(sorry I know that's awful but seriously, can you think of anything else that rhymes with "eleven"?!)

Ladies, leave your OPKs at the door, and settle in for part 11 of JSing!

Fred rules;

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share Wine and [tea] with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.
Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.
Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce Envy in other posters).
Viroid = This is you, dear poster. The reason for this is a closely guarded secret, known only to....er....well, nobody as far as we can tell!
POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit).
Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.
Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

The link to Part 10 is here.

The link to the latest grads thread is here.

So don those shag capes, we have standards to maintain - Part 10 saw an amazing 9 BFPs, including one set of twins! So - what are you still doing here? GET SHAGGING!!

:o

Morning all!

bear & horse: I'm getting impatient and want to test now! But DH is so sensible (and most of the time right which is sometimes annoying!) that I figure waiting wont hurt. Plus it will be nice to find out on the weekend where we will be home and not in any rush etc. So whatever the outcome I can either cry or be joyful at home! Keep telling myself that anyway Grin.

bear glad you're feeling the ginger love Smile. Agree with everyone else the comment was quite insensitive Angry. Bit just ignore it though, not worth your energy! Just save that for JSing!! Grin

Hope everyone has a good day! Bring on the bloody weekend!!!

OhGood · 18/10/2012 12:16

boy ha ha ha ha so funny poor DH and how sweet to offer tea

OhGood · 18/10/2012 12:18

PS just to say all those waiting to test, the suspense is bloody killing me here. Never thought I would get so tenterhooks-y about someone else's possibility of BFP...

swimmingnotdrowning · 18/10/2012 12:59

Welcome AmI!

Chuckling at the lewd cowboy impression!

And pineapple I do think you are right to wait until the weekend - either way you'll have an emotional reaction to that pee sodden stick (ttc is so glam) and much better to have that at home, together.

Kittenkatzen · 18/10/2012 14:05

Hey shaggers! Hi AmI, welcome :)

boy arf at your DH "do you want a cup of tea then" haha!

Blimey bear BFP aside, a 10k hill race is not something I'd be planning for ertd weekend no matter how much bread i'd eaten.....are you slightly mad?! :o

DH watched an episode of OBEM with me last night....it was the one with the lady who had been knocked over as a child and left with disabilities. I was a snivelling wreck by the end and even DH had a little tear in his eye the big soppy sod!

Woah! Too much to catch up on.lol
Ginger ism is a funny old thing. As the Tim Minchin song goes "Only a ginger can call another ginger ginger" :-) My fella's ginger-ish and his cousin has amazing orange hair, I'm of Irish heritage and fair so a red haired baby is likely for us. I love red hair on girls, it's beautiful so I'd be chuffed to get a little girly ginge. :-)
Welcome AmI
Glad everyone's having/had nice holidays and there's some BFPs and possible BFPs popping up. All good.
Hooya You sound insatiable. Your poor man.lol
My DP is due back for the weekend tomorrow and boy is he gonna get it! Haha.
OBEM always makes me cry (when I'm not laughing at the midwives' staff room conversations) but in a "I want another one....nowwwww" way. Lots of friends having babies right now and Facebook fills me with envy straight away!

Bearface · 18/10/2012 19:05

Pineapple - my DH is the same - very sensible. He asked me not to 'go sneaking off to do tests on my own'! I only did the one So now I am waiting for the weekend too, although Friday is technically the weekend, right? Wink

Kitten - yes, I am starting to doubt my own sanity. But I entered before thinking to work out when ERTD would be due - won't make that mistake again!

Andie - here's to ginger babies! And I'm staying well away from FB from now on in order to control Envy Everyone I know seems to be pregnant or giving birth. Or at least everyone in a relationship anyway. Hopefully it will be our turns next! Grin

Pineapple80 · 18/10/2012 20:00

bear - I guess Friday can count! Why not?! We just had a chat about it again and Saturday is test day! I think I can handle that. And don't worry, everyone we know is pregnant or a parent now. In like the last one out of the entire human species...ok exaggeration but it sure feels that way doesn't it? Not long ago my SIL announced she was upduffed! I'm really happy though but u know, you just want one of your own too. And also about 5 other friends, it's pretty crazy but let's hope the time comes very soon for us JSers Grin.

What has everyone else been up to? Is t too early to start chatting about weekend plans? We are meeting friends for a meal, other than that relaxing...Smile

Bearface · 18/10/2012 20:24

Well, good luck Pineapple. I've got everything crossed for you.

Pineapple80 · 18/10/2012 20:58

Smile Thank you and I have everything crossed for you too!

wavesandsmiles · 19/10/2012 09:25

Oh...so exciting that people are testing this weekend. fx for BFPs!!! I'm pretty sure now that I am on a bit of a WTF cycle, but continuing the JSing action regardless.

Super lots on this weekend for us - we are seriously making the most of our weekend away. Royal Festival Hall then the Comedy Store for us this evening (which feels a bit unreal as I am at work at the moment, but leaving at 12.30 to catch our flight). Then meeting sis for coffee tomorrow before a lovely lunch out and Brixton in the evening. Must admit, that the weekend away (and need to find clothes and shoes to wear) really was the kick I needed to almost finish unpacking my clothes post house move Smile

Rockchick1984 · 19/10/2012 09:50

Bear have you tested yet?

Good luck for tomorrow Pineapple!

How long have people here been trying? We are back to the JSing but unfortunately not in time for when I think I ovulate, so I know I'm out for this cycle but am feeling loads better now (they still don't know what was wrong, but have stopped bothering to run tests as I'm feeling ok again Hmm ) so another week or so until ERTD then we can get back to SWI rather than just because we feel like it!

DH doesn't like me actively talking about TTC (I think he feels under too much pressure to perform) so I cunningly suggested that we have a month where we aim for 30 days of orgasm Grin - doesn't have to be full-on shagging every night (although I'll make sure it is when I think it's the right days) but I suggested we do it to see if we still can despite being parents :) :) :)

countrybumpkin2 · 19/10/2012 09:55

Good luck to everyone testing this weekend! So excited for you all...

Me and DH dtd for the first time last night (not the first time ever, the first time baby making).

I know its v unlikely to happen on first shot but excited all the same! Now just looking forward to our anniversary and holiday later this month.

Bearface · 19/10/2012 11:03

Ladies, I think ERTD is coming so a test may not be necessary. Was wide awake in the middle of the night last night for about half an hour, which is so unlike me, and felt very sick, so was hopeful last night, but this morning it seems more like ERTD. Sad

I know what you mean Rockchick - I think DH feels the pressure. He was talking about going to get himself tested to find out what might be wrong with him - had to swiftly remind him that it could just as easily be me, or it just wasn't the right time yet. I've learnt so much about TTC since coming on here and you just don't ever find this stuff out at school, so I think unless they work in this area somehow, lots of men have no idea how it all works. I've been explaining to DH as I've found things out myself, so hopefully he will not feel so much like it is just down to him.

Good luck everyone this weekend with whatever JSing, POASing or other activities you are up to!

Hooya · 19/10/2012 13:33

Evening shaggers! It's Friiiiiday!

Welcome AmI and happy shagging!

Boy that's hilarious, DP does that kind of thing, love the irony of how unsexy the cowboy dance is!

Rock we were at it for 2 months before mc so not long at all!

Country it's extra nice the first time you're trying isn't it - I felt a bit emotional Blush

Fx for the testers and 2wwers! I am sworn to not test at all now so will be enjoying the excitement vicariously through you!

Crazy week of 14-hour days at work finally resulted in our first day off JSing yesterday after 7 days in a row - I am exhausted! Looking forward to a relaxing weekend of JSing and not getting up at 6am Smile

Kittenkatzen · 19/10/2012 16:51

Happy weekend shaggers, fx for everyone testing, will be checking back in for the results! bear my fingers are still crossed for you - it's not over till the ertd arrives :o

True, kitten, but I just did a test and got a BFN. Just waiting now for ERTD. Happy weekend to you all! Cheers! Wine

OhGood · 19/10/2012 18:38

((kitten)) Wine Wine and -it's the weekend - Wine

AWomanCalledHorse · 19/10/2012 19:03

Hooya, I hope your DH is looking forward to JS all weekend, you'll have to put the cone of shame on him if you continue at this rate..you'll break him!

bumpkin, hope you had a lovely shag! and have many great ones this weekend.

Bear, sorry for your bfn Wine

Feeling knackered now, and craving 'proper' coke (the chemical drink, not the drug).

Bearface · 19/10/2012 19:08

Topic: Crying over BFN - does anyone else do it?

TBH this evening is the first time I have ever cried over TTC or a BFN, but I felt so miserable and so disappointed that I couldn't help myself. We've 'not been careful' for 14 months now, but actively seeking out the proper windows for 2 months, so I guess I'm not that far down the line really.

I really like coming on here and chatting because it makes me feel positive and I don't feel alone anymore, and I really do appreciate the support, but I just wondered if anyone else has cried over a BFN? Am I being silly?

Still really glad it's the weekend though. Smile

Bearface · 19/10/2012 19:18

BTW - feeling lots better now for a little cry.

AWomanCalledHorse · 19/10/2012 19:31

((hugs)) bear, we were 'not trying but not trying to not get up duffed' for just under a year before I got a bfp with DS.
It was a proper shock to get a bfp then as I didn't expect it after so long.

Since we've been ttc this time, there have been 3 months I was sure I was pg based on my symptoms, two times I was wrong & for days after ertd showed up both times I was pissed off (for not getting a bfp, and letting myself believe I 'knew' I was pg)...the third time was this month.
If I was wrong this month we were going to stop trying this year, then next year go all temping & charts & other stuff.

So I don't think you're being silly & it's ok to cry, look into all the possible things you can do to boost fertility (I've goggled everything, but always came back to JS), get annoyed when you see a Jeremy Kyle-esque family on child 862 or just be annoyed at your body for not bothering to get upduffed this month!

Hope your body gets the memo soon x

OhGood · 19/10/2012 19:34

Bear, I have also had a good sobbing session or two after a BFN. It's hard. It WILL happen for you. Keep JS.

Bearface · 19/10/2012 19:38

Thanks Horse and OhGood. I do feel better now. ((Hugs)) for us all, eh? x

Pineapple80 · 19/10/2012 20:12

Big hugs to you bear Sad. It really sucks...I really hope next month is the one for you.
