Fred rules;

1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
4. Thou shalt share and [tea] with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.
Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.
Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).
Viroid = This is you, dear poster. The reason for this is a closely guarded secret, known only to....er....well, nobody as far as we can tell!
POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit).
Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.
Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Horse, yup. I am constantly learning new things during this TTC journey.

Thinking I will need a slap quite soon. Starting spotting today and fear the arrival of ERTD. But what's with the pink/brown cervical mucus CM (no wonder that gets abbreviated. Gross words)? Of course sat down for a long visit with Dr. Google, which only made me feel more like a crazy woman.

redshoes & horse - lots of learning and sharing is caring! Something like that anyway.

redshoes - hope it isn't ERTD. Fingers crossed. Are u feeling any cramps at all?

I still feel normal. Ugh!! I guess I will know in exactly a week's time. At least work will keep me occupied but damned google is just there isn't it? Must restrain ourselves redshoes!!

redshoes I think it being a secret is really fun - one of the worst bits about my mc was realising we wouldn't get to tell our parents who will be wonderfully surprised and happy if we do manage it!

I'm at home today (bank holiday here) which is good but does mean I'm at the mercy of Dr Google. Our internet access is monitored at work and my office is very nosy so I wouldn't risk so much as a cheeky search for "how long after ERPC can I have sex" for fear of outing myself!

I'm so impatient to get started again! I have read google again that it's normal after mc to want to get pg even more than before - soooo true!

In other news, I'm in shock today about my DP's super sperm - he confessed he drinks about 4 double espressos per day not to mention all the beer and still managed to get me upduffed in our 2nd month!

Hello to everyone... I am kind of in a daze after the stress of packing up the rest of the house and cleaning like a woman possessed all weekend. Still managed some JSing though. Managed to convince DH that we couldn't move house til we had DTD in every possible place. So that is the understairs cupboard ticked off, and the (unfloored) loft

Gave in to temptation and used an IC yesterday morning. BFN, but hey ho, it's only our first month of trying post coil removal.

Tomorrow is completion day, so tonight we are going to be in a completely empty house tonight, bar an airbed, a kettle, and some cups. (Waves cannot survive the day without numerous cups of tea first thing!)

ERTD arrived last night (knew it would come as poor shagging month) but please as it's my 2nd proper one post pill and first was 23 day cycle and this one was 28 days! I am please as this is back to normal for me so hopefully have a proper go at it this month! We even discussed getting some lube to assist with the 'quick ones' we are planning to have this month. He said Vas but I explained the whole sperm murderousness of it and we might get some conceive plus. Roll on Shag fest

Looks like everyone's been busy this weekend.

I got lots of JSing in and then ERTD arrived to mock me (first 'proper' one since implant removal 8weeks ago!) I'm suffering with it too, feel like a right wimp and have gone back to bed to wallow in my own misery while I can (DP inbetween work contracts so can take over child care...or keep watch from one eye while the other concentrates on XBox playing duty!)

Fairly certain ERTD has unpacked her bags. I'm OK with it. I now know that my luteal phase is only 8-9 days, which is not great, but at least I can be proactive about it and talk to the doc (the real doc, not Dr. Google). I also know that my new normal is on-and-off cramps from right before ovulation, and lower back pain lovely. Good news: I can drink with my husband on vacation next week. I can try to lose a few pounds before and after vacation. And, I can stay here and obsess-- chat with all of you.

pineapple maybe you will have better luck than me this month!

waves good for you on the big move and all the JSing. We moved into our new place a year ago and there are still rooms left unchristened. Maybe that's the plan for the next four weeks as well....

hooya I am off today as well (something about Columbus discovering America?). Hoping to stay away from the evil Internet and clean the basement, as my brand-new washing machine gets delivered this evening. Our 15-year-old model finally went to appliance heaven this weekend. The new one has cycles for just about everything, a digital display and lots of buttons...and I'm more excited about it then I should probably admit!

I am feeling like I should actually have symptoms by now at approx 7 dpo (i wouldn't know?!) and as I don't, feeling maybe it isn't my month either. Who knows! I am really bad with disappointment so have been trying my best this month not to get hopes up too much. Someone just slap me, I'm being pathetic I know!!!

Hallo shaggers how is everyone today? I can see you are mostly all super nympho goddesses but has anyone, like me, with a slightly lower libido noticed that TTC suddenly makes you ridiculously horny. Like insatiable. It must be the idea of it!! not so productive when sat in work & just desp to be at home with DH babymaking.

Meanwhile...Q for those accessing his Fred on the IPhone App: do we reaaaaally have to scroll through every post from the start to get to the most recent posts. Or is there some way around this I haven't fathomed?

I have my newer ones at the top, which is how I cope, Boy...haven't found a 'first unread' option yet!

If u go to + sign in top right corner and "flip messages" it goes in reverse order from last message posted on this fred backwards (if that's what u mean!) bit rubbish at techy things x

On the other side of the pond, my spotting has stopped. Naturally, as soon as I came to terms with ERTD coming. I am so ready for vacation.

Hi all shaggers! I've been lurking on here since I graduated and I thought I'd just pop my head in to give you all some encouragement!!

Anyway I really wanted to share with you something about OVing when you do the JSing method (which is the best and most fun way!). I used an iPhone app just to monitor my ERTD dates to get a rough idea of my cycle. I knew they were getting weirdly irregular about 30 days long but when I got my BFP of course the dr just used my last ERTD date and calculated from there.

So imagine my shock when I turned up bang on 12 weeks for my scan, but I was actually only 10 weeks 6 - a full 8 days out!

Essentially, what I learnt was its not all about the cycle length. Don't take for granted that you will OV in the middle of a cycle and then write off your chances once you think you're in the 2ww. You may be OVing much much later or earlier than you think!!

I think it is NO coincidence that the first month DH and I actually did JS EOD (every other day), I got upduffed because we basically weren't doing it at the right time but I never knew and would ease off on the JSing once I thought I'd got past OV.

I also wonder of that's why we got so many BFPs around the same time in Aug/Sept because I think we were all on an EOD drive around then.

So my advice is go for it EOD if possible and fingers crossed!!!

Oh and to save you from scrolling through all the thread (even backwards), go into CUSTOMISE at the top and select Bookmarks (I'm on my phone so can't remember the exact steps). I think you need to remember to save changes too?

Then whenever you hover with your mouse on the bottom right of a post you'll see 'bookmark' OR you should see it automatically on your phone and then when you go into any thread it'll scroll automatically to the bookmark! When you click on a new one it works again by overwriting the previous one.

It's the best thing ever, I use it on all threads, even ones I'm just reading and not posting on :)

Second what Wing says, I have no clue when I ov, had no signs either month, so we basically did it every day or every other day the whole time I wasn't having ERTD, and got upduffed second cycle (ok it didn't stick but proves sperm met egg).

Only thing is...I think I'm putting too much thought into this JS business. Not the upduffing part, the act itself. I've got it in my head that I want it all to be completely perfect & romantic & DH & I to feel closer than ever with this little secret between us. Somehow it doesn't seem like that. I guess realistically of course it wouldn't - JS to TTC involves lots of quickies (not the most romantic!) & even doing it when you don't really feel like it. I feel a but stupid - even cried yday just as we finished!! Poor DH was confused to bits. I honestly couldn't even explain why I did - just feel really emotional about it all. I must be a weirdo!!!

I blame getting left whilst preggers with DC1. But it's not poor DHs fault. vows to chill out & just enjoy shagging like bunnies

I got a BFN yesterday (ertd due on friday, so it's early anyhoo), I tested as I'm feeling like cack. Nauseous & bloated, feel like ertd is going to come on any minute....so hopefully it's because I'm upduffed & not because I'm ill or prepping for ertd.

boy I was like a raging nympho when I first came off the pill....dh thought it was brilliant! The novelty did wear off a bit though, and actually tbh I quite like that ttc is involving lots of quickies....not being a hearts and flowers girl myself!

Hello everyone, and thanks for all the JSing advice . We managed to get our house all packed up last night (back killing today though) and have been to court this morning so we now officially own our new place. DH is off work the rest of the week, and I've got tomorrow off to help. Can't remotely concentrate at work cos I am so super excited.

Pretty sure ERTD is on the way, but kind of happy about that really as it is only cycle 1 after the coil. Also, we really need to get on with decorating and obviously easier if I am not immediately upduffed. So, I shall be having a large (or two) this evening to celebrate. Hope you are all having a good day

World and Horse my DS was conceived with a fantastically romantic, memorable back-story (only time we DTD that month so know exact occasion). I can't go into it on here as would definitely out me, but safe to say its unlikely DC2 will have such a tale to embarrass them with as teenagers :)
