A wordy fred title I know, but it's too early to think of something snappier!

Get ready for the end of the world: grab your OFRS, your emergency gin supply and join us shrivelled harridans in the BESH Bunker.

Well I'm thinking at last I know at the moment I'm not diffed and probably won't get that way without some intervention so can relax over the holidays...and try to not let the green eyed monster take over when I see my sil!
I'll go back prob first week in Jan if my cycles are anything to play by and insist then I get referred. If it want for the net and opk kits etc I'd probably buy what she was saying about missing the window etc buying know better! I have zip faith in gp...one missed my mums brain tumour several times and came up with some very unlikely reasons for her symptoms. Gp are jack of all trades matter of none but unfortunately they need to cooperate as far as the referral.

Night night all

EuroShagmore · 14/12/2012 07:33

drizz there is always short protocol IVF (without downregging) as well as the options I am looking at. Downregging seems to be about 75% for the convenience of the clinic, so they can time EC when they want. It actually makes me very angry that I went through that so that some dr could be sure of getting the weekend off. Create do EC 7 days a week, because with no/low drugs, they don't have that control. I certainly like their approach. I'll like it even more if it gets me updiffed!

Happy Anniversary winkly. Does he have a surprise planned for later perhaps?

blu I think being a GP must be a very difficult job, but even so, some of them do seem to be extraordinarily crap. I have actually found the young ones best - they are less arrogant about their diagnosis and will keep more of an open mind.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 14/12/2012 08:58

Happy anniversary winkly. Hoping with shaggy that he remembers or had something planned for the weekend all along.

Good point euro and of course I can decide to keep plugging at the IUI, after all it worked once. It is definitely stabbing on the train home after a work thing tonight, IUI on Sun. I have one perfect follie, beautiful lining, and am wondering why I did stabbing for 11 days to get a result I get without any stabbing every month... Oh well. Nevermind.

I'll be following your experience with short protocol closely! We did decide to do one more round of SO IUI (hopefully with an extra follie) in January. After that maybe a last long holiday and then possibly, maybe IVF.

WinklyVersusTheZombies · 14/12/2012 09:33

Morning

I am hungover

My drunken full stops gave the wrong impression I think! We had a delicious dinner out, but as well as celebrating I wanted to acknowledge how hard this year had been and how much hope we had about getting diffed a year ago, and the year before that. He absolutely didn't want to. Fair enough I suppose but for me, not talking about stuff doesn't make me not think about it.

blu I agree some GPs are awful - I'm at a practice and there is a grumpy old man who knows nothing. The young woman is very good but has had the audacity to go off on maternity leave.

Our Christmas do is on Tuesday. Couldn't be arsed at all, but it's compulsory :(

KatAndKit · 14/12/2012 10:35

Anyone who is on t'other place - dor has laid her baybee boy :)

WinklyVersusTheZombies · 14/12/2012 10:46

EuroShagmore · 14/12/2012 11:42

I saw that too Kat. And there is a photo up. Awwww.

Frankelstein · 14/12/2012 11:58

Massive congrats to dot for laying! Hope all went very well.

Yay for brewing twinz bugs. I remember our slight twins panic after two ripe follies followed by a BFP. No chance of that for us this month...

Good that winkman was happy to celebrate. Although I have quite a talky boy, he is very reluctant to acknowledge shitty shizzle at celebratory moments. So maybe seek the conversation you need to have at a different time.

FriendofDorothy · 14/12/2012 13:10

I think I am still in shock!

Edward James was born at 8.13am today. Labour lasted 3.5 hours only. He was born 45 mins after we got to hospital. Gas and air only with a nice second degree tear to his name and my fanjo!

He is beautiful tho.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 14/12/2012 13:22

And you're posting already?! Massive congrats, well done and nice name! Sorry about the tear, but to be expected at this rate of birth giving!

FriendofDorothy · 14/12/2012 14:07

The joys of an iPhone! Wink

maamalady · 14/12/2012 16:02

Congratulations, Dor, lovely news :)

bluer · 14/12/2012 17:33

Congrats dor

Ahem
Ok as we know progesterone was none existent...Droid made an appearance earlier in the week...but I crazily felt sore boobs and it appears that at the moment I am diffed...I honestly truly am not an insta_differ and at the moment I'm bloody terrified. The doc seems to think the low progesterone was a blip but I'm convinced I'm on for a cp or early loss...out can go from 12 to viable in under a week can it?

maamalady · 14/12/2012 17:37

OMG, blue! Fantastic news! Grin I will keep my fingers crossed for you :)

WinklyVersusTheZombies · 14/12/2012 17:40

Oh my goodness blu that's amazing, I have absolutely everything crossed for you

bluer · 14/12/2012 17:42

Thanks. I swore in the doc this morning...twice. I don't know why I tested but I did. Already I'm having cramps etc but I don't know if its all in my head. The way I see it is that at the moment its the closest i've ever been and if its a cp at least I can be positive that I'm ovulating which I wasn't after the blood tests. I'm scared now

bluer · 14/12/2012 17:44

But hope you ladies will let me stick around...however if that's not appropriate I'd understand

ArielTheBahHumbugMermaid · 14/12/2012 17:44

Oh Dor, that's wonderful! Bet you can't believe he's finally here! Many congratulations xxxx

Bluer let me come here and fight you, you instadiffer Grin It has been known - women who have been trying for yonks, join and barren group and suddenly they're diffed. Congratulations. Have you seen the PESH page here?

EuroShagmore · 14/12/2012 17:46

Bugs I had two mature follies on one of my IUI rounds and briefly dreamed of twins!

Congrats Dor. The tear sounds ouchie but that is a very quick labour!

bluer · 14/12/2012 17:47

Thanks rie I'll have a look. I just don't get it..we did nothing different..I'm fact we did it less than usual. I've been totally shellshocked..waiting for mr df add he doesn't know yet...I was crying lay night after that nutter doc too

EuroShagmore · 14/12/2012 17:51

Blu! OMG. I hadn't refreshed when I posted so didn't see your post. Blimey. That's fantastic. How long had you been trying?

I reckon the prog test was just badly timed. It'll be fine. :)

Frankelstein · 14/12/2012 17:57

Blue congratulations!!!!!! A line is a line and all that shizzle Wink

Dor way to go on the speed of light birth and posting so soon - you is hardcore!
