Welcome to betty and hugs for almond. That was true li insensitive re your friend... What a biatch..

Fx we will get baby dancing tonight and maybe thrs and Saturday. May or may not be the right times but don't see the point in forcing things as I reckon your body knows its being had!

Hooray for summer babies! x

YorkshirePeanut · 25/09/2012 15:07

Hi all, may I join in?

Had a MMC at the beginning of August, started TTC again straight away once we had the all clear from the scan...and have now been doing the 2ww for, erm...6 weeks! AF clearly not wanting to show her face, I've got a doc's appointment in a couple of days to see if he can fire up the engine. Am a bit worried just because I've never had a proper cycle so don't know what to expect, convinced I'm broken!

Had a wee read through this thread, you all sound great and even though it's rubbish that we're all here I can't help laughing at some of the posts so hopefully you can help me recover my sense of humour when I get a bit too babyzilla.

Oh and I've never heard the term baby dancing before, but I love it and am going to steal it for my own! xxx

littlepinkfizz · 25/09/2012 15:25

Welcome peanut! Yes it's a place where we can all obsesses and symptom spot and confess to poas a ridiculous amount of times. We can discuss things we wouldn't dare mention to DP for fear of instant divorce!in other words we can let it all out with shared cadburys chocolate eclairs. Not good for the fillings but comfort for the soul![ grin]

DachsandPup · 25/09/2012 16:12

Hello

Can I join? I have had a somewhat chequered TTC history - had my first MC in 2010 having been trying for 10 years, then did IVF and got pg with twins, who I lost at 20 weeks and then had another go and now have a 5 month old daughter :)

We decided to try again and see if anything happened naturally and then last month I got a surprise BFP that sadly ended up being a chemical pg :( Still, we are hoping that it might be possible to get pg again so we are trying and I am currently on day 14 and DTD a lot to try to catch the egg - OPKs never work on me as my surge is so short but I think I ov around day 14 as I got my positive pg test on day 21 last month, having not had a positive opk...

babyjamesblackberrycrumble · 25/09/2012 16:33

Welcome Peanut and Dachsand sorry for your losses. There are some lovely ladies on here which I for sure have found offered some sound advice and support over the last month.
Peanut I hope that your GP will be able to get to the bottom of your missing AF mystery. Have you tested recently?
Dachsand so glad you have a beautiful baby DD after such a difficult journey to get there. FX that now all is working as it should. Although it must be heartbreaking to have another loss after you have already been through so much it at least gives hope that a natural conception can be achieved.
I wish you both well Bear
Enjoy your "Baby Dancing" fizz Sounds a good plan to keep things relaxed. This TTC has sent me looney this month and the pressure def got to my DH!

GoldPedanticPanda · 25/09/2012 16:47

Oh my gosh, you shouldn't drink diet coke while pg???? Shock

I've drank loads, with my last pg which ended in mc and this one! I even got the caffeine free diet coke so I could drink more and still keep my caffeine intake down.

I feel so guilty now, could that be the reason I mc last month? Could I have caused any problems with this pg?

kittykatskumkwat · 25/09/2012 17:03

Panda don't stress!!!
I drank loads of diet coke with dd and my sis had bucket loads with her last pregnancy and things were fine, caffeine free obviously better then normal it's just I had heard bad reports about what asparitine can do and after 2 consecutive mc just want to think I've eliminated any doubts I had about those things iyswim
I had heard it before and paid no heed but now if it's something I can try I want to know I did rather then think might that have helped?!
( in all truth though I know a healthy bean will survive and that 99% of times there's nothing you could do differently)
Welcome newbies, sorry to hear about your late losses dach, how truly awful, I think pregnancy can make you more fertile ( defiantly has for me) so fx you will get a sticky bean soon and as my mum says just think of the positive that a) it happened and b) it would be v early to be having another if dd is only 5 months, mine was 8 originally when I had my first and looking at it now it would be very difficult with one at 15 months and a newborn, they change and grow so quick, enjoy every second of giving her undivided attention.
Im abit worried I've overdone it today, still trying to give dd normal fun etc so at children's group throwing her up in the air and carried her there and back, I'm always bent over and lifting her as she's just learnt to walk but what can you do? That another thing I fear that I do too much lifting etc and maybe that's been detrimental?

kittykatskumkwat · 25/09/2012 17:06

Oh and peanut hope you get that af soon ( or you are pregnant allready) these long cycles are so frustrating when your TTC

YorkshirePeanut · 25/09/2012 17:25

baby yes I tested yesterday...and this morning haha! No go on the pink lines, I was convinced I saw two lines for a second but turns out it was just me being totally mental. Again Smile So definitely not pregnant kitty ...unless sperm and egg are getting to know each other a little better as we speak!

fizz sounds good! although if I told anyone how many times I've poas in the last week my bank manager would be round for a stern word on frivolous spending...

woody17 · 25/09/2012 20:31

Evening everyone.

Well I have made a few decisions today. I've decided to completely cut out caffeine (well apart from chocolate). I drink diet coke a lot and used to drink an awful lot of diet red bull. I used to drink diet red bull instead of eating when I was going through a very stressful time at work. I haven't drunk it much for ages (and obviously don't drink it at all when I'm pg) but it feels good to do something that might help me next time. I don't drink tea or coffee regularly so I wont miss that either.

I'm not going to stop drinking alcohol completely but I am going to try and cut out the binges I tend to have on nights out that always end up being really messy with jagerbombs, tequila slammers, apple sourz...

I've also made appointments to see a nutritionist (next Thursday), a homeopath (Thursday) and a acupuncturist (Friday). They all work at the same place and work together to help you and come up with a plan of action. So I'm hoping that this helps as well.

I feel really positive about all of this. I know that it'll probably make no difference but I think it's helping me feeling like I'm taking action - I don't know if that makes sense.

suzy how do you feel about your friend's email? You know what feels right for you.

Hope you got your results and that everything is ok messtins

littlepinkfizz my DH has always hoped for a summer baby as he thinks it would be nice for them to have Christmas and their birthday spread out over the year!

Hi yorkshirepeanut and dachsandpup- I'm sorry that you've had to join us but I've found this thread has really helped me. I can talk about things that I just can't talk to people about in RL.

yorkshirepeanut Have you been to see your GP? He might be able to give you some answers. I shudder to think at the amount I've spend on pg tests! When I was pg last week, I was getting through 2 CB digital tests A DAY!

Panda Don't worry at all - there are no definite links, I am just desperate to do anything I can that might help. You can drink a few cans a day and still be in the ok amount of caffeine each day. Hope you are feeling ok.

Hope you are ok kitty I think that your bean will be well protected but if you are worried, you could maybe ask your GP or midwife?

Anyway, sorry for the long post. I've got Great British Menu on record so I'm going to go and watch that. Does anyone on here watch it? I think I'd like Kathryn to win, definitely not Brendan!

kittykatskumkwat · 25/09/2012 20:49

Woody I think positivity has a big impact so I think if it makes you feel better/ take control you will feel better when you get that bfp

messtins · 25/09/2012 20:59

That all sounds very positive woody hope it gets the desired results.

Got all my results back at once (unusually efficient for the NHS). HCG still high but not worryingly so, I have to do either another HPT and get a negative or go back yet again for another blood test. Will try a home test again, I am black and blue as it is. Swabs all clear, TORCH test shows I am long term immune to parvovirus and rubella but not toxoplasma. Nothing on any of the tests that could have caused the recent MC. Hoping for a negative preg test soon (not often I say that!) and then I can have a clean slate to try again.

YorkshirePeanut · 25/09/2012 21:09

Woody, the digital ones are the worst, because then you have to keep peeing to see when it changes! Oh dear I must have spent a fortune. Although I don't like using them to see if I have a BFP because then I can't kid myself that I can see a line! Have you ever taken one apart? (I have, because I get a little bit possessed when its time to poas) They've just got a normal strip inside them with the lines on! Ripoff!

I'm going to see the doctor on Thursday. Right after I've finished writing these essays about...er...pregnancy. Not helping my mood!

MunchinMango · 25/09/2012 21:10

Oh dear i'm another diet coke / Pepsi max aholic!!!! When I'm pg diet 7up is usually all that helps ms but on my mc I had started swapping it for Pepsi max!!!

Welcome yorkshire and dach, sorry you find yourselves here but as everyone agrees this is a great place to get support and advice.

littlepinkfizz · 25/09/2012 21:26

Yes peanut I know what you mean about the lines! At least you can half fool yourself with the possible squinty promise of a line whereas the digital is final!,

woody you are an inspiration and so determined.feel like breaking into song.. [ I got knocked down, but I get up again, ain't nothing gonna keep me down]
C'mon join in all...

dasch welcome and so sorry for your terrible experiences but fx you'll get a sticky BFP with the rest of us.

kitty hope your still sticking in there and not worrying too much bout diet coke

Waves to babyjames yes do promise of Dtd tonight now postponed til tomorrow.. again. Fx for tomorrow then! Did feel annoyed then shook myself and said as I often do,que sera ,sera

BettyFlutterbly · 25/09/2012 23:46

Woody I think you are doing really well at getting yourself through this tough time. Feeling fit and healthy is great for your mind as well as for when you get pg again.
I think my mc was similar to yours, I had really faint lines that didn't get darker and something just didn't feel right.
I had cramps but they didn't worry me as I had them when I was pg with dd and it was a healthy pregnancy (so don't worry about cramps girls).

I hate this 2ww. All I can think about is poas!! I have some internet hpts and they are calling my name already. I am only 2dpo!!!

BettyFlutterbly · 25/09/2012 23:49

Btw there are so many posts to comment on but it takes me ages as I'm using my phone. I'm not being rude!

Lolcbcblemonlime · 26/09/2012 07:13

Morning. Slept like a log, for almost 10 hours. Another day in the Coventry head office so hopefully cd3 will be over soon.
Sorry for not commenting on posts as I'm also on phone.
I drink a can of coke zero every day and the doc told me it was ok as I don't drink tea or coffee.
I'm talking evening primrose oil for the second month and have also made a few changes since mc. Main one is no ready meals for lunch. I'm now taking my own food into work.
I know what u mean by making changes to feel u are doing something!
Have a good day all

babyjamesblackberrycrumble · 26/09/2012 07:44

BFN for me today :(

messtins · 26/09/2012 08:04

Boo for BFNs babyjames Any chance you are just too early?

Lolcbcblemonlime · 26/09/2012 08:12

Oh no baby Sad I feel your pain. How many dpo?

littlepinkfizz · 26/09/2012 08:33

Ah no babyjames. Maybe you just tested too early. Thinking of you x

YorkshirePeanut · 26/09/2012 09:24

Oh no baby. What messtins and fizz said - maybe too soon? xxx

YorkshirePeanut · 26/09/2012 09:28

Oh and lol what does evening primrose oil do? Just nosy!

GoldPedanticPanda · 26/09/2012 10:50

Sorry baby, that's crap. But maybe as other poster have said, you've tested too early?

Thanks woody and kitty, I had a bit of a hormone fuelled freak out after I read that, but have calmed down now :o

I'm not feeling as tired anymore, I'm hoping its just because I've been taking folic acid (my iron levels are typically low anyway) so that's perked me up a bit, and not anything to do with pregnancy hormone levels dropping or anything. Last 2 pregnancies haven't made it past about 8 weeks and I'm 6 weeks just now, so am getting nervous.

I had a dream last night that my last mc was some sort of mistake and actually I hadn't mc but had been pregnant all along, so had the baby earlier than was expected and didn't have anything for him, clothes, a buggy or anything, but came straight online to tell you all here about my news! I'm not sure if me now dreaming about this thread means I'm spending too much time online.
