The femmes fatales of the BESH are lying back and thinking of England

As witches and pumpkins become old hat, the BESH are scrubbing up well in salute to James Bond in general and Skyfall in particular. Put on your slinky cocktail dresses and stiletto heels, grab a Martini, and start schmoozing with well-dressed secret agents.

Insta-diffs will be shot with a quip but without a qualm. Anyone else wanting to join can dodge a few bullets post the BESHtionnaire.

Well done Rie! Are you on pills or stabbing?

FrankelDeBeauvoir · 31/10/2012 21:57

Of course, if I read your post properly I would know the answer Blush

Stabbing is not so bad. I highly recommend the use of an ice cube to numb the area. The difference when I didn't use one was, well, ouchy.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 31/10/2012 22:00

I will not miss booze i will not miss booze i will not miss booze i will not miss booze i will not miss booze. And it won't be remotely festive this year anyway. Every cloud.

Stabbing Frank

Northey · 31/10/2012 22:02

Oh yes, I did see that, but you said it so calmly I thought it must be something well known !

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 31/10/2012 22:04

I am calm i am calm i am calm i am calm i am calm i am calm! I AM CALM!

FrankelDeBeauvoir · 31/10/2012 22:06

You'll be fine Rie, the lack of booze isn't that bad

maamalady · 31/10/2012 23:35

Hurrah! Good news, rie :)

Regarding predictive BESHness, I had no clue. Droids were regular from the word go at age twelve, and never had any issues. I was a bit suspicious when droid took a while to come back after stopping the pill, but on the whole assumed diffedness would occur within a year like all the statistics say. How wrong I was.

EuroShagmore · 01/11/2012 10:18

Norf I'm just at the tail end of Droid, so the exhaustion is not causing any menkulling, thankfully.

How are you doing? Your work sounds pretty supportive. (My industry is not noted for its fluffiness. Once, when a US partner in my former firm was told that someone in London could not be reached because he was at a funeral, the reply was "He's at a funeral? Does he have a cell phone?")

Rie not that I want to help you to fall off the wagon or anything, but when my friend had her FET she had no expectations that it would work and carried on drinking. That's the one that resulted in identical twins... I didn't drink for my cancelled cycle but if we try again in the New Year, I am actually planning on light drinking, just keeping everything as normal as possible (and light drinking is what I have done for most of the past two years of ttc, save for the months when I gave up completely when I felt miserable). The odd glass stops the awkward questions too. The last thing most IVFers want is people asking awkward questions at work events or whatever.

I can't stop looking at the photo KFZK took of me cuddling the newborn last night.

FrankelDeBeauvoir · 01/11/2012 10:52

Wotcha biatches Wink How was everyone's Halloween? I only had 2 visitors (very cute little girls from our estate in princessy style witch outfits), so I have a not insignificant bowl of chocolate eyeballs waiting to be scoffed Grin

In menkul update, my boobs seem bigger. I'm probably imagining it (or wishful thinking. I am an A cup after all), but it's all adding fuel to the fire Confused

maamalady · 01/11/2012 11:33

Halloween party at friends house was great fun until I had to look at scan pictures I carved a giant cock into a pumpkin Grin

OP posts:
EuroShagmore · 01/11/2012 12:08

I one carved the word wine into a pumpkin, draf. Nice work on the cock.

Interesting, FDR, interesting. My boobs always seem a bit fuller post-ov, but it is supposed to be A Sign.

FrankelDeBeauvoir · 01/11/2012 14:18

BF has just sent me pictures of her little boy. I have something in my eye

He's been given the all clear but she's struggling with feeding a bit so they're letting her stay in another night.

Northey · 01/11/2012 16:45

Oh poor souls, I hope they are ok.

Bah, euro, I was hoping it was a sign for you.

Work is good about this sort of thing. Civil service, innit?

Nice tits, frank.

Last day of first week back. Made it. And off to Wales tonight.

FrankelDeBeauvoir · 02/11/2012 06:54

Well done Norf.

Blood test for me this morning.

Northey · 02/11/2012 07:18

What is that to check for, frank? Are you up to the potential diffedness point already?

FrankelDeBeauvoir · 02/11/2012 07:35

It's a progesterone check to make sure I ov'd. I'm 7 dpo today, according to my temps. I'm interested to know what the progesterone level is as I had 2 follicles ready to go. I'm assuming that if the level is very high I laid both at the same time = higher chance of twins. I won't get the results back till Tuesday though as I'm having the blood taken at my GP's and it takes 2 days to get the results.

Boobs still feel bigger than normal, not by much though. However, I did some reading and it says boob issues are caused by progesterone which is present whether you are diffed or not. If I ov'd twice then progesterone would be higher and I'd notice any changes more.

I'm under instruction that I can't test till 11th.

Nice pair of boobies frank. And wow at progesteron testing. That sounds useful. Although for me bigger boobs are most a Sign that I am in the second half of my cycle. When diffed they discovered a whole new level of bigness (particularly the nipples Shock and they still haven't returned to normal entirely) and soreness. But only after 5 weeks.

Sorry I overlooked the stabbing announcement rie. It will be okay, and maybe, just maybe, you'll win a baybee :) But it seems a bit much with your dad and all that shit, so I hope you'll hold up okay.

Enjoy the weekend in Wales, norf and massive well done for getting through the first week back. I am working from home! Sadly, I actually have a lot to do...

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 02/11/2012 08:56

Draff sorry about the scan pics, I have been tempted to ask for those from my failed pg and use them agains the gloaty ones. But as I have been very upfront about the MC people have been very considerate.

I went for dinner at recently diffed, multiple MC friend last night (it took 5MCs to get her little boy, now 1, and since it took a while, they started trying recently and now the first bean seems sticky). She had asked me what I fancied for dinner, so I said Raw Meat as a joke. So when I arrived, her adorable little boy was having dessert and there was a plate of nice carpaccio and red wine waiting for me.

So sorry about new-born photos really bringing home the broodiness shaggie. And Shock at the fluffiness of your business. Thankfully you're not in the American part of your profession.

On Halloween I was out until past trick and treating time, which is just as well, as all the sweets I had in the house were polished off on Tuesday evening.

MissWinklyParadiso · 02/11/2012 08:57

I wish I was working from home today. I have a very un-glamorous tasking this morning and am very a touch concerned for my personal safety...

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 02/11/2012 08:58

Oh frank we're cycle buddies :) I think I layed mine last Thursday. 11/11 is a good date for testing, and 16dpo. If you haven't got the droid by then, you know you're in with a chance. I won't be here to hand hold, as SB and I are away for two weeks from next Friday, but until then we can menkul together.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 02/11/2012 08:59

That sounds rubbish winkly. Have you got back up in case you are rightly concerned about safety?

maamalady · 02/11/2012 09:31

Ooo, winkly, what are you doing?

Fingers crossed for the test, Frank! It sounds interesting - I always love getting tested for stuff.
