did the OPK. Could this be an explanation for the -ve result?
do I take it I have OVed?

Going to go for an extra shag tonight to cover all bases!

Great news res! Please let us know when you take another test.
I caved and tested today at 10dpo. It was negative and now I'm feeling quite negative. More Googling has revealed that lactation at odd times could be a sign of a hormone imbalance which could indicate a tumour, PCOS or liver disease. Christ, this week has taken a turn for the worst. I'm going to see a doctor tomorrow to get a blood test. Sorry, just needed to get that off my chest this morning as I'm not telling my partner about any of this atm.
red, it's quite common to miss the LH surge so I wouldn't worry about that. The dotted crosshairs indicate a possible ovulation date. The information on the chart might be conflicting so sometimes it uses a dotted line to show that its not 100%. If the temps stay up for 3 days then you can be far more certain that you've ovulated. That's a good idea to get one more try in. I try not to stop until I see 3 high temps.

thanks thingy I have had high temps for 2 days and the only conflict is the -ve OPK. I will follow your advice and look out for 3 days of raised temps to be sure. I am desperately hoping I did OV on Monday as we had lots of sex on the weekend - so def be a few spermies waiting around. Hoping my body didn't gear for OV and hasn't yet OVed.

res lol crosshairs are dotted lines on a chart - don't know why they are called cross hairs but they cross each other like x and y axis on a graph!

thingy hope you are okay - good to get a blood test done, just so you are on the safe side. dr. google is very scary so don't believe everything you read.

thing - 10dpo is still v early to test. I've never had a bfp at 10 dpo, earliest i've had one is 12 dpo. Hope you're ok and keeping fx for you that you maybe just tested too early?

red - pinpointing OV is a tricky business!! Just shag whenever you can and keep your bases covered? Good luck for this cycle

res - oooooohhhhh i wish i had a pic of my v faint bfp from cd30 i was about to chuck test in bin as a bfn at 2 minute mark and then i saw...something...so i waited til the full 3 mins had passed and there was a very faint line on my crappy tesco test. did another tesco one that afternoon. same thing. decided not to drink at the party i was going to that night and did a test the next afternoon which was day af was due with a clearblue. more definite line. 2 days later proper bfp. a line is a line is a line etc etc keeping everything crossed!!

I feel that I am building myself up for a huge fall now. Everytime I go to the loo, I have to tell myself - "well, you didn't really believe it'd happen did you" as a coping mechanism!

I feel weird - like I did when pregnant in Jan 12 - but I said the same in June, July and August and wasn't so guess it's just the effects of raging hormones!!!

I am getting copious amounts of EWCM today and had the same yesterday.

So I def don't think I would have ovulated. Argh! Why is the body soooo damn unpredictable. Just want two cycles that are similar. So far none of mine seem to be.

red I'd keep shagging if I were you! I keep shagging in the 2ww anyway to make it go quicker, if you do it eod that's only 7 shags then the wait is over!

By my estimates I think I'm 5 weeks pg now. Just so paranoid it's not going to work out, getting obsessed with how many cups of tea I'm having etc. It seems like forever until first scan so I'm just trying not to think about it too much, it won't feel real unless I get ms like I did last time, at about 7 weeks. Can't believe I'm wishing for that!

Well I think I'm cd1 here! Bit confused tho! Am due on tomorrow but yesterday and today very heavy bleeding increasingly and now the usual pains - don't normally get 3 or 4 days run up like that which is a bit odd but all seems more normal for a cd1 this evening so I've popped the enormous EPOs! So def no pre-christmas BFP for me - who else is around the same as me??

reindeer - think im just a couple of days ahead of you and it is so.nervewracking!! Did u do a digi test and get your 3 weeks plus since conception. I did that on Monday and it was reassuring to see that. I wasnt expecting sickness to kick in for another week or so but feeling a bit iffy this morning!

I think I def didn't OV on Monday, got two more shags in! we've dtd cd6,7,9,12,13,16,17. whew! thats it I don't think DH and I can do anymore shagging. We are both exhausted from it.

I think if it doesn't work this month, atleast I'll feel we timed it right and threw all we had at it. I am OVing today, got a +ve OPK and temps have dipped too. Really hope one strong and lucky sperm is making its way to my egg.

CD8 for me, will start opks today in case of early ov, think I'll stop epo after Saturday (CD10) either way just to be safe as I've had a couple of 24 day cycles recently and don't want to push my luck with it.

Oh yes, I stopped taking EPO at CD10 too, just to be on safe side. I have been wet like a fish during my fertile period (cd9-17) and very good quality CM - an increase in quantity too.
