maybe pregnant might test today.

I'm not ttc although have been having unprotected sex with boyf, af now one day late. don't think we did it day 14 but I'm not sure when I ovulate.

last week i had strange stomach pain and a bit of nausea and I don't normally get stomach pain before af so two days before i was due af i did a boots preg test and it was clearly bfn.

I feel like i'm going to come on in fact sorry tmi but keep checking cuz feel wet lot of cm.

also I have been extremly emotional hysterical in fact! feel very vunverable things are stressful for me at the mo but am reacting v. hormonally.

sorrry am going on a bit but shall i test today? and has anyone else had these sympoms and turn out to be preg? would the boots one have picked it up it did say test from day of missed af but i was too eager to know.

hi there. when i got pg (im 8 weeks on monday) i had convinced myself that i wasnt because i felt like af was going to arrive. i felt tired and dizzy quite a bit but didnt think anything of it. we were ttc but had ruled the month out...i was wrong lol. hormones all over the place...check! you sound like you very well could be...would it be a happy surprise???

regarding the tests, some are very sensitive. and if your af is late, then theres a good chance it would work anyway...first morning wee is best, but i didnt use first morning and i had bfp..all be it fait, followed by another 4 to make sure lol. HTH and good luck if u test

Thanks I do have a felling I might be I have a 9 month old dd, so timing isnt great also having major probs with boyf, so don't know if i'll be a single mum.
in a way i would be happy but i would like boyf to be with me.
v. confused don't think I could have a termination myself although I am pro choice.
with 1st pregnancy i tested on day af was due with clear blue and got bfp so I might try clear blue afgain.

im sorry to hear that you are having some problems....it must be a difficult situation for you (if you are pg, of corse) and i really hope that it all works out for the best. please be sure to let me know what happens, and if u need a chat or a rant, then just post :)

errrr, me23 I would say having unprotected sex WAS ttc!!!!!!

Have to say what with everything that's going on for you right now, your period COULD be delayed by stress, it happened to me in the past.....good luck anyway, will you do the test do you think?

If you do it later today and can't wait until the morning then try to not drink for a long time before doing it, (like 4 hours), to make your wee more concentrated.

thanks everyone, sparklemagic I know! have been very silly! we both have my and boyf I mean not you!
I guess it could be stress.
I will test today, thing is im quite excited at the prospect of being pregnant even though the timing is wrong.
I know that may sound stupid. considering my circumstances.
shall i go for clear blue or first resonse?
oh and congratulations wuzzlefuzzle, thanks for offer of support, were you ttc for long?

Good luck with the outcome My sister got pregnant when her 1st was 9 months and she has managed fine. 18 month age gap is quite common. I think the digital tests are best as they leave you in no doubt as they clearly say 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant' Isn't it great of nature to make PMT symtoms and when you're first pregnant symptoms exactly the same!!

I will have to move if i am live in 1 bed flat.
im only a day late so could be nothing, will have a look in boots for test when i go out in a bit. dont know if can afford the digital one.
also last night i could not sleep and kept going loo for wee thought it might be cystitis but dont have it today.

ok, my thoughts are with you me23. try not to get too worried and make sure u let us all know xox its bound to be a confusing and stressful ordeal for you and im sure that you'll know what to do and you have us lot to talk to if and whenever u need us :)

If you're going through a hard time in your relationship it's possible that the stress could have delayed ovulation and therefore your Af. When people say that stress can delay AF, it's actually ovulation that it delays and the delay in Af is a consequence of that, if that makes sense? I would also opt for a digital test, or alternatively you can take a sample into your local farmacy (if you have a lloyds nearby) and they will do the test for you and it only costs £6 as opposed to approx £8 for the branded tests.

If you are pregnant and your relationship is breaking down you will find a lot of support on here, If your relationship ends things will not be easy, but I think that things happen for a reason and that if you're meant to have another baby now then that is what will happen. But if you are not pregnant then I would advise you to go and se your GP and sort out some contraception. You've said yourself that this is not the best timing, if you're not pregnant you could consider this a wake-up call, if you're currently having problems in your relationship then this is not the best time to bring a baby into the equasion imo. i tested with clear blue it was neg. thing is tmi hardly any wee came out and it wasnt 5 seconds although the line in the control box came up.
ive bought a first response test, dont know whther to wait till morning or do iot now.

wait till morning, as the levels of hormone would be stronger in your first morning wee. and start being more careful - don't assume that because you think you are PG, that there's no point bothering to take precautions iyswim. there's all sorts of weird cold and tummy bugs around atm, so could just have been a mild tummy bug making you nauseous.

hope you are ok me23 as TBB has said, it is posible that it could be just a tummy bug or something, and if you're at all stressed then that could have an effect on delaying af. as ive said before, i hope that u get the result that you want xxx

hi, I'm ok, stupidly I did the 1st response test 2 hours after the clear blue one. I should have waited till this morning. It's still bfn although according to the leaflet it shows a line in the wrong place mine was. Any used 1st response?
on the diagram it say reagent and points to a pink line, then it shows the result window blank, in the reagent of mine it was blank, neg line was already in the result window.
af still not here, is it possible the test havent detected it? how long should I wait to test again?

it is possible that some tests wont detect it, it all depends on how much of the pregnancy hormone it can detect, which is why its better to use the first morning wee. although i do know how horibly tempting it is to use every test in sight asap. i didnt use 1st response so i cant really help you on that part of it. this time i was very weepy, i also get very angry so dh avoids me (im a right bitch!)

Hi, can I have some advice too please? I came off the pill in October and had a period 38 days later. My last period was 45 days after that and I should have come on on Saturday (if my cycle stays at 45 days) but I still haven't. Today is day 51.

I took a clearblue test on Wednesday morning which was negative.

Obviously I don't know when I was ovulating (if I was at all) and I don't feel pregnant at all.

I just wondered if people think my body is still 'settling down' after the pill or if it could be something else. I'm keeping as healthy as I can, I'm not stressed, I don't smoke etc so I can't understand this absence!

I did feel like I was going to come on - I had back pain and a bit of cramp just before the weekend but nothing!

Please help!

Decafgirl - I would say it sounds like 'settling down' I would wait a few more days and re-test. I had a similar situation and it was just because I came off the pill but...you never know! I hope you get the result you want.
