The femmes fatales of the BESH are lying back and thinking of England

As witches and pumpkins become old hat, the BESH are scrubbing up well in salute to James Bond in general and Skyfall in particular. Put on your slinky cocktail dresses and stiletto heels, grab a Martini, and start schmoozing with well-dressed secret agents.

Insta-diffs will be shot with a quip but without a qualm. Anyone else wanting to join can dodge a few bullets post the BESHtionnaire.

No one else seems to be finding this as funny as I am

FrankelDeBeauvoir · 04/11/2012 13:11

Ah, a classic "first world problem" thread Grin

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 04/11/2012 13:15

I honestly thought it was a joke at first.

Have you ever strayed into Good Housekeeping? :o

FrankelDeBeauvoir · 04/11/2012 13:20

Not sure I'm brave enough

MissSlapAndTipple · 04/11/2012 13:25

ohhhh I love a good first world problem. Speaking of which- I own this dress but in cream. www.phase-eight.co.uk/fcp/product/phase-eight/Dresses/Jeannie-Lace-Dress/201822153

I am going to wear it for my big 3.0. birthday meal in 5 weeks but I want some new shoes and a new bag. What colour shall I go for? (I'm genuinely that crap with clothes). Please feel free to post linkies!

I have this morning taken the decision to throw myself into my birthday and christmas preparations like a crazy thing. I'm currently choosing a christmas theme for my HOUSE. yes, not just the living room. I'm going to do the house. I have decided to get the parents together on New Year's eve for a party so I have lots of planning to do for that and shall start stock piling food straight away. I am also going to be making a pudding for Christmas day and my mum is throwing me a family birthday party so I have to choose a christmas theme for my parents house to. This is all very complicated. I'm such a spoilt brat :) mums taking me to the Christmas market in Birmingham at the end of the month. MATV is being a grumpy git and is refusing to participate. I DON'T care.

MissSlapAndTipple · 04/11/2012 13:26

ah, I found it in cream. It is beautiful

and I bought it for less than the sale price cos someone got lipstick on it so I got another 15% off and the lipstick came straight off when I wiped it :)

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 04/11/2012 13:29

Are you......... under thirty, slapandtickle?

FrankelDeBeauvoir · 04/11/2012 13:34

Ooo, that's purdy Grin

As it's nice and neutral you could go any direction you want with shoes, accessories, etc. personally I'm a fan of killer heels (and it would fit with the Bond Girl styling) so would probably choose something like this or a slightly different version (and cheaper) here I do like purple stuff!

MissSlapAndTipple · 04/11/2012 13:41

I am officially 29 in the world of age but have been barren for such a long time I feel about 50 :/ Dont call the bouncers - I will be legal in 47 days :(

Frankel I LOVE those shoes. I have some red shoes that are a little too brash but I love them for a good night out but those are classy and colourful. I am also eyeing up these as they have some sparkle

MissSlapAndTipple · 04/11/2012 13:48

They would look A.MAZ.ING with my dress.

MissSlapAndTipple · 04/11/2012 13:50

hey and I have the brunette middleton look too.....my friend said I look like her. MATV snorted a laugh into his wine when she said that. She was drunk and has bad eyesight though. I'm MUCH more gorgeous and more curvy lol

maamalady · 04/11/2012 14:10

I can't be arsed to add 47 days to today. When's your birthday, rasp? I'm thirty on 5th December, we have nothing planned, but with any luck HOTB will do the usual thing and cook me steak and chips Grin

Sadly, HOTB's 30th is a couple of weeks before mine, and I need to crack on with present-buying...

Oh, and I'd make suggestions, but I have not a fashionable bone in my body, I'm afraid.

God, you as well draf?

Is there anyone left here who is as old or older than I am?

MissWinklyParadiso · 04/11/2012 14:15

Am 31. Don't know how these 20-somethings slipped under the radar Hmm

I have had a good lunch and a milkshake and its still raining so I feel a bit better.

maamalady · 04/11/2012 14:20

I did confess my age in the last thread! Wink

(please don't hate me, I'm only kidding)

Sailing the Bunch o'Cunts over the seven seas with a (few) cabin boy(s) for each of the BESHes. Oh no, that was the Pirate Fred. Roughly when I joined - which reminds, I am legal Rie, 33 but not quite as ancient.

I vouch for draff's age admittance. But considering her BESHtionaire we let her slip thru. However, for winkly I was unaware Hmm but then I failed to catch up properly a lot recently.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 04/11/2012 14:50

That's my excuse too.

MissSlapAndTipple · 04/11/2012 14:52

3.0. Day is 21st December. I'm looking forward to celebrations, not to turning 30 though. I kind of feel it means I will have to act grown up? I dunno. Do I have to grow up?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 04/11/2012 14:52

Yay for Arie's sensible footwear. Just got drenched on our way home from brunch and my nice boots are drying by the radiator.

Btw Christmas theme for the house Shock. Our theme will be the same as last year - get out of reach of the in-laws, preferably abroad, otherwise the lakes or something. In a cottage with a log fire.

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 04/11/2012 14:54

I was going to hide in a cottage. Can't now :(
