BFP in 2012 Part 3 - let's get on with it!

I'm not sure how I'm feeling. Thirsty, coldy, crampy, and stabby ovary pain here. But really trying to not think pregnancy after last month's epic fuck up :-(

11DPO, CD 28, so AF could come at any time, based on past cycles.

Ho hum!!

Oh, and awful insomnia last night. Did mean a 1am shag though, ha ha!!

I was asleep by 9 and slept in this morning as forgot to set alarm, thank goodness for dd!!

I'm back from my scan too and all looks ok in there which is a relief. Glad yours was ok when.

How long were you ladies trying before your scans? I know we probably covered this but it was a while ago.

It's been a year.

Glad scans OK all around. And 1am shags? God, I feel tired thinking about it!
Well, sorry to be the party pooper at my own bash but AF arrived today so no birthday BFP for me (nor a wedding anniversary due date - always too good ever to happen in RL) . Not helped that noticed the arrival just before I picked up DD and in front of me at the door were the parents with the 5 week old and 28 week bump respectively . Initially gutted but now looking forward to night out and hols next week.
On to October...altho I might finally be coming round to the idea that, at 42, I am past it. Read a book called "The Two Week Wait" recently where one character preaches the idea of "acceptance" to her SIL who's TTC without success. Not sure I'm there yet but maybe it's a way forward in no joy in 2012.

TTC is such a bitch isn't it, why is it so hard, I dont think you should give up as you hear of plenty of women in their 40s having kids but maybe if you do think your giving up hoping itl make it easier each month?! And you'll get pregnant like everyone says happen??
Glad you've got your holl to Olof forward to, I don't feel like we've been sucsessful this month either but I an going away next month and I think itl be great to go and drink and relax

It doesn't surprise me res, I think we are all leaving it later to have kids now, be warned though I think in your 40s the chance of multiples goes up! Did anyone watch one born and the twins/triplets? There was one couple with 4 kids allready but had been tryi g for 2/3 years for a 5th ( they were well off you could tell) and had had little luck and a few mc etc then she found out she was pregnant and it was triplets!! Aparently out body's start pushing out as many eggs as they can to give us a good chance of reproducing before its too late

AF got me today as well so I am currently having a proper sulk. Starting to have thoughts like 'what if I don't get a 2012 BFP?'. I never thought it would take this long when we started, how naive I was! My would have been DP birthday BFP too, and due date around an important date like you res. In fact there has been a reason I should get a BFP for the past three months and that hasn't helped! Maybe having no important dates this month will help...

Sorry she got you, resipsa :-( But don't give up. Or maybe you should, because then you'll be up duffed before you know it!

I'm starting to worry too, Dulcet. Maybe I don't have the family fertility gene. Or maybe once the wedding is out of the way it'll happen.

And my 1am shag was a desperate measure to try to get to sleep. Without success :-(

Res- was it valentines? Or the place? They have changed names over the years a few times but they are the two I remember

Really sorry about af for resipsa and dulcet. The end of 2012 seemed like ages away in August but it feels a lot closer now.

Ah sorry res and dulcet - I'm right there with you! I still had a twinkle of hope that early bleeding might be implantation etc etc but proper red blood today so I feel your pain! I'm think about stopping for the next few months - am beginning to hate some of my friends purely because they have the perfect 2 year gap everyone seems so obsessed with and have not had a single moment of trouble when TTC - it's just not healthy to be so at people who have done nothing wrong! (except a bit of smugness maybe )
But I'm sort of addicted to MN now so there's no getting away from it!!

Anyway, just wanted to say good luck to all and fx for your BFPs but I am off for a while to try to regain some sanity and shall miss you all! Hugs and luck to all xx

Thunder yes it was the duck part, as far as I know it's only a s-o-t thing!!

Older people in Kettering call others me duck. It's common in Nottingham too. Most odd hearing beefy men call each other duck!!

Sorry you are disappearing, fatas, hope you're back soon. I know kind of how you feel. The community on here is fantastic. But is also hard watching others' BFPs, even though it is our 'friends' getting them.
