The femmes fatales of the BESH are lying back and thinking of England

As witches and pumpkins become old hat, the BESH are scrubbing up well in salute to James Bond in general and Skyfall in particular. Put on your slinky cocktail dresses and stiletto heels, grab a Martini, and start schmoozing with well-dressed secret agents.

Insta-diffs will be shot with a quip but without a qualm. Anyone else wanting to join can dodge a few bullets post the BESHtionnaire.

I was wondering about Aries too Norf, I do hope she's ok.

FrankelDeBeauvoir · 30/10/2012 08:30

We are a godmother Grin

My best mate gave birth to Oliver at 5.30 this morning after a 16 hour labour. I can't stop Grin-ing!

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 30/10/2012 08:34

Ah wonderful news Frank! [hgrin] I luff that name actually perhaps a little too much because of a Top Gear episode when they went to Africa and that's what the hamster named his car!

euro I do believe I congratulated your fanjo directly! :)

EuroShagmore · 30/10/2012 11:11

My mistake, faif. [hwink]

Aw, Frankel that's lovely. My friend had her baby at 4.30 yesterday after a quick labour. They both look great. No name yet though!

maamalady · 30/10/2012 17:18

Hurrah for babies! Well done all respective friends.

I have a letter from the hospital - I am to report to the ultrasound clinic on Monday evening to see if they can figure out this long-droid nonsense. We shall see... 5pm is going to be hideous, though, isn't it?

Hello BESHes. Frank found me on another fred and asked how stuff was.

Stuff is terrible actually, my love. Utterly, utterly shit. I'm not gonna lie to you Father is really very very very poorly.

But thanks for asking

Northey · 30/10/2012 22:08

Crap, ariel, I'm really very very sorry to hear that. Is it dementia? It is an utter bastard of a condition and so cruel to the sufferer and their family :(

FrankelDeBeauvoir · 30/10/2012 22:19

Oh I'm really sorry Rie (((un-BESHly hugs))). We're all here whenever you want to rant/cry/scream/get pished.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 30/10/2012 22:34

It's not dementia. It's extreme depression, anxiety and now psychosis. Fucking nightmare.

SinkyGoodenplenty · 30/10/2012 22:37

Sorry rie. Sounds dreadful. I have a not-that-bad depressed mother and that can be hellish at times. I can't even imagine how tough things must be for you at the moment.

Look after yourself.

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 30/10/2012 22:38

Sorry to hear things have escalated to psychosis rie :( what a rough time for you and your family. You know where we are if you want us.

EuroShagmore · 30/10/2012 22:39

Oh that sounds awful Rie. How are you bearing up?

Draf I think a mere 45 min delay sounds ambitious.

I am flipping shattered. Off to bed. Night Besh.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 30/10/2012 22:56

Fanks hags.

How am I bearing up? Er...dunno. Up and down, you know. Sometimes ok, sometimes in such grief, guilt and it's like my heart's breaking. Then ok again.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 30/10/2012 23:10

On another note entirely, anyone else loving series two of Fresh Meat?

Northey · 30/10/2012 23:29

I'm so sorry. I don't want to imagine how awful it must be.

Are you taking care of yourself properly - eating and sleeping ok?

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 31/10/2012 06:29

We are rie but on catch up 11 is too late on a school night! :)

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 31/10/2012 06:42

Oh Rie so sorry to hear how bad your dad is. Many sympathies. No watching anything at 11pm :) too old for that! But is it worthwhile catching up?

How is work going norf?

And how's the new role faif?

I am tired it is too early, but I am off to work already...

Northey · 31/10/2012 07:29

Work is ok-ish, lem. People are being kind, but there is no-one to sort of make me take care of myself, if you see what I mean. I'm meant to be working short hours, but am so panicky about not achieving anything in them that I am actually working my normal hours anyway. On my way in now for an early meeting, for example Confused And I just feel lumpen and slow in both body and mind.

How was your own return?

maamalady · 31/10/2012 08:58

Sorry so many people are having a shitty time :(

OP posts:
EuroShagmore · 31/10/2012 10:28

Oh Rie. I feel for you. I did the grieving without bereavement when my mum was diagnosed with cancer for the second time. It was enormously tough.

I feel absolutely shattered at the moment. I'm not sure why. Tired in body and mind and just out of sorts. Meh.

MissWinklyParadiso · 31/10/2012 11:13

Maybe something in the weather euro. I feel so low at the minute. I came into work after a few days off and people were yapping - I wanted to scream. I had family staying with me and it was so noisy and busy and fun, when they left it all felt so quiet and empty. Like all I do is struggle through work then come home. No point to it at all.

Definitely agree the weather lends itself to low moods. I wonder if its a SAD type thing, what with the nights drawing in.

I confess I had a teary phone call with HWHNN last night, probably brought on in part by the arrival of my BFs little boy. Don't get me wrong, I'm over the moon for her, I know he was a hard fought win and she had to deal with her mother's death in the middle of TTC, but I am more than a small bit jealous and feeling sorry for myself in a "why not me?" sort of way.

As HWHNN keeps saying, I must learn to be more positive. I'm already assuming, without reason, that this cycle has failed and I'm only bloody 5 dpo .

Right, off for lunch. I have some of my chocolate cola caked stashed in my handbag for later Grin

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 31/10/2012 14:45

Well I would drink the gin, Bugger, but I am Off The Sauce Grin
