The femmes fatales of the BESH are lying back and thinking of England

As witches and pumpkins become old hat, the BESH are scrubbing up well in salute to James Bond in general and Skyfall in particular. Put on your slinky cocktail dresses and stiletto heels, grab a Martini, and start schmoozing with well-dressed secret agents.

Insta-diffs will be shot with a quip but without a qualm. Anyone else wanting to join can dodge a few bullets post the BESHtionnaire.

I know how you feel about being a bit careful, I was quiet about it all for a fair while but I've gone beyond caring. Most of our friends know, it's just something going on in my life and we get on with it. I also think when I first told people they were a bit 'yeah yeah drama queen, you just need more sex' but now time has gone on and they've seen how long it is still taking they know the issues are real and how shit it is.

Anyway, I'm mega crampy and have thrush on the way so no doubt the droid will arrive as expected on Saturday :(

MissSlapAndTipple · 08/11/2012 07:32

Actually, my family and our friends know. The only people who don't know are MATVs family (mum included), and my boss who I really ought to tell given the amount of time I spend wandering off to the hospital! I'm sure she thinks I'm desperatly ill or something! What do you think?

FrankelDeBeauvoir · 08/11/2012 07:58

Only my parents and 1 friend (on Facebook) know we are TTC. However, the point of a secret group, as I understand it, is that only members can see comments. As long as we're careful to keep the sechs/baybee talk to within the confines of the group I don't think anyone else will see it.

Slap, I told my boss and colleagues (only have 2) about our problems. They needed to know really as this treatment requires a lot of back and forth to the hospital. It's probably a good idea to at least tell your boss, you don't want to end up on the receiving end of a formal warning due to excessive absence,

maamalady · 08/11/2012 08:30

Morning all. I shall keep my distance on FB for the meantime, if that's alright? I'm not sure I can deal with all of you being real people just yet :)

The only people who don't know about our TTC woes are our families, pretty much all of our friends know and I've cried on several of them. I'm off to see my parents for a few days on Sunday though, so maybe I will confess while I'm there. Or bottle it again, we shall see...

EuroShagmore · 08/11/2012 17:05

What happpened with the deleted posts on the last page?

Sheesh. I leave you lot alone for one day....

It's odd, I have told loads of people IRL about our ttc woes (being careful not to mention it to work folks) but I have been careful to keep it off the Book of Face and another forum I use where a lot of people know my identity. It's probably a control thing. There are some proper tvvats on the other forum who could potentially come out with some hurtful stuff, so it's for the best.

SinkyGoodenplenty · 08/11/2012 18:11

Embarrassingly, most of my friends know about my ttc woes (except, I think, like tipps most think I'm just being melodramatic) but the families on both sides have no idea. I keep meaning to tell my mum, but it would worry her. And I think she quite enjoys having a "career driven" daughter (she gave up a successful job when she had kids in the 70's).

Norf, I feel the same about having it all aired. But a secret group will be ok, right? No one else can see my membership? (this is a real question- not trying to convince you. If people can see, I'll be out)

And faife. Was my post on your page ok? It seemed ok at the time (apart from the fact I was outing my love of knitting.. The shame), but was I outing the Besh inadvertantly?

Lordy. This is getting difficult.

Anyway. Off home now. What should I have for dinner? The boy is rudely out having fun without me.

FrankelDeBeauvoir · 08/11/2012 18:43

I have been very busy writing a business plan on my course all day so will keep it short:

Droid showed up - 1day early. Bollocks!

That is all Sad

maamalady · 08/11/2012 18:47

Aww, Frankel :( I'm due the droid imminently too - theoretically due on Sunday but I'm hoping for either Sat or Mon as I'm driving for six hours to get to my parents on Sunday. Sorting out droid in service stations is something I'd rather avoid if I can...

FrankelDeBeauvoir · 08/11/2012 18:53

It could be January at the earliest before we can start treatment again. HWHNN goes away for 10 days the week after next which, if I reacted as quickly to the drugs this time, would be bang on ov time. Problem is, if my next cycle goes over 30 days (bear in mind I've never had a natural cycle under 35 Hmm), they will not accept me after 10th December because they close over Christmas and New Year.

MissSlapAndTipple · 08/11/2012 19:11

Right I have updated the doc of documents :)

Frankel you are right I really ought to tell my boss. We had a right artard HR guy up until a few weeks ago, I would NOT have wanted him to know anything but he is now gone sort of and I have a performance review next week so I will talk to my boss then. She is amazingly understanding about everything though so I know it wont be an issue, just might feel a bit weird saying 'Im trying to get pregnant so, thanks for the promotion but I'll be disappearing as soon as I can'! Sorry to hear Droid arrived. Mine is due on Saturday - this has been THE longest TWW I've ever had, I feel miserable and bloated and just uurrrggghhhh. Horrible.

Sinky - I hope you got something suitably bad for you for dinner seeing as you've been abandoned!

Evil I know what you mean on the bottling it front - I've tried to tell MiL a few times but it's a weird conversation to bring up. 'Oh we're trying to have a baby', queue shrieking excitement from MiL only to then say 'oh but actually we've been trying since like forever and I'm probably barren so don't get too excited'. I also actually don't think she would 'get it'. Having had four herself I think she'd probably just assume that we weren't doing it right or have some weird ridiculous opinion (formed solely from reading the daily wail and daily express) of how no-one should have IVF because it's poisoning society. I dunno, really not sure I'm gonna crack that one right.

MissSlapAndTipple · 08/11/2012 19:14

Just saw what you said about HWHNN being away Frankel. That's shit :( It's a shame we can't bottle spunk and save it up if OHs are going to be away. That would be ingenious.

I asked MATV if he reckoned we might be able to train his spunk to swim up to the egg, let one get in while the others tuck in behind the egg and push it down the tube? They must be clever little buggers to find their way to the eggs so surely that's not beyond the realms of possibility?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 08/11/2012 20:02

You had posts withdrawn Shock and made friends double Shock.
I on the other hand worked, and am doing the bloody assignment, due in tomorrow, now over 3000 words, but half of it still needing (decent) references. I have become such a slack student...

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 08/11/2012 20:03

Oh and hiss boo to Frank's droid. It came with mine like a thief in the night Sorry about cycle woes, and stupid planning. Meh

SinkyGoodenplenty · 08/11/2012 20:10

I now have an image of little sperms with hard hats in a construction team..

I had crisps for tea. Bad enough? Feel a bit sick now.

Sorry about droid fsr. I'm currently cd 42. Last 2 cycles have been 76 and 82 days, bu with ewcm and promising womble cramps, really thought I might get a normalish cycle (pos drilling on clomid was managing 35 ish day cycles)

But, of course, no. And now I've got my usual lack of intrest in the sech. Which makes ghj that I only want to when I might get pregnant (he just can't understand that I seem to lose whatever hormones it is that give you sex drive when my cycle drags on.). This whole state of affairs is not helping the mission to stay sane.

HavingALittleFaithBaby · 08/11/2012 20:33

Howdy Sechsy laydees

sinks no it was fine! No-one would guess, my only ishoo is crap at knitting! :)

I never officially told work actually - went off for tests, took some as 'hospital appointments' some I booked holiday and had the full day off (ESP fanjo cam/HSG day). I was a bit worried because my job was due to change. Some colleagues knew but not bosses. But then my last two bosses weren't especially sympathetic which put me off saying...

I only mentioned TTC ishoos on FB when we finally declared my diffed state. I am happy to have Esh as friends but keep any baybee making comments to the secret group :)

MissSlapAndTipple · 08/11/2012 20:53

Yeah I quite like our little conversations in here. I wouldn't say half the things in 'RL' that I do in here! I most definitely wouldn't get away with referring to my husband as MATV lol. He really would feel used then :)

It funny though how when you open up to people a bit in RL you find support in the funniest places, someone who I thought couldn't possibly understand as she's far too young has actually been amazing, far more supportive and sensible than some of the older birds I've told.

p.s. talking of things I wont be posting about of the book of face.....I have thrush :( Haven't had it for ages, think I must be mega run down this week. Obviously I must be updiffed.....or heading for a droid of gargantuan proportions.

SinkyGoodenplenty · 08/11/2012 21:26

So now I'm imagining spunk in hard hats, and a Godzilla type droid.

I think I'm working too hard...

I also like our chats here. Fb, even the private group is just a bit too real. I'm not a fan of sharing in RL, but here it seems ok to tell you all about my inner workings (or not) and hear about, well, tipp's thrush.

Poor you btw.

MissWinklyParadiso · 09/11/2012 06:19

Oh no to the thrush :(

Husband has done sechs twice this week but ejaculated exactly zero times. Either he simply doesn't fancy me or I am crap in bed, physically he's fine.

MissSlapAndTipple · 09/11/2012 07:19

Droid arrived :( my first ever 27 day cycle. My body is just fucked :(

Winkly I'm sure you are not crap in bed, it is so very frustrating though and are actually such delicate little things.

Glad you enjoyed hearing about my thrush sinky! Ill see what other ailments come along and make sure I tell you those too :)

FrankelDeBeauvoir · 09/11/2012 07:55

Boo to thrush and droids

Winkly don't beat yourself up. I refuse to believe you are crap in bed

MissWinklyParadiso · 09/11/2012 10:28

I am also off to meet a friend's newborn. 2 days old, goodness. Is there any chance she.won't have gotten attached to the baby yet and will let me bring him home? Grin

EuroShagmore · 09/11/2012 11:19

Bloody hell, Winkly that must be frustrating!

My temp was up a bit this morning, so I think I might have laid an egg yesterday (CD14, so on schedule).

I'm making this brief as I haven't done a jot of work so far - I got something in my eye first thing this morning and as trying to cry it out and using an eyebath didn't get me anywhere, I've just been out to the optician. Whateer it was has gone, but apparently my cornea is really scratched from whatever it was. He put some anaesthetic drops in though, so at least I cannot feel it now!

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 09/11/2012 13:02

Hello hags. Back from That London.

Euro I did that once - a seven year old blew pencil sharpenings in my eye. As they do. It feels terrible but eyes heal very quickly.

As for the FB thing, don't worry. If you create a secret group, it's entirely hidden. No one else can even tell you're in it even if you link to photos from outside the group and stuff.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 09/11/2012 13:04

Oh who was it placing bets with me on how long it would take for my fertile sister to win her next maybe? She's diffed. I am almost drowning in Bitter. That's sister, sister in law and both girl cousins not to mention hordes of friends in the last year.
