Just Shagging - The lazy TTCers heaven, this is Shaggers Corner, Part 11

Kittenkatzen · 31/08/2012 11:32

(sorry I know that's awful but seriously, can you think of anything else that rhymes with "eleven"?!)

Ladies, leave your OPKs at the door, and settle in for part 11 of JSing!

Fred rules;

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share Wine and [tea] with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.
Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.
Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce Envy in other posters).
Viroid = This is you, dear poster. The reason for this is a closely guarded secret, known only to....er....well, nobody as far as we can tell!
POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit).
Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.
Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

The link to Part 10 is here.

The link to the latest grads thread is here.

So don those shag capes, we have standards to maintain - Part 10 saw an amazing 9 BFPs, including one set of twins! So - what are you still doing here? GET SHAGGING!!

:o

notso Shock now there's an image I didn't need in my head before breakfast! Grin

Hi ceilidh, welcome

frog I came off the pill at the start of may (dropped it mid-pack in my excitement to get started!), had a normal withdrawal bleed followed by a textbook 28 day cycle. Fx the same will happen for you, but to cover your bases I think you'll just need to play it safe and JS as much as possible until your first proper ertd shows up (or not, hopefully!)

red thanks for that, it's reassuring to hear your doctor isn't worried Smile how long have you been TTC? Must be nice to officially be given the 6 month mark to aim for too. My cycles started out post pill around the 28 day mark but seem to be dropping a day or two each month at the moment - last month was 24 days. We'll see what this month brings but that's why I started with the opks, I'm hoping I can catch evidence of ov and find out if it's my lp that's shortening or not (hopefully not obv!)

Congrats swimming hoping lots of us will be joining you on the grads thread soon Smile And welcome to ceilidh

ERTD has buggered off for me as well so back to JSing with a vengeance. DH is very pleased about this and has suggested some lunchtime lovin....

We aim to DTD pretty much every day - not at all because of the TTC thing, just cos we are both horny as! Were a few days we couldn't last month because of the house move and resultant total knackerdness, but hoping that this is our month for the JSing giving a good result. I did have a chat with him whilst we were away though, where I insisted that at least once a day he just gets on with setting the swimmers forth as quick as he likes. (He has a habit of trying to give me the big O as many times as he can before he let's it go Blush) which is great for me but no so great when he ends up retaining the swimmers for use later on!

So, the plan for this month is a morning quickie then pleasure at our leisure later in the day Grin

livismum · 24/10/2012 13:33

Hey ladies I've been stalking lurking but not posting much, partly as not been JSing enough, been a busy month of hen do's and weddings!
Anyways, ERTD was due sun/mon did test mon, BFN, not too surprised as only really had 1 JSing moment around the right time, but still no show of the witch this morning so did the other test (2pk for £1 Asda!)

Only a bloody BFP!!!!!!! Quite a decent line too no squinting required!

Am in complete shock, trying to keep laid back about it (after mmc in June) haven't told DH yet, all a bit hectic this morning, might keep to myself and tell him on fri as we are having a family wkend away. So you guys are the first to know! Will continue to lurk if u don't mind, not ready for grads thread yet, oh and of anyone fancies trying it, the JS moment I think we conceived was "no kissing" as I had a mouth ulcer! Made things a bit intense! Wink

OhGood · 24/10/2012 13:36

Congrats livismum - great news. Really pleased for you.

Grannyapple · 24/10/2012 14:09

Afternoon ladies....not been on much...work has been absolutely manic so lots of late nights & some w/e working (boo!). Thankfully a lot if the busy time coincided with the witch arriving so meant I could focus pretty much on getting the work done & not much else.

(whispers) I've decided to try opk's this month to see exactly when I'm ovulating...on cd9 at the mo but hoping me amazon delivers them tomorrow so I can at least pee on something! Oh & sorry if tmi but I seem to have a bit of discharge (not ewcm, & not theysh like I don't think), but I seem to recall that it changes after ovulation from ewcm to something else...hoping I've not ov'd already?!

Oh huge congrats on the BFP's....hoping the luck rubs off on the rest of us soon!

AWomanCalledHorse · 24/10/2012 14:15

livismum, I am soo pleased for you! Congratulations & wishing you a boring, safe & uneventful pregnancy. x

Granny, it's 'creamy' discharge apparently before ewcm & then dry after ov.
Hope the evil opk's work out for you...if not you need to have a funny story to top redshoes!

Congrats to swimming too, these bfp's are like buses!

Good luck to anyone in the 2ww!

countrybumpkin2 · 24/10/2012 14:29

Oo lots of BFPs congrats everyone!

frog My dh was very reluctant at first to admit we were going to be ttc and was adamant we would never dtd just because it was the right day. He freaked out when I bought folic acid. I just kept on going as normal, bought the folic acid, started talking about how exciting it would be to have a child etc and he has totally come round. We are now ttc and he is loving it! Although I think our sex life must have gone down hill recently as we dtd twice at the weekend and haven't since! He hasn't even pestered for it! Twice and then he is tired! FFS, we are never going to get anywhere at this rate! Apologies probably tmi!

OhGood · 24/10/2012 14:30

pineapple and other opk users [hblush] what did you use? think I might give it a go.

notsoold · 24/10/2012 14:38

Livismum congratulations!!!! Absolutely brilliant!!! all that and no kissing....wow!!! :)

Grannyapple · 24/10/2012 14:57

I'm going to try clearblue...tho will be jumping on dh tonight after the gym, based on what horse said Grin

Btw horse how are you feeling?

Hooya · 24/10/2012 15:28

Wow gone for a couple of days and I've missed LOADS!

Welcome Ceilidh and happy shagging!

Huuuuge congrats livismum and swimming brilliant!

Love frolic acid, makes it much more fun Grin

Re initiating, I'm Blush now as I've been on heat since off the pill - poor DP has had nowhere to hide! He prob wishes I would lay off a bit! I think it imp to remember that our DPs and DHs don't see wobbly bits, they just see naked ladies who are up for it Grin and that makes them happy!

I thought ERTD had started today then it just became spotting, who knows what's going on. DP is certain I am upduffed again based on no science whatsoever...

frogchops · 24/10/2012 17:15

Based on no science whatsoever, hehee I like that!

Livismum, that is amazing, congrats!! I actually gasped when I read that as I thought u were just reporting bfn's!! Good to know that ud only really dtd once too....makes us rubbish js'ers feel better!!

Hooya....I duno what's wrong with me, I came off ertd (well, a withdrawal bleed) last night and now I'm like, come on, where r u, come home, lets get on with it!!! Of course all my previous posts indicate that I won't actually initiate this, lol......but I'm thinking it, ....he just needs to learn to mind read.
Also, because we only really dtd three ish times a month usually, I need to arrange these well.

Right now tho, I'm planning tea out with a friend....I'm sure shell tell me to pull myself together and get some balls, quite literally!

AWomanCalledHorse · 24/10/2012 17:33

Granny, it's pg symptom city in my body atm, hurrah!
I've been weeing & eatings loads, have had a crappy headache the last few days & am being a right ratty cow. [hgrin]
Seeing the Dr tomorrow for a pre-booking in appointment so hopefully she'll take blood & wee to prove I'm still pregnant & not just having a moment.

Frolic acid! Grin

Hooya, I would bloody love for your DH to be right, the smug look on his face (for both super sperm & being right) would be amazing.

frog, hope the chat & tea with a friend helps!

Late to Ceilidh, enjoy it here! These ladies are ginger lovely & JS works!

MrsBri · 24/10/2012 17:57

Woman, for my pre-booking appt the nurse just asked if I'd tested. I said yes, on 3 different days, and she said that I must be pregnant and referred me. No wee or blood involved.

I better had be up duffed still!

And congrats for BFPs and fx to everyone else.

Bearface · 24/10/2012 18:07

Hello Ceilidh!

Congrats Livismum!

I am just seeing through ERTD and it's hurting alright (physically, I mean). Flippin' paracetemol isn't even touching the pain at the mo. Go away, nasty witch!!!!

Well done to all you upduffers! [hsmile]

Kittenkatzen · 24/10/2012 18:39

Wow congrats livismum Grin there must be something in the water now can I have some please brilliant!

bear I hereby prescribe you Wine for the nasty witch pain (save the paracetamol for the morning!)

OP posts:
Bearface · 24/10/2012 18:46

Thanks Dr. Kitten! You're the best doctor ever!

Redshoes56 · 24/10/2012 21:16

Congrats, livismum!

I will be drinking down my frolic acid with Wine tonight as well, Dr Kitten - just because. Is that a good enough reason for a prescription?

Redshoes56 · 24/10/2012 21:19

granny - I've been using the Clearblue Easy Digital tests with the smiley face. No ovulation coming, no smiley. I thought that was better than maddening myself with the sticks where you have to compare blue lines. I was never so glad to see a digital emoticon in all my life. They are expensive, $54 here in the US at local pharmacy for a 20-day supply, but cheaper through Amazon.

frogchops · 24/10/2012 21:36

Hehee this frolic acid has really caught on!
Had a lovely night with my friend, she knows how to cheer me up, and well, shake me and make me get a grip to be honest!
She has the opinion that DP is pretty much just scared to death and is finding all of this a bit of a whirlwind. She shouted at me for having ov calculators, and for tracking this, that and the other and just told me to shag. Lol.....not at specific times to give him reason to have issue with me only wanti one thing, but to just shag!!! So there I go, I'm gonna do just that. {huffs, folds arms dramatically and shrugs shoulders like a spoilt child}

Purplemonster · 24/10/2012 21:53

Tell me, how does one 'just shag' when ones partner can't be arsed? Any advice oh wise and more experienced jsers?

AndieMatrix · 24/10/2012 23:19

Purple Explain to him The bragging rights he will gain in proving that his swimmers do their job. Maybe?

livis Congrats! Massively happy for and just as jealous of all the BFPs at the mo.

Grannyapple · 25/10/2012 08:35

red I think that's what I ordered from amazon...was £24 there vs £33 in the s'market!

Oh well will see how it goes with using them then...jumped on dh last night, just in case of course. I was kinda lying on the bed in my best "I'm up for it" sleep wear (you get the gist of it Smile) waiting for him to come upstairs to bed...when he got upstairs he was a bit like " have I missed something?!" but was more than glad afterwards, lol! He cracks me up...he wants another baby more than I do but I think he forgets that you actually need to dtd fairly frequently to get the BFP!!

If I get the smiley faces on the opk's I'll just surreptitiously have my way with him without him realising that it's that day/week that we need to Wink.

Have a good day all...half day for me then I'm off for a whole week...woo hoo!

frogchops · 25/10/2012 09:31

Granny, I have realised that this is the best plan....choose the days carefully without causing suspicion!!....esp if like me, DP is already suspicious that I'm only after one thing. However, my 'pouncing on' needs work :-/ I almost didn't want to Dtd last night cos I was aware that it not the best of dates to be Dtd and I didn't want to waste it!!! That's sad isn't it?!?

Grannyapple · 25/10/2012 09:40

Tbh I think my dh suspects I'm only after one thing, but he's just happy to be getting it again more frequently (the joys of having a toddler!). He did say the other week that he felt like he had a new lease of life since we've been dtd more ...but this statement came from him after he fell asleep in the couch at 9pm, lol!
