How much help are the opk's? I mean if we Dtd when we get the smiley,is there a really good chance we will conceive?

How many of you have got a BFP after using an opk correctly and how many haven't?.

Pink- its a tool to help but isn't a guarentee, the days before smiley I think are quite fertile too which you won't know however if you use them for a few months you probably will find its the same day or there about so aim around that time anyway!
I like them though and if you are quick they were selling the best ones cb digi in morrisons for £3.17!! Believe me they are never this price!!! Normally £15
I've always used and liked them but I like them for knowing when I don't need to dtd like after I get one I probably stop a 3 days after

Hi littlepinkfizz I never really used them to be honest. I bought some just over my mc and used them for a few days but I found that they made me a bit obsessive about did and getting angry when we didn't on a particular day because DH was too tired.

Saying that, I had just bought a CB fertility monitor from amazon (it arrived on Tuesday!). All I have ever done is put my dates in the ov calculator on mumsnet and then used the dates I get from that as a rough guide and try to dtd on the first day.

I do think that the two times I've fallen pg, we have dtd a bit within those days. But to be honest, both times I think I've ov later than I thought I had.

I don't think I've been very helpful - sorry.

Today I've had some lower abdominal cramping, obviously now I'm really worried! This is quite normal though surely, as there are so many changes going on and my womb is growing, it would be expected that there would be some cramps?

I didn't cramp much when I've mc in the past so I shouldn't let this worry me too much but my mind won't stop going into over drive.

Gold I think that cramping is really normal - everything is stretching to make way for growing womb/baby.

I know exactly how you feel - I am worrying about everything.

When I mc, the cramps I had were so bad I was bent over, doubled up - they weren't like the normal early pregnancy cramps at all.

I wasn't going to use them pink as I knew my cycle would be mad but I had EWCM at day 25ish tested neg then the following morning had the I did suspect it though, so yes I did I surpose, I find I feel more Incontrol with them but it's all personal I had dtd eod to that point but would have given up the one before if I hadn't seen the smile. Had to twist dh arm for it so yes it helped me, plus I knew when I'd ovd so i could count dpo and knew when I could expect a positive and again it was right, all personal though really , it's just what's right for you

Panda I'm also having some major cramping. Not as bad a MC, but very similar to pre-AF pains, so that does worry me, but like Woody said, it could be the stretching, etc.

I've been looking online too and quite a lot of the pregnancy websites say this is common in early pregnancy, I'm taking it as a good sign as our womb's making space for a growing baby

Kitty I have been to 2 Morrisons and couldn't find the sticks :(
Really really want to be pregnant again. Think am only bout 5 days past ovulation though and really dull ache all day today in low abdemon. Not sure why but cant be good. Anyone had this?

Hi Baby, I've been having that dull ache today in my lower abdomen and had a bfp at the start of the week, I think it's just everything stretching to make room. I've been checking with tests to see if my levels have gone down but everything so far seems ok.

Hi girls, just to say that when I was pg I had a lot of crampy feelings way before the mc. These were quite wide spread across my womb. The doctor said they were normal. When things started to go wrong these changed to sharp pains in one location so I would take the pains aw ur having as normal!

Suzy & Munchin looks like we will be poas around same time! Fx we're the next batch of BFPs!

Kitty I was wondering the same about the OPKs. I haven't had a smiley yet but trying to DTD EOD just in case I miss it! Had a disaster this morning with the sticks and ended up using 3 as I kept getting an error MSG! Grrr!

I think the crampy pains are normal ladies. Fx for yous.

Almond I was been very optimistic i think and only in an idyllic normal 28 day cycle would I be testing on 10 th oct. I'd say reality will be a lot later. I'm having crampy pains all week ( must be in sympathy with our bfp ladies lol) I have tested with opk's last two days and -ve so hoping pains are my body gearing up to Ov. I don't blame you being annoyed going through 3 opk's this morning as they are expensive . Fx for smiley face soon.
