Greetings sisters [puts flowers in hair]

Bring your very best woo & let's see if we can magick up a few baybees (insta-differs not allowed).

New recruits are required to locate the BESH spell aka the BESHtionnaire and submit for further scrutiny.

Blood taken. Home now and preparing for a day in the lovely sunny garden, wondering what colour to paint my toenails.

Northey · 15/09/2012 10:27

Ooh hello, lemmingtonspa. Yes, do make free with the salmon of soothingness.

How are you feeling?

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 15/09/2012 10:43

Clearly toe nails should be yellow or green (my niece's favourite colours and it makes your feet look ill Wink ). Yay for garden day. When will you get the results from your bloods?

Here all is relatively okay. Lovely SB bought croissants and nice things for brekkie and booked a weekend away in October. Sometimes he's a star. And I am just a bloody monster. Better than yesterday but only just. Really hope to be able to go out and have a modicum of fun today. Otherwise I'll be here!

Northey · 15/09/2012 10:53

I did actually buy some lovely sunny yellow varnish in the Accessorize sale last year. Put it on, admired, then caught a casual glimpse of my feet in the swimming pool and realised they looked like they belonged to an old man with a fungal infection. Every so often I look longingly at the pretty sunshiney bottle. But no. Never again.

SB sounds rather nice. Where is he taking you?? We are off to the coast next weekend. Not glamorous, but should hopefully be a cobweb-clearing break.

Results should be back late afternoon.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 15/09/2012 11:07

To be fair, he booked the train (to Paris :) ) with his credit card, and the hotel with mine... But it is the thought that counts and we'd decided to get some more romantic trips away in before the bean would arrive. So now the bean is post-poned, we might as well do the boozy weekends while we can...

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 15/09/2012 11:09

Shame you already know about the disaster of yellow nail polish, I'd love somebody else to look silly for a while. You try to say "NO" to a 3-year old.

Fingers crossed for the results this afternoon!

sinkyroselee · 15/09/2012 12:58

Good luck norf

Hello driz. I like being kept on the loop.

I fell foul of nail polish with a lovely summery blue, that made me look dead/cyanotic and a lovely pale pinky ivory type that made me look, well, dead. Neither great.

Am at work. Cycled, and brought healthy lunch, but just found stash of someone else's jammy dodgers which I'm working my way through. Much happier.

Hope soft play/naughty dogs/holibobs planning all proving to make good weekend activities.

Am off tomorrow, but have agreed to play rugby. Wtf was I thinking? Norf, convince me this is a good idea!

Northey · 15/09/2012 13:39

Umm, well, it will probably be fun once you get going And very healthy.

HaveALittleFaith · 15/09/2012 14:15

I have always avoided rugby on the fact that I bruise like a peach. But yes, it'll be loads of fun Hmm

We are at the pub/inn place where we had our wedding for lunch in glorious sunshine. Very pleasant! :)

Hope it's all ok norf.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 15/09/2012 15:45

Any news yet, norf? Fingers crossed!

Well done on being exceedingly healthy sinky. I bailed out of exercise today, but I did leave the house. A walk with my favourite little person, culminating in a shopping spree at boots. SB is lovely but he is scared of the properly big pads Wink

Your day sounds lush faif.

Oh and now I am home and bored. And you are all off having exciting lifes Envy

Northey · 15/09/2012 15:49

I'm putting off phoning for the results, lem... I think I am happier in ignorance.

I did lots of vigorous arboriculture in the garden, involving long-handled loppers and stuff, and am now shattered. Sitting in the sun with some nice historical fiction. No bodices ripped yet, but I live in hope.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 15/09/2012 15:57

What is it you're scared of? HCG still high? What would be the plan, then? Am here to hold your hand if necessary. Very sorry though, it is such SHIT. Well done on the molesting trees and on the hope of bodices ripping :)

PS The big pads are lush (but SB really would not be able to buy them, in some things he is a big sissy).

Northey · 15/09/2012 16:04

Yes, hcg not having fallen by the 15% necessary to avoid another methotrexate shot. If I have to have another, that's 6 months off ttc and I will have had another birthday by the time I can start again (always stressful in the fertility game). I'm also absurdly worried that it might have actually risen instead (I have nothing to base this fear on), in which case what if they want to treat by operating again??

Northey · 15/09/2012 16:05

SB is being a wuss. But as he booked a holiday to Paris earlier I suppose he can be let off.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 15/09/2012 16:09

Well I am crossing everything for a nice big HCG drop (I am a specialist in quick drops by the feeling of things Wink) so that you can get back on the horse ASAP. Although please wait for your tube to be properly fixed this time, ok?!

Birthdays are shit in the TTC game. Spring is going to be quite difficult for me, birthday and the EDD a month apart. Really hope we can get me diffed again before then, but not that hopeful since this one took more than 2 years and a fair bit of help to materialise.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 15/09/2012 16:11

Oh and yes, SB is a wuss. But a lovely one (and since he is such a wuss, I really appreciated him holding my hand through all the shitty scans and inspecting the grossness I produced without complaint - although he's threatening to take a picture if I ever go through MC again, so he can show me, when I get uncertain whether this was indeed the MC...)

Northey · 15/09/2012 16:26

Results not ready, apparently. Bah.

SB sound really very nice.

HaveALittleFaith · 15/09/2012 17:21

norf they're just slow on a Saturday. I'd be more worried if they'd rung it through urgently!

Paris sounds lush Lems and you definitely deserve it. I haven't been there since 1995 (school trip). I luffed it but if was all too brief a visit. I would luff to go as a grown up!

It was a nice lunch except for loads of wasps trying to steal my drinks! Went and watched DNephew open his presents - most excited by the Buzz Lightyear outfit - he put it straight on and now only responds to being called Buzz! I need to fall with style! Grin

Northey · 15/09/2012 17:35

Good point, *faif, I'd forgotten it was the weekend.

HaveALittleFaith · 15/09/2012 17:52

Skeleton staff in the lab because they rarely do routine blood tests on a weekend. Annoying though. You'd think they'd hurry up because you need to know your results!

FizzyFeet · 15/09/2012 18:15

Just popping in to dispense the myth that we're all living exciting lives... I'm watching Total Wipeout while GFBW wrestles a massive turbot into an oven dish.

Just read that back and it sounds like some kind of bizarre euphemism. It's not. Grin

Good skills on the horticultural hacking, norf. Vey cathartic. Hope the test results are ok.

FrankelSaysRelax · 15/09/2012 18:16

I'm watching Total Wipeout too. To be followed by SCD then Dr Who Grin

OP posts:
Northey · 15/09/2012 18:17

By the skin of my teeth! It needed to fall at least 15% (ie from 1382 to 1174) in order to avoid a second shot. It fell to 1145. As the nurse put it - not the best drop we've ever seen, but it's enough to get you through :).

Northey · 15/09/2012 18:20

I'm going to celebrate with apple pie and ice cream and SCD (even though the intro show is always crap). And then have a bath of canesten because this thrush (brought on my methotrexate and a month of bloody gunky discharge) is making me want to hack out my own vulva with a machete.

HaveALittleFaith · 15/09/2012 18:36

Probiotic yoghurt (to eat) is helpful too norf. Glad it's within the range it needed to be so hopefully you can start moving forward from this rotten business now.

Don't worry since the party this morning (which was for a 3 year old!) and lunch out I have spent most of the afternoon ok yes we did have the sechs and watching crap tv too.
