TTC after recent MC

What make are you using Almond I have only used the digital ones so not sure on others. U can use the CB digital with FMU.

I think have only just ovulated! Going to be a very very long 2 weeks! Please feel free to distract me!

Hi Baby

I am using a mix of clear blue ones that have the 2 lines and Boots own versions which are the same. I have got a few back up CB digital ones. I think they say you can use the CB ones anytime of the day but not sure on the Boots ones. I may switch to doing them first thing!

I have resorted to major distraction techniques since my mc. Mainly filling every evening with some task. Most recently I have joined St Johns Ambulance! I am also trying to do all the things I cant really do when pregnant. So this weekend we are going to a local music festival! That is my best tip...

Well I caved today and ended up testing again with my other FR and CB digital - both still +ve! I'm not going to keep using the FR and stressing over lines etc. I think I'll use a CB digital every 3/4 days or so, just for the next week or so. I know this is probably a stupid waste of money but I think it'll make me feel better and there's no analysing the result and 'strength' of the line - it's either pg or not.

I am going to call GP tomorrow and see what they say. I think because of brown discharge I would be able to be referred to EPU again but I know it's too early yet for a scan. I think that I want to have this pg on my records though, in case things don't work out. I might ask about them testing blood but I'm not sure if they'll do this.

I am just trying to tell myself over and over that I had this brown discharge last time and everything developed fine. It was only when I actually started bleeding (and enough to need a pad) that things went wrong.

almond with tesco ov sticks I had, they said not to use FMU but other brands seem fine with it.

I definitely found that keeping busy after mc helped and going on holiday came at exactly the right time - it really took my mind of what had happened. There were some bittersweet moments when I thought about what could have been but overall, it helped me think about other things than ttc.

Woody can u self refer to EPU? Mine lets u pop in if u are worried, especially after mc.
How many weeks do u think u are now?

Woody great news about the +ve! I think that is a good plan about the digital tests. You can get them at a good price on eBay and dont fret about the cost. I would be exactly the same and it is better to have some sort of piece of mind.

I am going to switch to FMU and see how I get on!

I will see if my DH will take me to Oz for 3 weeks. It is clearly the best way to get pg !

Hi lolcbcb I think I'm just under 5 weeks so it's too early really. I don't think I'd want to be scanned for another 2 weeks or so. If GP doesn't refer me, I might give them a call and see what they say.

Hi Lol glad to see you had a lovely holiday! I would love some warmth now as I am not enjoying the chilly mornings!! I am on CD11 today. I am hoping for a + on the OPKs in the next few days but just depends on my cycle getting back to 'normal'. This will be my 2nd one since the mc and I am hoping its not another WTF!! Fingers crossed for a BFP for you! Did you DTD lots at the right time??

Pregnancy is worrying after a MC all inosence gone. Really good that so many have had BFP though :)
Going to have to plan is some distracting I think. I'm already symptom spotting and only a few days fast ovulation!!! *Almond I went to the ST John Ambulance from about aged 10-18. Learned a lot of useful life long skills. Of to work now and drop mr grumpy pants (DS) to his Grandmas.

Yes I am so worried babyjames especially because my only experience of being pg is to end in mc.

And I've been having this brown spotting.

I always thought that pg would be such a happy, exciting time...but it hasn't been so far.

I am on approx 10dpo and have had horrible period pains all day . I guess that means AF is just around the corner..

I was always convinced that my period pains were just that when in fact they were exactly the same when I was pregnant. Even went to doc told him I couldn't get pregnant several years ago. My periods were a little off and I was a few days late which was perfectly normal.he told me to give him a sample but I said no way that I had terrible period pains so there was no point. He Convinced me that he needed one in any case.

When it came back a BFP I was in complete shock, so convinced I had been about the period pains.i was very embarrassed and he must have thought I was a complete idiot.... but I'd go through that embarrassment again any day!

aw okay that has given me hope! I do have the on/off tingly boobs so its not over til AF shows up I guess!

okay here goes: did a cheeky pregnancy test and got the faintest faintest bfp. I am kind of excited, but also terribly nervous, especially with these period like cramps, and I'm only 10dpo. I just don't know what to think. you're right woody I know pg is meant to be a happy exciting time, but its just too soon isn't it

Yes, it wasn't FMU and also the faint BFP showed up immediately, not after 3 minutes or anything. So I know for sure its a BFP, I just feel so... I don't know what to feel. Im terrified I'm going to start bleeding any minute. I really really want this one to stick!

Congratulations jessie that's brilliant! I am really happy for you.

Did another test last night and this morning and they were both +ve. Went to see GP today - going for a blood test tomorrow and on Monday just to check everything is ok but he seemed pretty positive about it all. He said that brown spotting is really really common and only to worry if it turns red and I'm needed to use a pad. He also said I could go to EPU for an early scan in a week or so if I wanted to but I don't think I'm going to, unless I bleed, I'm just going to assume that all is ok. I had scans last time and it didn't stop things from going wrong.

So fx that this baby will stick!

I know what you mean about feeling terrified though jessie - I am constantly knicker checking!

With the brown discharge, there is only sometimes some when I wipe. It's not constant or anything and it is only when I wipe - it's not going in my knickers or making me need to wear a pad or anything like that. I think my almost constant checking isn't helping!

Wow well done Jessie. Congrats. So that's 4 Bfps's. I really hope this vibe is catching. Hope kitty, panda and woody are still going fine.

I know how you feel suzy. I'm delighted for everyone but it does start to make you feel will it ever happen.

I did a cb digital hpt and it was bfn. So was really down yest. But today I think I had ewcm so I've decided to count the spotting I had last week as cd1 so that would put me on cd 9 now. I've ordered more opks and will start testing with them. So here's to a new cycle!!
