(sorry I know that's awful but seriously, can you think of anything else that rhymes with "eleven"?!)

Ladies, leave your OPKs at the door, and settle in for part 11 of JSing!

Fred rules;

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share Wine and [tea] with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.
Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.
Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce Envy in other posters).
Viroid = This is you, dear poster. The reason for this is a closely guarded secret, known only to....er....well, nobody as far as we can tell!
POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit).
Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.
Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

The link to Part 10 is here.

The link to the latest grads thread is here.

So don those shag capes, we have standards to maintain - Part 10 saw an amazing 9 BFPs, including one set of twins! So - what are you still doing here? GET SHAGGING!!

:o

Yay hooya whoop whoop whoop

Rockchick1984 · 10/09/2012 09:31

Whoop whoop Hooya congratulations!!!! That's fantastic news, although I'm very jealous!!!

DH is happy to go along with the sex every day and has asked if we can do it in the mornings before work too so think that's the plan here.

Lexilicious · 10/09/2012 09:49

Congratulations Hooya!

I am going to start multivitamins today - I think someone on this thread mentioned taking folic acid etc well before conception. And where do you get this special lube from?

AndieMatrix · 10/09/2012 10:12

Boots stock conceive plus.

Rockchick1984 · 10/09/2012 10:22

Lexi I got seven seas trying for a baby multivitamins, they have all the folic acid etc in there and are suitable for early pregnancy too. They were a fair bit cheaper than pregnacare (which I took throughout my last pregnancy) but exactly the same! Tesco had them on 3 for 2. Apparently you can also alternate multivitamins with just plain folic acid which is only about £1 for a months supply so makes it even cheaper!

Lexilicious · 10/09/2012 10:51

Last time I used pregnacare with omega 3 I think. But only after I got a +ve because we weren't actually trying (oops! :) ) Definitely going to look out for a 3-for-2!! Will pop into Tesco this evening and Boots possibly too.

We have been rebuilding/redecorating in our house, have been sleeping on a less than perfectly comfortable sofabed in the spare room with DS in the corner... fron Wednesday we can put DS in his own room and this Friday we get our lovely lovely new bed delivered from Warren Evans - will be christening it for sure!!

Lexilicious · 10/09/2012 13:34

Holy Ovulations, Batman! Have you seen how much that lube costs?!?! Shock

£81.19 per 100ML for one with the applicator thingies. Granted, with the Boots 3 for 2 offer that could be more like £54/100ml, but seriously, caviar costs less than that!!

I have also identified that if you can be arsed to take two/three types of vits rather than one handy combination, excellent savings are there to be made. Tesco own-brand folic acid is only £1 for 60, add that to ordinary multivits for way less than the pregnancy branded ones. (Yes, I also use a lot second hand clothes and even (some) toys for DS - total cheapo!)

notsoold · 10/09/2012 13:51

Hoooyaa....so happy for you! Well done!

Pineapple80 · 10/09/2012 15:59

Big congrats Hooya! I hope everyone is well and fingers crossed more BFPs are on the way. DH and I have been away on holidays and just got back today. So nice to have a break. Lots of JSing during a holiday is quite fun Wink. How is everyone?

Pineapple80 · 10/09/2012 16:01

Lexi, are you talking about ConcievePlus? I think I got the 75ml tube for about £15, and even that is pricey....

AWomanCalledHorse · 10/09/2012 16:06

Congrats Hooya! So happy for you!! Grin

swimmingnotdrowning · 10/09/2012 16:35

hooray for hooya!

fx for silly spotting to stop

Conceive plus goes quite a long way - a tube should last a lot longer than normal lube (it's quite runny so use sparingly unless you want to sleep in a very wet patch)

And, yes, specialist multivits are astronomically expensive. I guess they are relying on your guilt/fear of letting down a child to sell them (preparing you for parenthood??)

Lolcbcblemonlime · 10/09/2012 18:55

I've been taking wilkinson ones which are just over 2 quid and are also on 3 for 2. I took pregnacare but it made me spot so not liked it.
Just watch out for normal ones as we are not supposed to take vitamin A as it can increase risk of mc (who knows?!)
I am also taking epo. Only about 2 quid too and u only take till ov (if u are lucky enough to know when that happens!)
Concieve plus does go a long way. I found it worth it so far. DH thinks I'm extra horny Grin

FrustratedSycamorePants · 10/09/2012 20:33

I take a mix of either asda folic acid, or a preconception multi vit with folic, depending on where I am physically that it as multi vit are in my car as don't always remember to take folic before work Grin

How ya doing lolcbcb? had make-up/punishment dtd yet?

Lolcbcblemonlime · 10/09/2012 21:27

Nah no shag for me. DH out till later so we won't make up till tomorrow now. Then I'm off on hols wed. So we're done for the month. Let's hope vits/epo/ conceive plus/ 3 shags = lolit Smile

I've been taking just calcium and folic acid (I have to take calcium because dairy gives me migraines) should I be taking more then?

Hooya · 10/09/2012 23:05

Hi everyone and thanks for all the congrats!

I am sticking around here if you don't mind, have been spotting for several days so very little hope that this will go the distance. Off to see the docs this morning...

Seems like plenty of JSing going on around here!

Lexi lol at Holy Ovulations, Batman!

Horse sorry about ERTD but good luck for shagfest. Having a minibreak sounds ideal.

Rockchick your DP sounds like mine! His first comment on my BFP was "my sperm works!" Grin

Right better get ready for docs, here's hoping but not expecting good news.

AndieMatrix · 11/09/2012 07:56

Suffolk Yeah, I read that, and B vits except for B6 should be avoided too.
LadyJ I think Zinc, VitC, VitE, Iron and B6 are the useful ones.
Hooya Let us know how it goes. Fx for you.

I had a really vivid dream about going for a baby scan last night, the kind where you wake up confused.

Lexilicious · 11/09/2012 09:52

Quite right re the Vit A - as I stood there in Tesco baffled at the array of choice, read the backs of the bottles comparing generic with branded, realised that the preg vits didn't have Vit A and had a different balance of the Bs too. However I am in warm-up mode at the moment so can take the standard multivits with iron that I already have somewhere in the chaos and the folic acid I bought yesterday to build up pre-conception reserves. Once we start really TTC I will start avoiding Vit A etc.

I didn't actually twig that I was pregnant the first time until I was at a party and complaining that my boobs really hurt, and my friend said well could you be pregnant (in front of everyone) and I went ohhhhh, riggghhht... and finished my glass of wine in denial. Was only 4-5 weeks or something though, and then got really confused a week later when I got round to POAS, and only got one line. What happened was the HCG level was so high that it made the horizontal 'control' line fade to nearly nothing, so it looked like just one vertical line instead of a '+'.

Anyway, I'm thinking positive sticking vibes for Hooya and anyone else with +ves however faint!!

Hooya · 11/09/2012 09:53

Saw docs and had a scan, they don't really know yet but say its 50:50 chance. Bit more bleeding so I think it's very very unlikely it stays. It's just a dot on a scan right now which makes me feel better - it's not a baby, just some cells. For anyone worrying (I was quite scared of MC before I started) it's really ok (so far) and it is nice to have proof the JSing has worked.

No shagging though until we find out what's going on! Hope you don't mind my hanging about even though I'm not actually JSing!

Pineapple80 · 11/09/2012 10:16

Oh Hooya, fingers crossed for you. It must be tough waiting.

AWomanCalledHorse · 11/09/2012 10:23

Fingers crossed for a a sticky Hooya.
Hope you & Mr.Hooya continue to be ok about it. x

Having an odd ertd, normally I need perscription drugs to clot the bleeding, just noticed I've run out but I'm feeling ok (usually in bed around now in agony)...so hopefully this is 'Oooh, your periods always get better after having a baby' but really late!!

33PinkLadyApple · 11/09/2012 13:27

Oh fx hooya

I'm having spotting / cramping etc. TMI - Didn't have any pantypads so had to stick a Mouse in so I don't know how much there is (implant or ERTD?) until I get to the shop and buy pads. Think I am probably out this month though. :( felt sick and grouchy yesterday, does that mean anything

Natara · 11/09/2012 14:06

Hello!

May I join this thread?? It seems to suit me!

I took my implant out 10 days ago and my grand plan is to carry on having rampant sex until I'm unduffed! (and then carry on having slightly less rampant sex?)

I've explored a few other threads and was exceedingly baffled by what they were talking about?? This will be my first bub and I sort of just thought you shagged until you missed a period?

Am I missing something?? xxx
