I bit the bullet!

How was it that in central Manchester at 4pm the scene was close to apocalyptical (sp?) but 10 miles south it was sunny and dry? Why don't I live in the South of France (aside from non-fluency in the lingo) or, indeed, Australia (we've discussed that before)? So many questions.

Weather definitely responsible for headaches and general air of malaise here.

Dark cloud following you, resipsa?! :-/

My headache finally buggered off (DTD actually helped!)...new day today though!

swimmingnotdrowning · 30/08/2012 09:19

I caught your headaches. Syncing indeed.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 30/08/2012 09:30

I was feeling so positive yesterday. Was feeling like I was just about to ov, v interested in sex. Negative opks today and don't feel at all ov like.

At least I have been headache free.

Lolcbcblemonlime · 30/08/2012 13:26

Me too. Headache finally left me. Horay

weechops · 30/08/2012 13:49

You've passed the headache onto me now! Wow viral migraine. Although I have recently discovered that codeine shifts the worst of my migraine where nothing else touches it. Just means I'm a bit fuzzy in the day!

NickiNockiNoodle · 30/08/2012 13:50

Mine went too!

Feel gynae-ish today...hoping it is OV signs.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 30/08/2012 13:55

I keep checking for signs of ov. So far cm has gone clear but is not ew yet. Hoping I get a positive opk on Friday or Sat.

Saw a pregnant woman today, although she looked like a girl (very young). Envy

resipsa · 30/08/2012 15:30

I can't turn around (in this office) without one hitting me in the face (not literally, obvs). Saw my friend with 3 week old on Saturday. On downside (for me, not her), she has him forever and I don't. On upside, her house looked like a bombsite, she hadn't been outside for 3 days, she sleeps for 2 hours at a time and hates her MIL!

I know how that feels resepsa as I'm surrounded by friends with newborns. Starting to feel annoyed that I'm missing out on time with them because I just find it so hard to spend time with them. If I do see them and put the brave smile on I always a have a lovely time but I'm sad about it for day's after thinking why not me. Sounds selfish I know :-/ I'm seeing a friend with a big bump soon, going to try really hard to be as enthusiastic and interested as id want her to be for me. This TTC larky really tests friendships as well as your own relationship with DP/DH!

Kittenkatzen · 30/08/2012 16:56

resipsa sounds like your office is the same as mine!

It's funny isn't how once you've decided on ttc, all of a sudden there are babies and bumps everywhere. We have THREE sets of twins due over the next few months in my office. Plus my SIL and two friends are upduffed. Obviously by "funny" I really mean Angry and Envy and Sad

Nic I have no idea what gynae-ish feels like, but it sounds like you should be jumping your H2B immediately! :o

NickiNockiNoodle · 30/08/2012 17:58

Is it a legal office thing, resipsa? My office is overwhelmed with upduffed ladies :-/

Gynae-ish means I'm just very aware of my ovaries / uterus. Not exactly pain, but discomfort and heaviness. Does that mean anything to anyone else?!

NickiNockiNoodle · 30/08/2012 18:00

Oh, and I jumped H2B last night...not sure he's ready for me to leap at him again tonight! And as we have a guest tomorrow night, I feel that Saturday evening will be the next viable DTD option! Fx it will be OK, though I've not had a smiley face yet :-/ Think it is due soon though.

winkle2 · 30/08/2012 18:29

Hi all

I'm on cd11 and my monitor says low even though the last 2 months it's Def showed high by now and peaked at cd13 - very odd. I should start dtd really as I haven't done it this cycle yet!

NickiNockiNoodle · 30/08/2012 18:43

You sound like me, winkle...OV appears to be getting later and later! :-/

Lolcbcblemonlime · 30/08/2012 19:51

Well today I found out one of our area managers is 19 weeks pg. the only thing that cheers me up is that she is 43 and even though she has 2 grown up kids she was trying for this one with new DH. That means I must have a few years left in me to try...

NickiNockiNoodle · 30/08/2012 19:54

That's good going, Lol...definitely hope yet :-)

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 30/08/2012 20:39

Hi, is it ok to join this thread if you are just starting out with ttc? We have just decided to try for a third baby, out of the blue! Must be mad. It's day 1 of my cycle today (I think. Unless you count spotting yesterday as day 1?) I'm not sure how long my cycle is exactly but I think it's 30 days or over, so I've bought some ovulation sticks off eBay to give me a clue of when to do it. Anyway, hi. :-)

FrustratedSycamorePants · 30/08/2012 21:33

Hi james that's a very phallic name you have there. Wink

You've got loads of time lolcbcb

Hows everyone's headaches?

Lolcbcblemonlime · 30/08/2012 21:37

Hi frustrated

My headache is finally gone. It took me 3 lots of painkillers. Been to LBT this evening and know I won't be able to move tomorrow. My bum is already sore!
Not great for DTD but my plan is only once this wkd then thu as poss ov is only sat or sun I think!

FrustratedSycamorePants · 30/08/2012 22:00

I have a headache coming on. Did you say on other fred you have a cleaner? Envy I want a cleaner Envy

NickiNockiNoodle · 30/08/2012 22:17

Hi James

My awful headache yesterday went OK. I have a little, underlying, one at the moment.

I put it down to concentrating hard all day!

I think weechops is in possession of the MN headache at the moment.

Lolcbcblemonlime · 30/08/2012 22:22

I hope weechops loses it today and nobody else gets this damn headache!
Yes frustrated I've had a cleaner for 2 years now and my rows with DH have been reduced by at least half ever since!!! Now that she does the ironing I depend ln her even moreBlush. Had one I quite liked for a long time but she had to leave so now adapting to new one...

NickiNockiNoodle · 31/08/2012 07:24

I don't think I'd trust a cleaner to do the job properly! Stupid really.

CD15 and still no surge...maybe 32 days is my new cycle length? At least I'd get through most of my honeymoon without AF then. Swings and roundabouts. :-/

Kittenkatzen · 31/08/2012 07:40

I'd love a cleaner in theory, DH thinks we should get one, but in reality I just know I'd feel like I had to have a quick tidy up/wipe round before she came! Blush

Welcome james Smile

The MN headache can stay away from me please - we are off on holiday Sunday and I'm currently waiting to come down with my traditional beginning of holiday cold...touch wood have avoided it so far which will be a first!

Ah yes nic I do know what you mean by gynae-ish in that case. I think I get kind if tender around that area mid month. Have only stated noticing it recently though. Fingers crossed its a good sign that we're in working order Smile

Happy Friday everyone - what lovely things have you all got planned? We are off to see the Paralympics tomorrow, then holiday on Sunday of course!
