i agree with rubles! Decafgirl, i just reach out for mine, i do mine at 6 am ish every morning, if i wake up early ( say 4ish i do it then too and use that one as you need a full three hours sleep befor taking, when i first started i used to take when i woke up at 4 then try and go back, but very restfull, then took it again at 6 it did make a diffrence, if i wake at 4 that ones more accuret.

hope that makes sence! mines 36.7 this morning

rubles · 12/06/2006 09:43

Peachy are you OK today? What was your temp?

Trace2 - 36.7 is good. I don't suppose you know what your luteal phase length is, do you? Either way, as long as the temp stays high then that's good.

Piffle - update please!?

peachygirl · 12/06/2006 10:48

HI all
Well I had another high temp this morning 36.7. I'm trying to be realistic and thinking about the weather and the fact that if AF arrived to morrow it would mean my cycle would onlyy be one day longer thn the last but Dh is going out tonight so I might get some tests in and have a go

rubles · 12/06/2006 11:10

Oh gawd, I can't believe I am feeling nervous for you!

peachygirl · 12/06/2006 12:55

You can't imagine how I feel! I keep thinking I'll just leave it one more day, The kids are a bit bonkers today (probably the heat)and I'm analysing my reaction to them wondering as to whether it is PMT or not. Also keep checking pants!
I'm not sure which test to get I'll be in boots, any suggestions welcome I'll check again before I set off

rubles · 12/06/2006 13:18

I can't help with this because I go for the cheapest off the internet I have no experience of the shop bought ones, I'm too tight fisted.

Piffle · 12/06/2006 14:35

peachy ooooh am crossing everything for you if you test :)
My temp still up! Same as last 3 days, after that huge dip (pls pls pls pls let it be an implantation)
cd 28 10dpo
Tests did not arrive in the post this mornign so am going to wait another day...
I'm silly really as with dd I did a test 2 days aftr af due and line on Clearblue was so faint that dp refused to accept it.
I must be MAD!
I also leave my thermometer on the bedside and take it as soon as I wake. While I'm dozing IYSWIM If I am getting up to get dd, I pop it in while I'm doing it!
Anyone doing the symptom spot? I am and driving myself NUTS yet again
Have this strange strange feeling that this month is it...

trace2 · 12/06/2006 15:10

hi all, good this is exciting!!!!!!!

so whos first to test peachy,Piffle both sound really postive! get the digi test clear blue they say if you are or not, or get a early they have more to pick up hcg, the 20 ones are better, the higher are less to pick up.

rubles , have no idea really, as not always ovulating, but if ive had a rise ive never gone past, 10 and on 10 today, so will wait and see, but no symptons of pg.

OP posts:
trace2 · 12/06/2006 15:11

oops good luck peachy! and you Piffle if you test soon!

OP posts:
Piffle · 12/06/2006 15:30

I'm getting some 10's delivered from t'internet
If by any miracle they are + I'll get a chemist bought on, to be sure...
I still count no eggs though as have had + then bleed several days later - chemicals the obgyn calls them..
But still am a little optimistic!!!!!!!!

DebbsyandBibby · 12/06/2006 15:31

just wanted to drop in and say best of luck peachy and piffle xx

trace2 · 12/06/2006 15:31

Piffle , whats your longest cycle?

OP posts:
peachygirl · 12/06/2006 17:16

Hi all
I have been to Boots and bought a couple BUT I have got home and seen signs of what really do look like AF so I shall see what happens. Sorry to have caused all this excitement only to bring disappointment

trace2 · 12/06/2006 19:32

hold on in there peachy, its not over yet.

OP posts:
trace2 · 12/06/2006 19:34

and your temp would have dropped this morning, do your temp in the morning.

OP posts:
peachygirl · 12/06/2006 19:57

I will don't you worry!

rubles · 12/06/2006 22:06

I was going to say that Trace. I had some reflexology treatment tonight, and whilst having it I was thinking of all the different women on here and their situations with ttc etc when I suddenly thought 'hey, Peachy had a high temperature this morning, her AF shouldn't be here the same day', so you've taken the words out of my mouth (so to speak).

Peachy - don't apologise to us for letting us down, the only reason we are excited is because it would be great for you. I hope it isn't AF and you manage to sleep tonight.

Let me send some nice, chilled out, relaxing vibes to you all to help you forget about your AF and relax. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

decafgirl · 12/06/2006 22:18

Thanks Rubles & trace2, I think I'll be better off starting properly on CD1 (whenever that day arrives) I started mid cycle, just coz I bought the thing but I'm going to keep going with it so that it becomes second nature in the morning.

I was expecting to ovulate on Thursday gone but I had what looked like a +tive ov test on the Tues and then -tives since then and obv my temp chart is not giving much useful info at the moment. I've more or less ruled myself out for this month but there's always that little voice saying maybe....

rubles · 12/06/2006 22:22

Yes, I have ruled myself out decafgirl. I am 93% sure we haven't done it - I just have to make sure the 7% of hope doesn't grow into anything more significant. I had a conversation with dp tonight telling him this, and he was telling me to stay positive etc but I said 'what's the point? where does that get me?'

The good thing about temping is that it does give a good advance warning of AF - if your temperature dips then you know AF is coming in the next 24 hours.

Piffle · 12/06/2006 23:54

peachy I hope it tis not so in the morning honey...
Length of cycle will vary depending on which side as I only have one tube,
average is 31 days longest 34 I oftren spot 1-2 days beforehand so get advnace warning.
And ha ha my temp never drops before that...
My luteal phase is always 14 days though...

trace2 · 13/06/2006 08:16

decafgirl, i start on day 7 or 8 ish of my cycle as af mays its sky high! but if you start from scratch it will work out your cover line better, you see your cover line could be very low, i think peachy has a low cover line.

rubles, you have to be + they say you must stand in front of a mirrow and wish your pg

Piffle , whats your temp this morning?

peachy you too, hope af kept away.

min es 36.7 this morning, 5 days of 36.7 but highs of 11, mine always drops when af due.
i have really bad cramps this morning like af comming early, it did last monthg on day 23, and on day 22 today, so will wait if temps drops in next few days.

good luck to all

OP posts:
Piffle · 13/06/2006 08:21

temp up slightly trace
Hope yours continue.
Fertility software puts af due on Thrusday so will see - should spot today or tomorrow if its not to be this month.
It i so hard to hope when you've done this every month for so bloody long
GRRR

Piffle · 13/06/2006 08:29

Interesting the psychology Trace, this month I told my body to stop fart arsing around and just get on with it...
Not sure if the pep talk worked but dp rung me last week when away to say he had a dream I was expecting!

trace2 · 13/06/2006 08:33
