Res I never thought of Malta before. Is that near the canaries?

Report
Lolcbcblemonlime · 03/10/2012 22:51

Mm I went to Malta a few years ago and it was not my favourite place. How about the algarve? It's absolutely lovely!
I'm doing exactly the same! Booking a 3/4 night break in Iceland in November to see the northen lights and also looking at Cuba or somewhere around there for jan!!!

Oooh lol I've been to Iceland twice and it's hands down the most beautiful place I've ever been, you'll love it! Make sure you visit the Blue Lagoon, Great Geysir and Gullfoss!

weechops I'll pm you shortly :)

Ooh, that's good, Kitten. Iceland is our honeymoon destination. A week on Monday. :-)

Oooh im jealous. Would love to get away. Went to sharm a couple of years ago - it was horrible. Tenerife last year was lovely. I dont think you can go wrong with the Canary Islands. My friend's just come back from Ibiza with their 18m old and weather was lovely, not too hot.

Oooohhhh Cuba [daydreaming emoticon]

A group of us went to Iceland a few years ago. Lovely, but strange place, it was too bloody cloudy to see the northern lights - gutted!!! It was dark nearly all day, which is hard to get your head round, (probably great for a honeymoon!!) but the lagoon is gorgeous and reykjavik is quite lively. Not long to go now nic Will be getting out my virtual hat again.

Well no BFP here Sad. Had tiny bit of spotting on Monday morning then nothing. Stupidly got my hopes up thinking it was implantation bleeding, as nothing at all til tuesday night when AF got me. Bollocks Bollocks Bollocks. Tried to be positive that my LP had been 16 days long rather than 18. And I had a 6 week cycle all by myself which is good news. I was all, Bah who needs clomid to ovulate. But its hard to be positive when your nearly 2 years down the line with sweet FA to show for it. CD2 and counting....

Sorry to see you back littlemiss. X

Sorry about af Ribs. Good news about cycle & lp though.

I am on cd13 and still haven't dtd yet [shame] it has to be tonight as I am away all weekend so if we don't dtd tonight the next time we can is Sunday night.
I am shattered and so not in the mood.

Oh kNic exciting! Wish I could get married again sometimes (same DH, though!). Think I'd put in a bit more effort with the dress, hair, decor etc. I left a lot of it to my mum and didn't even have my hair done!
Aah, ribs you sound good all things considered. Positive spin - CD2 could be the day after the day from which your pregnancy is dated.
Go winkle. We were doing really well until I got the +ve OPK on Tuesday then we only managed that day but missed the next day (well, we had a row so it was deliberately missed by DH who flounced off to bed and still isn't speaking to me!) so now I'm worried that the earlier efforts were in vain as the day after the smiley was probably OV day and the best to DTD. Hey ho.

My new favourite question is what would you have done differently on your wedding day, you gave me your answers without me even asking res!

You are doing well winkle, where you getting the energy from?!

Report
kNickerbockerGloryCherry · 04/10/2012 20:58

I didn't DTD on smiley day either, resipsa...day before and day after though. It's been a shagging marathon this cycle, and a certain someone has decided it needs to continue, even though it won't assist baby-making! Rod for my own back.

We are both really excited about the wedding. Fx it all goes to plan on the day. :-)

ribs - i didn't recognise you with that chilled monkey on your shoulder Wink so sorry AF got you, we can be cycle buddies now tho since my strange herbal tablets made AF arrive y'day. cd2 and counting, we can help each other stay positive, maybe this will be a good cycle for us both, and we'll get bfps and problem free pregnancies to follow Brew

Dulcet - I got married 3 years ago and I absolutely loved the whole lead up, lovely hen party, brilliant day, amazing honeymoon. I might have gotten my nails done instead of going a pretty amateur job on them the night before after a few shandies at home with my mum and sis, i might do something slightly different with my hair, a slightly diff cake and i wasn't crazy about our official wedding photos (some lovely ones but a lot of very stiff posed ones too and not really enough of all the other people at the wedding) but all very minor things in the grand scheme of things. I've been to 4 weddings this year and going to another one in november - i'm still wedding crazy, they're kind of all the same but all different too and it's such a lovely day for the couple (sob, sob). What would you have done differently? Good luck with yours nic!

Hi Littlemiss!

Thank you. I've already asked the photographer to do more relaxed shots and focus on the guests and atmosphere, so hopefully that works out.

I've also decided to pay to have my nails done, so that's another tick!

I'm just so bloody excited now...only one more weekend as a single lady. :-)

I wouldn't have had a horrible fringe cut in a few days before my wedding if I could do it again Sad Grin

Luckily we had a registry office first followed by our own non legal ceremony the week after. I have a good photo from the registry office before my hair got butchered!

Don't go for a different haircut

Nic, although the relaxed shots are nice, they aren?t the ones that you are going to put in frames around the house. so I would say get loads of you and hub together ? it's the only time you'll be all dressed up, etc, and looking your best!

Make sure they don't throw away your £600 wedding cake at the end of the night :( Ask the caterers to serve the cake on the tables so it gets eaten or to save you a layer to take home. I'm still gutted about my wedding cake :(

oh and also, you will have loads of people wanting to take your picture on the day but make sure you look at the official wedding photographer so your eyes are looking straight ahead in the official pics and not to the side as your mates are taking pics!

We will definitely have photos together...it won't be loads though as I can't be doing with all the faffing. I'll make sure we have options though :-) Doubt we would put more than one up in the flat as neither of us likes looking at ourselves much!

Great tip re looking at photographer!!

I want the photographer's presence to be unobtrusive as much as possible though.

Oh, and my friend is making my cake and it is being used as the buffet dessert, so hopefully it will mostly get eaten!

It is actually cakes, not cake as we have square cakes which cut into 4.
