(sorry I know that's awful but seriously, can you think of anything else that rhymes with "eleven"?!)

Ladies, leave your OPKs at the door, and settle in for part 11 of JSing!

Fred rules;

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share Wine and [tea] with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.
Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.
Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce Envy in other posters).
Viroid = This is you, dear poster. The reason for this is a closely guarded secret, known only to....er....well, nobody as far as we can tell!
POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit).
Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.
Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

The link to Part 10 is here.

The link to the latest grads thread is here.

So don those shag capes, we have standards to maintain - Part 10 saw an amazing 9 BFPs, including one set of twins! So - what are you still doing here? GET SHAGGING!!

:o

Gutted for you Hooya hope you can get back to JSing soon.

My 4 week JSing drout ended on Saturday night and because it's too late for us this month I let him 'Ice my Boobs'. He had no idea it was too late and said afterwards, you're thinking 'that was a waste aren't you' ha ha. I said no, we've missed our window this month cause you were moody so I'll let you have that. Lets hope this is the start of a good JSing month (unlike Sep!).
Weird thing is, my parents were staying with us this weekend so spending the evening being bored stiff (ahem) obviously did it for him Smile.

Redshoes56 · 01/10/2012 16:04

hooya and ohgood - so sorry to hear your crap news, sending good thoughts your way. Just terrible Sad.

We also did it lots over the weekend - think the timing was spot on this month, but if not, we had fun anyway - and now I'm looking forward to a few JS-free days, to be honest! Nice work on the sneaks, waves!

AWomanCalledHorse · 01/10/2012 16:59

Hooya, that is utter shit news :( Hope your erpc isn't too painful & we have you back full time here asap (although, you're not to stick around here too long). ((hugs)) from me.

OhGood, how are you today?

Sounds like everyone has had a productive JS weekend!
waves, shed sounds very, urm, old school. I like JS in small spaces so made DH climb into the airing cupboard with me a few years back, it's not a space designed with a strapping 6'2 lad in mind Grin

Lexi, oooh! That would be a nice surprise. And much better than having your ERTD playing silly buggers.

Looking to jump DH later, but DS is playing up (had his first ever public meltdown today) so DH is slightly knackred.

Hope everyone has a decent week, the weather is poo here.

Rockchick1984 · 01/10/2012 17:28

Lexi how long have you had your coil, and is it a mirena? If so (and please don't think I'm trying to piss on your bonfire) my periods stopped after around 12 months of having it fitted I panicked and was POAS every day for weeks until the Dr told me this can be a normal side effect so I hope you're upduffed, but wanted to suggest there may be another explanation Sad

Well, I'm still horribly unwell, the AB's have knackered my liver so I may be just lurking rather than just shagging for a few months Sad but will throw BFP vibes at you all desperately!!

Oh, Horse that first public melt-down is rough isn't it? DS is 18 months and we are starting to learn the best distraction techniques although they don't always work :)

Lexilicious · 01/10/2012 17:38

That's useful info Rockchick but it's copper - and actually I / DH have never bothered to check the threads. I think I'll suggest he has a bit of a furtle up there to try to find it tonight or tomorrow if still not 'on'.

Sorry you are still unwell too, it's all a bit rubbish at the moment isn't it!

AndieMatrix · 01/10/2012 18:59

Hooya That's a shame after letting yourself believe it was sticky too! Hope all goes as well as can be expected and you're back to JSing form soon. ((Hugs))

Waves Shed has too many spiders for me! DP and I did it in the downstairs loo over the weekend to get away from our sprogs.l

Oooh, in that case Lexi fingers, toes and everything crossed for you Grin

Hooya · 02/10/2012 12:22

Hello all

Thanks so much for your lovely comments, I'm actually doing really fine today if quietly nervous about the ERPC. livis I may take you up on that, it's on Friday unless things happen naturally before then, but I might be best just to rock up and let them get on with it rather than overthinking it...

33 proper laughed out loud at "ice my boobs" that's classic. DP had complained before that he misses "icing" me in other places while we are TTC, so maybe right at the end of the cycle is a good time for that.

Excited for all of you who have been at the JSing and very amused by the sneaking around! I'm not sure how I'd cope doing it all the time with kids in the same house I am a bit of a screamer

Thanks to you all for cheering me up!

Lexilicious · 02/10/2012 13:23

Hooya, hope all is well this week, will be thinking of you Friday.

I am going to the walk-in family planning clinic this evening because DH couldn't find my coil strings last night. Actually, he couldn't find my cervix at all, but I definitely have one Grin. It used to be tucked away towards the back, but first pregnancy might have straightened my architecture out a bit, I thought.

Anyway, day 32 now and still no ERTD. It's not a great situation because if the coil is in there but in the wrong place, and an embryo develops, the coil could get embedded, or cause a rejection at a later stage. If the coil is in the right place and I have still managed to get a fertilised egg, one of the only places it will 'stick' could be up in the fallopians, which is not good either, obv.

So, I think I will try to get referred from tonight's clinic to the FPC / GUM / EPC who might use the duck beak thing for a manual check or one of those dildo ultrasounds (fucking glamorous isn't it Hmm ) and even if there's nothing actually wrong I might as well have it taken out now because we're about the right time to start TTC, i.e. if we get a sticky one first time it still won't be too far along to have our holiday in March.

notsoold · 02/10/2012 16:21

Hoooya thinking of you hun...x

33 my parents visiting had the sam e effect on my dh ....there is a formula there girl!!!

Lexi...poor you! really hope everything gets sorted.

I have been lurking but quiet over here as dh that the stent until the 17 and only js twice in the whole 6 weeks.
Stents are gone and dh was keen to see if equipment was working lol
Of course we missed the ov period but he is happy with himself and I am happy my old man is back on business.
Ask him of jsing every other day is unfeasible. and not able anymore to do so. But he does such a good job (tmi lol)that I find impossible to complaint ;)

Oh...thanks for your comments about me and another job/ qualification... I have gone and started it...

Pineapple80 · 03/10/2012 11:10

Thinking of you hooya & lexi. Keep us posted on how you go.

nosoold - welcome back! Glad to hear your DH is doing well and you are happy too Smile.

How is everyone else doing?

Well I guess I'm in the 2 week wait now. We have JS'd quite a bit and had 5 days in a row. I wanted to do it once more last night but DH was kinda moody and indicated he wasn't up for it! He has never really done that before, but Not to worry. We will wait and see now.

Hope you are all doing well.

teaandcakesolveseverything · 03/10/2012 11:21

So sorry about the ERPC hooya, life is really shitty sometimes isn't it?

5 days in a row Pineapple? That is some stamina, I'd been feeling really happy with the amount of EODing we'd done, but that puts us to shame!

I can't decide now if I'm in the 2ww or if I'm going to have to badger dh for a couple more shags, would be much easier if I temped or something but that would drive me just completely crazy!

Lexilicious · 03/10/2012 11:31

Thanks pineapple.
Still no ERTD (today is day 33). Extra pant snot over the weekend though, I recall.
Bought a test yesterday evening before going to the clinic. Pharmacy assistant lives across the road from me Blush
Clinic did the duck thing and said coil definitely there in right place.
Chickened out of having it removed there and then.
Forgot to POAS this morning, will do tomorrow if still no ERTD.
Not quite sure how I feel about this. We hadn't even done much shagging in the past month! Bit more in August (oh god, hope it's not that far gone!). I don't like the loss of control...

AWomanCalledHorse · 03/10/2012 11:56

Lexi, you forgot to POAS!? Shock
Glad you know where the coil is, and really hope you get the BF? you want atm.
Once, back when I worked, I went to buy a test, forgetting I was in a uniform (a 999 service) Blush

Pineapple, sounds hopeful! tea, have some more shags, go on!!

notso, ooh! Very exciting to hear you've gone for it! Is DH happy for you?
Good to hear standard JS service has resume at your end!

Hooya, I hope you have some amazing bum sex & icing sessions when you're up for it.

Rock, how are you feeling?

No shagging here yesterday, DS was ill & out of hours GP sent us to A&E. We're home, he has some meds to take but he's in quite a bit of discomfort which is horrible to see as he's normally a happy little chap.

at everyone I've not namechecked.

Rockchick1984 · 03/10/2012 12:48

Welcome back notso - glad all seems to be working for DH, hopefully you can just enjoy yourselves for the rest of this month then back to SWI next month :)

Lexi how did you get on last night?

Rockchick1984 · 03/10/2012 12:48

Ooops, should really refresh before posting Blush

Kittenkatzen · 03/10/2012 13:02

Awww horse, hope mini-horse (foal?!) is feeling much better soon.

OP posts:
Rockchick1984 · 03/10/2012 13:04

Horse hope your DS is feeling much better soon, what's wrong with him? It's awful seeing them unwell and not being able to make them feel any better Sad

I'm still feeling fabulously pathetic, can barely lift DS into his cot. This has really knocked me for six, I hate being unwell!! Won't be JSing this month but maybe next month :)

Lexi I was terrified about having my coil removed but didn't feel a thing despite being an utter wuss! The nurse propped everything open like she would for a smear, then told me to cough. She pulled it out when I did, and I genuinely made her show me the coil as I didn't believe she had removed it Grin

AWomanCalledHorse · 03/10/2012 15:19

Foal has ballanitis (medical term for Skany Penis), it's nothing major but it's swollen, angry & has a bit of pus. He's got a fever (which is going down) but it's him screaming in agony everytime he wees which is hard to stand, thankfully we were in A&E late enough for DH to be too tired for work so he's off today!

Rock, that's awful, I suffer lots with UTI & lady bit stuff so you have my sympathy.
All this talk of nurses hands in foofs reminds me I need to book a smear....how uncomfortable are they?

Redshoes56 · 03/10/2012 15:42

Hey ladies,
Passing good thoughts on to everyone who is ill - seems to be in the air here, too. tea and pineapple, thinking I'm in the 2ww now too. Was horrified reading on the internet last night (was Googling general topics, not TTC-obsessing, I promise, Girl Scouts honor) about how uptight women get during 2ww. Asprin's good, asprin's bad! Pineapple is good, pineapple is bad! I'm afraid I'm going to look sideways at a piece of runny cheese and my uterus will spontaneously combust. How ridiculous. I can tell you that so far in the 2ww I have consumed: Wine, gin and foie gras. Runny cheese is in my future. And I'm going to eat pineapple because I like it, not because I think it'll give my uterus any superpowers. OK, I'm getting off the soapbox now.

Pineapple80 · 03/10/2012 16:01

Redshoes - it can get ridiculous cant it? I just try to avoid googling things altogether as it only causes anxiety! I've been guilty of it though but this time want to try to chill out a bit and relax. Trying is one thing, lets see how I am in a week or so! Grin

Tea - yes we committed to five days straight and have to admit this isn't our normal routine! It was pretty tiring but hope it was worth it. Otherwise it was fun trying anyway! We did start off as EOD but then i got ovulation type cramping (noticed it for first time) and was sure it was a good time to shag so away we went. Poor DH said he was bit "sore" by the end of it all Blush. I would say shah more though, why not! Wink

wavesandsmiles · 03/10/2012 16:47

I think as soon as I started googling the saliva and sperm issue I was pretty much put off google. So I am trying to ignore scare stories and resultant anxiety. Fortunately I am so busy with work and moving house that I can barely think about the 2ww,and need to try to remember to do some POASing next week, so long as ERTD doesn't put in an appearance before then....

Kittenkatzen · 03/10/2012 17:26

I agree, Dr Google is best avoided - you can argue yourself round in infinite circles otherwise!

horse I've only ever had mildly uncomfortable smear tests - nothing worse! They're usually a source of amusement for me - one nurse spent the whole time wittering on about a national ladybird shortage (wtf?!), and then there was the time the nurse handed a single square of kitchen roll saying "here you go dear - dignity cover..."! Hmm
