(sorry I know that's awful but seriously, can you think of anything else that rhymes with "eleven"?!)

Ladies, leave your OPKs at the door, and settle in for part 11 of JSing!

Fred rules;

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share Wine and [tea] with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.
Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.
Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce Envy in other posters).
Viroid = This is you, dear poster. The reason for this is a closely guarded secret, known only to....er....well, nobody as far as we can tell!
POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit).
Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.
Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

The link to Part 10 is here.

The link to the latest grads thread is here.

So don those shag capes, we have standards to maintain - Part 10 saw an amazing 9 BFPs, including one set of twins! So - what are you still doing here? GET SHAGGING!!

:o

We have done it in front of the cats. I don't think they care though they sometimes give a disapproving look....

wavesandsmiles · 17/10/2012 09:21

redshoes your vacation sounds lovely. Hope you are making the most of it. Being near the sea is lovely - we step out of our front door of our new house every morning to the sight of the sea. It is amazing Smile

Boy your comment about the drooling dog made me shudder a bit.....

DH and I are off to London for the weekend (his birthday gift to me, hurrah!) so hoping for lots of JSing in the capital. V excited, and really hoping that if ERTD is on its way, it stays away at least til Monday.

Kittenkatzen · 17/10/2012 09:42

Oh god yeah our cats quite often sit there watching with a Hmm expression on their faces....they get shoved off if noticed - don't need an audience thanks!

horse omg I want a baby elephant too now! Only if it's definitely coming by stork though, don't much fancy squeezing one of them out my fanjita. Ooh very exciting that Arundel might have done the trick for you!

waves your new house sounds lovely, and redshoes I am Envy of your holiday - I miss the seaside!

boy hope everything was ok with the sonographer, sorry he didn't find a surprise baybeee in there!

CD3 here, nothing much to report. Hoping ertd buggers off shortly and my opks arrive soon.

Morning all! How is everyone today?

Sorry to hear about recent arrivals of ERTD, I hope you're able to get on with JSing soon after.

Been having a giggle about the JSing with either baby or pet in the room! Have never done either and I think I'd feel really weirded out!

redshoes - your vacation sounds amazing, I would do anything to be near the beach right now! Enjoy it and soak up some of that sun and fresh air for all of us here! And of course happy shagging Wink

MrsBri/nic - a huge congrats and very happy to hear your big day was fantastic!

horse - sounds very promising and fingers crossed for you!

Have been lurking this week a little as I have been giving myself some time to observe myself. ERTD is now 3 days late and have been anxiously running to the loo and checking if ERTD has started (sorry TMI!). Good news is it hasn't arrived and there has been no spotting (other than when I was approx 8-9dpo which I thought was ERTD). It was very light and lasted 2-3 days. I'm about 16dpo now. Have told DH about my potential upduffed status and we've decided to wait and test on the weekend. I don't want to have to worry about it being too early to test etc and give myself unnecessary worry. I have bought some tests and will find out Saturday I guess! I am not experiencing and major symptoms, but if I had to say what is different - I am quite tired by 9pm this week and boobs are quite a bit firmer and fuller, (much to my amusement, being a small-boobed gal and all!) but not sore at all. Will keep you all posted!

Hope you all have a lovely day.

Bearface · 17/10/2012 10:53

Hello All,

I'm back from hols - actually I got back on Monday but haven't had a chance to get on here until now.

Horse - how exciting! Fingers crossed for you. x

I am now 12dpo (I think as I don't know when ov happens with me). Did a POA on Monday (was only 10dpo at that point) as got too excited, but was a BFN. Hanging in there. ERTD due at the weekend, so hoping the weird cramps I'm getting are BFP rather than ERTD. It feels a bit like I am growing inside at times, so I am hoping it is Mr Uterus swelling to accommodate el bambino.

Hoping everyone else is okay and getting on with JS well.

In Bear news, I got a job rejection today, but it was written in such a lovely way that I actually felt better and didn't mind too much.

Also, have to share my rage - sorry about this in advance. Someone I know had a baby in the past few days - really happy for them. But then they posted a pic of baby on FB and next to it wrote 'glad it's not ginger' as she potentially could have been. I am ginger. Not impressed. Why do some people seem to think that this is an acceptable thing to say? You wouldn't say, 'luckily it's not too black' if it was mixed race. I am furious, but can't say anything as otherwise I will be upsetting their happy time. What do you guys think?

OhGood · 17/10/2012 12:01

Oh horse now I have to call agencies while trying not to sob all over Dumbo.

pineapple and bearface all sounds veeeery promising.

pineapple I am going to try for one excuse for your friend - you know when you think your newborn is utterly exquisite but you know you can't tell everyone that, so you reach for a sort of negative to say - could it have been that? And I never understand the issue - why do people not like it? - but I confess I love red hair. My brother's a proper ginger with the most astounding colouring, and I am mousy. I have secret hopes that I will have a ginger DC.

Kittenkatzen · 17/10/2012 13:18

Oooh pineapple that is exciting, fingers crossed for you! two bfp's in a week - come on JSers! :o

bear that's a horrible thing for your friend to say :( I assume she knows you're a redhead so I'd be sorely tempted to post a very pointed sarcastic reply like "oh that is a relief, how awful that would have been Hmm ". I would also be praying to the God of Ginger that the baby's hair changes colour.... :o

OP posts:
BoyMeetsWorld · 17/10/2012 13:52

Im blatantly going to have a ginger bubba (DH is ginger & I'm strawberry blonde)...& I'm very happy about it Grin I think redhead children are adorable

Bearface · 17/10/2012 15:06

Thanks guys. Re: the gingerism - I thought it was horrible too, but never sure if I am being oversensitive because I am ginger myself. I guess he thought she was joking, but I just found it offensive.

OhGood - I tried to excuse her, but the only thing I can think is that she's just a bit dim, as I don't see how you can't think that it would cause offence. I just feel so upset by it. DH says he thinks she's in a world of her own the rest of the time and that she's even more so now.

Kitten - I'm very tempted, but I didn't say that she's a family member and it would cause an argument. My tongue will probably start bleeding from all the biting of it! I'm praying like crazy to that God of Ginger!

I'm blatantly going to have a ginger DC too as the DH has ginger in his beard and has it on his side of the family as well. Both my parents were too, so I'd say I'm odds on for a beautiful ginger baby. Just need a BFP!

Bearface · 17/10/2012 15:07

Boy - hurrah for ginger bubbas! :)

Kittenkatzen · 17/10/2012 15:16

Oh if it's family then I'd definitely be going for the sarky comment - nothing like a good family argument to brighten up a dull Wednesday :o

I would love it if my babies were to be ginger - DH and I are both very fair though so won't hold my breath!

OP posts:
Hooya · 17/10/2012 15:23

Ooh Pineapple fx for you! Sounds promising!

Loads of lols at disapproving pets!

Shocking gingerism! I have dyed my hair ginger before so I never know what the problem is, would love to be naturally ginger!

Red vacation sounds lovely, mine seems so long ago already! Welcome back to bear and swimming and anyone else who's just back from hols.

We are 6 for 6 JSing wise - we're shagging like something! I am genuinely confused at my sex drive, post mc it's been crazy! I am tempted to never go back on the pill though it did give me bigger boobs

Happy JSing / good luck to all those in the 2ww and hope ERTDs bugger off soon to make way for BFPs!

wavesandsmiles · 17/10/2012 15:48

I am now commanding ERTD to stay away until Monday, if indeed, it is on its way. This is largely due to the fact that DH has now divulged some of the weekend's plans to me (bless, he thought he better so I knew what to pack). Very excited that he has got us tickets for a concert at the Royal Festival Hall (and booked 4 tickets in a box so we get it to ourselves), and that he is taking me for lunch up the Oxo Tower on Saturday! Which I am SURE is because of the thread about that on classics......(He witnessed me spitting tea over my laptop and nearly crying when I read that the first time)

It sounds completely amazing and I would really like to get some JSing in (in the blissful absence of any DCs or perving pets!!!)

notsoold · 17/10/2012 16:07

perving pets :) so true!!
I would go mad if anybody said anything about my babies being too dark or not (I am mixed race). So I am in awe of you pineapple for holding your tongue!!!

When DD was born, she was (and still is ) much fairer than me and I remember people asking me if I was her nanny!!! They always got told off in no uncertain ways!!!

Hi to everybody!!! And Happy (and not stressful) Jsing to all...

notsoold · 17/10/2012 16:09

waves that sounds amazing!!! I am jealous!!!! Have the most amazing time, girl!!!!

AWomanCalledHorse · 17/10/2012 16:53

I'm ginger & I'll make all the ginge jokes under the sun about me/my ginger family but I wouldn't make a joke about someone else unless I knew they were ok with it.
I made all the 'oh damn, it might be ginger' jokes about DS before he was born & I'll be doing the same about the next one.

Pineapple & bear, sounds really positive!
I poked my head into the graduates board yesterday, which makes me feel more pg!

waves, have a great weekend!

Pineapple80 · 17/10/2012 17:14

Fanks horse, keenly awaiting the weekend to test now Grin!

Bearface · 17/10/2012 19:17

Ugh - just had one of those moments where you look at pictures of other people's babies and you feel your uterus pounding because you want one. Not feeling sorry for myself, BTW, just you know that longing you get . . . ?

I don't have any DCs yet you see. Come one, body - sort it out! For me and everyone else on here!

AmIGoingMad · 17/10/2012 20:16

Hello! I've been lurking and finally am stepping out of the shadows! Hope there's room for another on here! Going mildly insane since started trying for DC2 in feb and am also starting to drive DH mad with my attempts to get jsing even when we're both beyond shattered! Due ertd- I love that name btw!- tomorrow ish and am hoping that it doesn't!!! Smile

OhGood · 17/10/2012 20:20

this is going to be a Big Fat Ginger BFP thread! Exciting!

Pineapple80 · 17/10/2012 20:26

Welcome AmI! Good luck and hope ERTD doesn't arrive for you Grin.

AWomanCalledHorse · 17/10/2012 20:45

at AmI! Welcome!

Bear, I have a 9 month old (he's really, really long so looks a bit older) and I get like that when I see newborns! They're all tiny & whiny, it's cute!

Well Pineapple, I will keep my fingers (aside from my dunking pee stick ones) crossed for you, you have amazing willpower resisting the call of the tests until the weekend!

OhGood, this is a ginger thread for ginger people Grin

notso, if I didn't know DS was related to me, I wouldn't guess looking at us, I'm pale, freckly, hazel eyes & vair ginger & he is olive skinned, dark brown hair & green eyes. I often wonder if people think I'm the help!

BoyMeetsWorld · 17/10/2012 22:03

Poor old DH keeps trying to initiate JS. I'm sooooo not up for it. Mega issues with highly annoying DM plus can't decide if I'm expecting ERTD or done a kitten...feeling something brewing but would b v surprised at good news so early.

So that leaves DH...bursting into bedroom as I'm writing an article. "would you like a bit of this??" doing comedy panto impression of rather lewd cowboy. Me (barely looking up) "no." DH looking slightly sad "oh. Would you like a cup of tea then?" . I fear I may be somewhat letting the side down!!

Bearface · 18/10/2012 09:37

Hello all

Welcome AmI!

Boy - hope it isn't ERTD. You made me laugh though - I don't think I've ever seen a lewd cowboy! To be fair, the image in my head wouldn't get me going either. Hope it works out and you get a BFP.

Pineapple - I don't know how you resist the POAS allure, if you can call it that!

I'm really hoping for ERTD to do one this weekend. I've got some heaviness round there, but I'm hoping it's just from eating too much bread! Thing is, I'm supposed to be doing a 10k hill run on Sunday, so if it's a BFP, do I still do it? I'm thinking yes . . . need to work off the bread!

Bearface · 18/10/2012 09:37

P.S. Thanks everyone for the ginger support - how weird that so many of us are ginger!
