Greetings sisters [puts flowers in hair]

Bring your very best woo & let's see if we can magick up a few baybees (insta-differs not allowed).

New recruits are required to locate the BESH spell aka the BESHtionnaire and submit for further scrutiny.

It is extortionate. Apparently I have to pay £97 for the privilege of my GP coming to the maternity ward to sign off that baby and I are fit to go home. Outrageous!

JethroTull · 14/09/2012 16:02

We're going to have to pay £7k for the privilege of attempting to win a baby. Like a coconut shy only a litte more expensive....

Northey · 14/09/2012 16:34

What would they do if you just left, dor?

FriendofDorothy · 14/09/2012 17:17

I did wonder. This being guernsey they would probably phone my mum or one of my aunts!

HaveALittleFaith · 14/09/2012 18:20

I bet they'd send a bill to your home address dor!

Is that £7k total or £7k plus all the appointments and blood tests jeff? Either way Shock that's a lot of moolah!

lems I'm sorry you're going through all this :( but I guess it's good they don't have to intervene and you're over the worst of the physical now. I'm glad SB is taking good care of you. Have some Brew, Gin and [giant cupcake].

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 14/09/2012 18:23

. You poor love :(

Seven grand, Jeffers. I am turning a little green at that (and not with envy obviously).

Sorry. This was a pointless contribution.

Um....what else? I haven't drunk a drop for a week?

Northey · 14/09/2012 18:48

lem, how are you feeling now? What a horrible thing to have to go through - I'm so sorry.

blonderthanred · 14/09/2012 19:32

Belated happy birthday Bugs!

It would be an interesting turn of events if that was what the consultant did for your £190.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 14/09/2012 19:37

Fanks norf. Feeling quite pissed Wink Instead of pain killers I consumed half a bottle of wine, with bangers&mash, the ultimate comfort food. And the diffedness made me a total light weight...

I think 190 for a simple insemination would be expensive, so I hope he does something better for it.

sinkyroselee · 14/09/2012 19:51

Welcome to your glorious 30's bugs

What are we thinking the extras might be?! A party hat?

I applaude your new analgesic efforts lem. I've had a glass of wine after a looooong day a work with only a yogurt for lunch and feeling a bit pissed.

You'll all be delighted to hear that the ol'ewcm has passed (passed your way fsr?). God only knows what that was all about...

sinkyroselee · 14/09/2012 19:52

Eep. fizzy, not fsr. Apologies. Esp to fsr, passing on ewcm is a bit grim..

FriendofDorothy · 14/09/2012 20:09

Heheh my local hospital is on the TV. A new series called "Island Hospital".

Basically we are people spotting!

Northey · 15/09/2012 06:19

Well well well. All this time I thought you lived on the Isle of Wight.

jethro that is a horrid amount of money! What does it include?

Why are you avoiding booze, aries? Is it a special ttc thing? Or just that it is too much effort to go and buy any?

Northey · 15/09/2012 06:20

And bugs, this is a reputable clinic, isn't it?

sinkyroselee · 15/09/2012 07:58

Morning peeps.

That is all.

HaveALittleFaith · 15/09/2012 08:07

Morning sinkers! How are you?
My Dsis rang me at 7.40....SIBU! But it's DNephew's birthday party at a soft play centre. Should be fun but MSB is grumpy cos he has to work. He's had two calls about new jobs so hopefully it's onwards and upwards!

bugs your imaginings remind me of this weird tv movie I saw on channel 5 where the consultant was offering IVF and it turned out he either used his own swimmers! They sued at the end, most bizarre. He had a squint (that's how they realised) so have a good look at your consultant's peepers! I'm sure that won't be the case with you!

Morning Hags.

Rie how are you dealing with the no booze? I'm fine if I just stay at home but hate it if I'm out or with friends Envy

7.40 Faith???!! What was the emergency?

Northey the money was for blood tests, HIV, Hepatitus, (£140 each), Chlamydia test? (£50) & £315 for me to have a karyotype report.
How are you feeling today?

JethroTull · 15/09/2012 08:40

Xpost Bugs - when is your appointment?

HaveALittleFaith · 15/09/2012 08:43

It was to see if I needed a lift to the party Hmm I'm not pleasant when you wake me from slumber! Been awake ever since!

bugs I think he may vomit Envy yuck! I can understand why you'd rather go private now and hopefully boost your chances with your next pregnancy than wait for it to go wrong just so you can get the referral. Totally logical (and bless your Mum!).

Northey · 15/09/2012 08:53

But what was the £7k for? That's the figure that's making me look glumly at my savings and equity and shit.

bugs, I think he will just be a sorrier and wiser dog for a while. Tell him gravely that you are very disappointed in him and then just make sure he doesn't vom anywhere it's a pain to clean up.

Northey · 15/09/2012 08:54

Am waiting in the hospital for my first post-methotrexate blood test, cacking myself slightly in case it hasn't worked.

fertilityFTW · 15/09/2012 09:08

Morning.
Still pg I think, no symptoms though aside from cramping and now that's freaking me out. I think I'm going to go through this whole thing as a paranoid psycho type . Very grim faced doctor at fertility clinic confirms diffedness but launches into 1 in 4 MC statistic, risk factor conversation, so I'm really petrified. But will scan in a few weeks, says will know more then. I feel like I shouldn't get excited in case it goes awry, so instead I seem to be getting morose expecting the worst.
Hope all's well at your appt. norf
Just fished fuckthewhatdog out of grumpy neighbour's garden, where it's undoubtedly gone and crapped somewhere discreet. Frick. Grave disappointment at doggers across the board.

JethroTull · 15/09/2012 10:05

The £7k is for the drugs, IVF / ICSI & this Array CGH test on the embryos if I get that far. I am v lucky as SSG bought his house when he was 17 along with an endowment that he still has. That's what's paying for the big gamble.

FTW & Bugs must be the day for naughty dogs, our NewDog has been told off this morning for biting my feet & chewing my flip flop!

FTW sorry you are having a shitty time & sending you some sticky thoughts.

Faith enjoy the party Grin

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 15/09/2012 10:15

Keeping stuff crossed for FTW's sticky bean. FWW people at our clinic were incredibly upbeat about the failed bean (because I had good hcg numbers) so don't take their comments at face value. Hide and burrow in here until the worst part is over.

Also norf I really hope your hcg is finally dropping/gone. Have some prods with the salmon of soothingness I just wrestled off you is it okay if I pop it in the oven with some fresh herbs and roasted potatoes?

Shock at your prices jethro. That is overly expensive.

I totally understand bugsie and wonderful of your mum to help out. Fingers crossed the next one will be convinced to stick I've had two friends with recurrent MCs, both of whom carried to full term with progesteron support in early pg, so maybe that will do the trick for you too, I really hope so

Have fun at soft play centre faif cannot think of anything worse, even though I luff my nephews

And of course: GOOD MORNING to sinky. How's you?
