Thanks for reassurance girls x

Kittenkatzen · 16/09/2012 20:13

Shock omg when what a completely bonkers thin for the nurse to say! I just read that out to DH and he was quite concerned that someone that nuts had access to your veins....!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 16/09/2012 21:32

kitty thanks for the Morrisons tip. I too drank way too much in early pregnancy with dd (it was 7dpo I didn't know). She is fine just has an unhealthy obsession with cake. In fact I am try

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 16/09/2012 21:37

I fact I am trying to recreate dds conception this month by drinking rum and coke (clearly pissed I can't post right).

kitten the nurse was clearly nuts. I would like to say I put her right and explained why her views were completely out of order but I just sat there with a shocked expression and then shuffled out [shame].

I have spent this weekend with lots of friends four of whom are pregnant. One of them is slightly older and is clearly completely panicked about Downs. She looked so stressed out and all I could feel was Envy. I don't like the person ttc turns me into.

winkle2 · 16/09/2012 22:31

Hope it works when!

I'm giving up my one fag a day from tomorrow (again).

Kittenkatzen · 17/09/2012 07:36

I know just what you mean about being Envy of friends when. It's like you want to be supportive but everything you say seems to have a slightly bitter after taste. I can't seem to snap myself out of it.

Good luck with quitting winkle Grin

winkle2 · 17/09/2012 08:48

Managed a dtd last night and it wasn't even OV time! cheeky!!

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 17/09/2012 10:05

Hi, how's everyone doing? Had a big red line on the opk yesterday, and ewcm, so dtd last night, going to give it a go today or tomorrow too to say we've done our best this month. Late ov though, cd 19, I must have a long cycle. Fingers crossed!

I'm taking 5mg folic acid (due to me being overweight, and first baby having a sacral dimple, but thankfully not developed enough to be spina bifida) which works out at 12 of the usual 400ug tablets Shock then the pregnancy multivitamin, two iron tablets, two calcium tablets, and four vitamin c tablets... bet I rattle when I walk! But I've felt run down for ages so I think I'd better play it safe and build up my reserves. Any fellow pill poppers here? I never normally take anything, this feels weird!

woody17 · 17/09/2012 11:18

Hi all

Has anyone tried acupuncture? I am getting quite tempted to give it a go...

Kittenkatzen · 17/09/2012 11:36

woody I'm not great with needles so just the thought of acupuncture makes me feel quite queasy I think there are some ladies around here who have had it though. Also reflexology but feet make me almost as queasy as needles

james you certainly do sound as if you must rattle when you walk! Do you take them all at once or spread them out over the day? I'm only taking Pregnacare conception at the moment, not tried anything else just yet.

woody17 · 17/09/2012 11:46

Thanks kitten I've had reflexology once and it was horrendous! It really put me off. I'm not even sure where I'd start trying to find a good acupuncturist where I live though, especially someone who does fertility!

winkle2 · 17/09/2012 12:01

James ? wow that's a lot of pills! I take Pregnacare Conception and hubby's on the wellman conception and then a separate vit c and zinc tab. well done on dtd, sounds like you did it at the right time!

Woody ? never tried acupuncture but would def go for it if I thought it would help.

kittykatskumkwat · 17/09/2012 17:35

Winkle- what did you make of those pills the girl on another thread mentioned, iso flavens or something?! We're you tempted because I am??

winkle2 · 17/09/2012 18:26

Yes defo tempted! Been reading loads up about it. But hoping I don't need them cause I'm already pregnant :) CD 29 here....

Kittenkatzen · 17/09/2012 18:37

Ooh winkle fx for you! Smile are you late yet? Are you normally pretty regular?

I'm trying desperately not to symptom spot here, but I've had an almost constant very mild crampy feeling for about 3 days now, sometimes coupled with a fluttery feeling....am cd22 so AF should be a week or do away yet and I don't normal get AF pains this early....Confused

Kittenkatzen · 17/09/2012 18:38

'scuse typos am on phone on train Blush

Thundercatsarego · 17/09/2012 18:46

Hi all, just thought I'd better update for those not also on the other freds , I got my bfp this morning! Been having sore breasts and thought I'd test on a whim. Had to go straight out and jump on a train to London so it took a while to sink in!

I've been taking pregnacare daily for a wee while now, nothing else though.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 17/09/2012 19:02

A BFP

huge congrats thundercats bet you were sat on the train with a huge grin plastered on your face.

SunshineOutdoors · 17/09/2012 19:02

Hooray! Well done for the bfp thundercats how exciting!!! Enjoy every shell shocked moment!

Kittenkatzen · 17/09/2012 19:10

Congrats thundercats! Did you have any symptoms like constant mild cramping around 8dpo please say yes Grin

Thundercatsarego · 17/09/2012 19:15

Thank you when. Actually I was totally blown away, could've been tears or laughter that came out if I hadnt done my London commuter grumpy arse poker face so as not to give anything away.

Actually kitten I had mild cramping from a bit before 8dpo. And then boobache from late on approx 10dpo. So it is a yes!

winkle2 · 17/09/2012 19:56

Congratulations thundercat!

Kitten - my cycles vary. Longest cycle has been 43 days; shortest 27. It's usually around 32ish.

I can't afford to test as don't get paid till Friday!

I don't feel preg :(

kittykatskumkwat · 17/09/2012 19:56

Kitten things are really sounding promising for you, I had that with my last bfp I would say the earlier half of 2ww little punches and twinges, your dh sounds right on this month!!
Winkle if I don't get a bfp this month I may try it, what's to loose hey apart from our disastrous months on epo and massive cycle Blush
But this is ofcourse different Grin

kittykatskumkwat · 17/09/2012 20:01

Winkle- I don't feel pregnant either, 99% sure not and cd38 here so nothing to loose, my only 1% is just for a cold saw and had the same last bfp! I think it's just sods law though to make me not pregnant and unkissable lol
Congrats again thunder

winkle2 · 17/09/2012 20:13

Have you tested?
