Congratulations Jessie! That's great news, this is turning into quite a lucky month. I'm thinking positive thoughts for everyone here.

woody that must have been relieving when the doctor wasn't concerned. How do you feel now?

GoldPedanticPanda · 20/09/2012 16:43

Aw munching sorry you got a bfn, I hope this cycle is the one for you.

posyplum · 20/09/2012 16:50

Sorry to hear you had a BFN Munchin but PMA for a June baby!!

And woo Jessie - am so pleased for you, and hope so much this one sticks for you! xx

Well guys, I am just finishing my period and have a question - during both my periods since mc I've had what looks like a bit of retained 'product' coming out, like I had at the end of my mc. My periods have also lasted longer than they usually do (about 7 days cf 2/3 days).

Do you think it's possible that my body is still getting rid of 'stuff'? Or do you think I am making it up and that this is in fact normal, I've just never noticed through not looking that closely before?

I know it is probably an unanswerable question, just wondered if anyone had heard of anything like this happening to anyone else?

GoldPedanticPanda · 20/09/2012 16:54

Could it be blood clots posy? You should see your doctor just incase, I had a scan after mc to make sure everything was out otherwise it can get dangerous can't it?

posyplum · 20/09/2012 17:09

Thanks Panda. When I had the scan post mc they said it had mostly come out but that there was a bit of retained products, which is probably where I have the idea from, but that was ages ago. I would have thought it would have all come out by now, and I have no pain or anything, but yeah maybe I should mention it to someone, I suppose (though I find doctors a bit useless about stuff like this...)

woody17 · 20/09/2012 17:12

I'm still feeling quite anxious but I do feel a bit better. I am pg and there's no reason why this will end in a mc and there is nothing I can do to stop it if that is what's going to happen - I don't know if that makes sense? I am just trying to be healthy, positive and take care of what's growing. I think I was worried that because brown discharge started before I got the +ve that it meant that pg was over already but dr doesn't think that at all and I don't think I'd still be getting +ve pg tests if that had happened.

posy what you are describing sounds like my afs. I think that if it is different for you, it is probably worth going to see GP. Did you have a scan after your mc to check everything?

woody17 · 20/09/2012 17:17

Sorry posy crossed posts.

I would go to GP. When I had the scan to confirm mc, they said that all the linings of my womb were back to normal and there was nothing there but even so, my first af started off with quite a lot of 'bits' (sorry for tmi). I think if you are worried, you should go to your GP.

woody17 · 20/09/2012 17:19

munchin sorry you got a BFN. Could you be testing too early? I was getting BFN up to Saturday and then from Monday night was getting BFP. Feel bad now because I drank at the wedding I went to on Saturday as I assumed I wasn't pg as I'd starting spotting and had -ve tests.

posyplum · 20/09/2012 17:29

Thanks Woody. I've just done a bit of googling and think it sounds like it might be normal for periods to be slightly heavier/more bitty for the first few months. I'm going to make an appt for my daughter anyway so might mention it while I'm there (I know that's terrible practice, but I don't want to make an appt just for this as I will feel like a fool when they say 'it's nothing go away!')

I think I'm just clutching at straws anyway, trying to find an excuse not to have a BFP yet, ha ha.

I'm glad you're feeling more positive. There is definitely no reason this can't be your sticky bean!

Oh and don't worry about drinking last weekend either - my midwife told me that you have a few weeks leeway until that starts mattering! Something to do with when the placenta kicks in (I have forgotten the exact science!)
xx

woody17 · 20/09/2012 20:10

Thanks posy

That sounds like a good idea to mention it when you are at the GP's with your daughter.

I am stressing out tonight about pg tests. I keep doing them to check I'm pregnant (keep getting 'pregnant 1-2 weeks') with CB digital, no matter what time of day I do them. But I did a tesco own brand cheap test tonight and the line was definitely there but it wasn't as dark as the other line. I'm being stupid - I remember when I was pg the last time, the line wasn't really really dark and I was sure that I was pg and I was and everything was developing fine at that point. But this time, I seem to be looking for signs that things are going wrong...

Actually writing this has made me remember that last time I posted on here about whether almost invisible lines meant I was pg and took it that I was! How things have changed!

kittykatskumkwat · 20/09/2012 21:23

Woody put the sticks down, atleast for a while. I totally understand where your comming from as I was nutty last month but number 1 the digi are only accurate based on fmu, it says that in instructions and as you only got a positive Monday it will be atleast 4 more days before they say any different plus your levels only double every 2 days so every day won't tell you that much, that and as you are at the beginning they will be going up by such a small amount that it will take a long time to see a significant difference- when I did a digi last month it picked it up at 10hcg ( I know because I had bloods 2 days later and was only 20) so if you've gone from 10-20 then 20-40 it's still such a low amount!!
I know why you feel you need to but I think if you want to see its progressing go by bloods or leave a substantial time between testing, I'm only saying it as I don't want you spending all night and day trying to analyse something which really can't be interpreted at this stage much ( that and spending hundreds poas)
Just take it now as your pregnant poas won't change the outcome Grin

woody17 · 20/09/2012 21:31

Thank you kitty - I am going to stop stressing and expecting things to go wrong so much. There is no reason why it should. You are right - I am pg and testing every day is not going to change that. Also, if I ov late then I might be even earlier on in the pg then I think and CB digital may stay on 1-2 weeks for a big longer.

Got blood tests tomorrow and Monday as Dr thought it would help put mt mind at rest.

Thank you - it really helps having people on here to talk to!

GoldPedanticPanda · 20/09/2012 21:36

What is fmu?

woody17 · 20/09/2012 21:50

First morning urine! Smile

MunchinMango · 20/09/2012 21:53

It's first morning urine Panda.

Thanks ladies for all encouragement. I just have to keep trying or give up. But don't think I'm there yet. woody what dpo did you start getting +ve just out of interest and I'm not clutching at straws here. Lol. I agree with kitty stop poas, maybe just once a week to see digital test change weeks. It will cost you a small fortune otherwise and still not give you much reassurance.

GoldPedanticPanda · 20/09/2012 21:54

Thanks Smile, I agree with holding back on the tests. I almost bought some more today but tested last night again so am forcing myself to wait until after the weekend until I poas again otherwise I'd just torture myself (and my bank balance) constantly checking.

woody17 · 20/09/2012 21:56

I know I've been getting through 2 cb digital a day since Tuesday -eek.

To be honest, I have no idea what dpo I am. I wasn't really paying much attention to it on holiday and we were dtd a lot so I think I sometimes get by confused by what comes out after that, if that makes sense

Do you think the dpo could affect tests?

MunchinMango · 20/09/2012 22:02

Just wondering how many days for my own case and not trying to freak you out. I'm sure everyone's hcg levels increase at different rates. Tbh for me I tested positive early on my pregnancies so I'm definitely not now.

woody17 · 20/09/2012 22:04

You never know munchin you may have ov later this month? Fx for you Smile

MunchinMango · 20/09/2012 22:08

Then it would be immaculate conception as we stopped dtd!!!! Just got to get back to it lol. It worked or you.

kittykatskumkwat · 20/09/2012 22:11

I think the cb tests are more sensitive then they make out to cover their backs because they say from 25 hcg but I know I got pg 1-2 at 10 so yes if you think how long it would take to go to 200 ( the next band 2-3) 10-20,2 days 20-40, another 2, 40-80,80-160,160- you get my drift and our levels may not double they only gave to rise by I think the midwife told me 70% in 48hrs to be considered normal( I had bloods 5 times last month) so it could be a week could be 9 days they really arnt that accurate they only change date when you hit a certain colour
Its hard to say what dpo you are as you can implant at different times etc but you clearly only started getting it in your system early this week going by tests and I would say your probably only at when your af would be due now?! I figured mine would be due this weekend and I got a + on Wednesday at 11dpo
Remember as well that now you have hcg in your system even if you tested now and it had gone wrong it would still be there for a while so those tests really arnt telling you anything, the bloods will tell you for definate that things are going as they should be x

woody17 · 20/09/2012 22:21

Yes you are right. And it seems that the range of hcg in different people can be huge. Bloods will reassure me next week.

Thank you for all the support and advice-I really really appreciate it.

kittykatskumkwat · 20/09/2012 22:25

Hope it helps just don't want you getting upset and stressed for no reason , I'm sure you are fine and you have the bloods to clarify tomorrow, try to get some sleep and don't worry!!

AlmondFrangipani · 20/09/2012 22:26

I just wondered if we should do a round up to see where everyone is as I can't keep up Wink? Pg def to be added. I'll start:

Almond BFP, cycle 1 post mc, due 9th Oct (pending no more WTF cycles)

AlmondFrangipani · 20/09/2012 22:27

Arg I meant BFP due 9th Oct!!! Wishful thinking...
