Panda wow - that is such great news and I am feeling a tad jealous too! Please keep on this thread and let us know how it's progressing - you give hope to everyone.

A nighttime BFP being so strong -- heck, you could be having twins!!

kittykatskumkwat · 18/09/2012 06:33

Congrats panda, I slept through all the excitement, Grin

kittykatskumkwat · 18/09/2012 07:02

Bfn for me Sad what I expected though

jessiethecowgirl · 18/09/2012 07:39

Congrats Panda on BFP!!! Definitely we were due a BFP on this thread!

Kitty perhaps its still too early to test?

I'm on 8dpo and starting to imagine symptoms, sigh. I'm always so good in the first week of the 2ww, and it goes really quick, then the 2nd week I'm analysing everything! Had tingly boobs yesterday, but none today yet, also feeling extra knackered and nauseous, but also DD has been up all night with a cold. So who knows!

jessiethecowgirl · 18/09/2012 07:40

Woody, any sign of AF?

kittykatskumkwat · 18/09/2012 08:14

It is early 10dpo but I just know I dont have any symptoms etc
I had one af between mc and pregnancy last time too, wonder if it's right that your body won't let you get pg unless it's ready

woody17 · 18/09/2012 08:15

Congratulations panda

Sorry about the BFN kitty - it might be too early to tell.

Ok, so af still hasn't arrived for me. I've only been having brown discharge (although I did have a tiny amount of dark blood in the middle of the night when I wiped. My boobs have also been feeling really sore and it's felt like they've got worse. Anyway, I decided to do a test last night as I have a lot of the internet cheapies and I've become a bit obsessed with poas. There was hardly any urine and it was almost clear as I'd been drinking so much but I thought there was something there. I've test again this morning and I've got a faint +ve on the internet cheapie. It's definitely there. It may be that I ov a lot later then I thought I did.

To be honest, I just feel really frightened. I'm already having this brown discharge and as I said there was a tiny amount of blood through the night. I'm frightened that things are going wrong already. I don't even know if I'd want early scans this time as last time, everything seemed ok and then it all went wrong.

Sorry for being so negative - I just don't know what to think. I am going to go and get some 'proper' tests this morning and see what they say.

babyjamesblackberrycrumble · 18/09/2012 08:50

Sorry for the BFN Kitty , hopefully just too early. Did you do OPK's? You could be out a few days with your dates too and hormones to low to show anything.
Woody great that you may have a positive. I understand why you are feeling so worried. Try take one step at a time and be kind to yourself. The dark blood and spotting could just be old blood or things settling in. I feeling what your saying though especially being a worrier myself at the best of times. Go get yourself some tests and we will be here to hold your hand.

Hows everyone else today? I don't work Tuesdays and last week went a little crazy with OPK's! Bit more level headed this week although think lost last chance to DTD last night as DH got stage fright as he had insisted on knowing about all the pink sticks (OPK) etc and cycle which I had purposely kept from him! Hope that's not us out for this month now. Guess my 2 week wait starts here!

kittykatskumkwat · 18/09/2012 09:07

Hi woody
Sorry your in limbo, spotting could be implantation which is why it's taken a few days to show up don't panic yet!!!
I know it's hard but I had it as have a few friends and as you don't know where you are in your cycle there's every chance it is that, we will be here for hand holding although if it is pos it probably won't get darker for a few days, it only doubles every 48hrs and If it's only just detected it you could be as low as 5-10 mlu
If you want to test again today with a better test it may give you a stronger line then it's a waiting game for 48 hrs to see if bleeding stops and line goes darker, get a 2 pack so you can compare today's with one in 48hrs, fx for you x

MunchinMango · 18/09/2012 09:17

Sorry kitty about the bfn but as others have said its prob too early. Was it an ic test or branded? I'm here with you, 2 bfns, spotting last week but still nothing except sore boobs!!

Jessie try and hang in there another few days.

Ah woody I want to congratulate you but understand totally your fear after having discharge. There is nothing can be done but just wait it out. It could be implantation bleeding? Fx for you all will settle and you can enjoy your bfp!!!

Baby remember spermies can live up to 5 days so you should be ok.

kittykatskumkwat · 18/09/2012 09:26

Thanks munchin it was a SuperDrive test but there surposed to be pretty good

kittykatskumkwat · 18/09/2012 09:27

SuperDrive?!? Super drug!!

woody17 · 18/09/2012 09:41

Well I have done a first response and a CB digital test and they are both positive.

Just feel really frightened to be honest. The discharge can't be a good sign...

Sorry for moaning. I never thought pg would be such a worrying time.

If this is a chemical pg, when will the hormone stop dropping? It must have been rising since Saturday because the FR was -ve when I tested then.

kitty I was using super drug tests last week (as I'd been told that they are super sensitive!) but they didn't show anything up for me. It might be too early and I definitely think that different brands are different for different people.

kittykatskumkwat · 18/09/2012 10:23

Woody if it was a chemical alot of people find they test negative before the bleeding, if not then the line would be faint and not rise at this point anymore
Is there still spotting, my sugestion would be to wait 48hrs and see what happens but the other alternative is to book an appointment at gp and they may take bloods, you will still have to do repeats in 48hrs but it is more accurate and will be registered ect
Try not to worry though as aparently breakthrough/ implantation is extremely common but I know what it feels like as I was the same last month and it was hell not knowing what the outcome would be
Try to remain positive though as that's the best thing you can do

woody17 · 18/09/2012 10:29

Thanks kitty. There is only really a tiny amount of discharge when I wipe.

I think I will phone dr tomorrow and see what they say.

Last time when I had to go to EPU, they weren't really concerned by brown discharge. It was when there was quite a bit of blood and very bad cramping that they were more concerned, if that makes sense.

I am going to try and be more positive. Just feel really frightened. The uncertainty is horrible.

jessiethecowgirl · 18/09/2012 12:53

Oh woody what a stressful time! We are all here for hand holding. As others have said, its hard, but just waiting it out really is the only thing right now to do. Brown discharge can be totally normal, and you might be absolutely fine! But its true it can also mean something else. Just take care of yourself, test every 48 hours or so to see if still +, and if spotting turns to bright red/heavy bleeding, similar to AF, then maybe call EPU, etc. Btw, how far along did the CB digital say you were?
Ugh yes this uncertainty is horrible, but we're all here for you and thinking of you! Fingers crossed hun!

GoldPedanticPanda · 18/09/2012 13:50

Thanks again everyone, I feel like I can't get excited though incase it doesn't work out again.

kitty it's still quite early, maybe test again in a few days? My cycles are usually quite short, about 22 - 24 days so that may be why I've got a +ve earlier.

woody you should stick to one particular test and then maybe you could test ever 24/48 hours to check your levels. The Lloyds chemist own brand tests are sensitive, you can test 4 days before AF is due and they're cheap too, a lot cheaper than CB. There's no blood so try and stay hopeful xx

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 18/09/2012 14:10

woody I think pandas idea is pretty good, keep testing with the same test (hopefully it will get stronger).
My experience with chem pregs is that the bleeding only starts when the tests have gone negative for a day or two. I had brown discharge with dd and all was fine. We're here for you.

suzydelarosa · 18/09/2012 14:23

hi- just to add my two bits... with both my early m/cs I didn't get any further than '1-2 weeks' on the digital pg test... even though days and then weeks went by clearly by HCG wasn't increasing.

So if you're really worried start doing the digital tests every 2-3 days and hopefully by next week it would have increased and jumped to 2-3 weeks and then, eventually, 3+ weeks.

I know some GPs will test your hormone levels (through reg blood tests) - this is common in the USA but not so much in the UK... would probably have to see someone private to get it tested regularly.

posyplum · 18/09/2012 14:48

Oh Woody congrats on your positive, I am sorry you are having such a worrying time. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Let us know how you get on.

Panda congrats on your BFP too - so pleased for you!

xx

kittykatskumkwat · 18/09/2012 19:44

Hi woody how are you feeling? X

woody17 · 18/09/2012 20:20

Thank you everyone - it really helps to be able to talk to people about it on here.

I am feeling ok - trying to be positive and not assume the worst.

I think that I will test again with the FR on Thursday and see if the line has got darker and use the other CB digital at the weekend and see if the weeks are increasing.

I am also planning on calling the GP tomorrow and see what they say. I might try and see if they will test the HGC levels in my blood so I know for definite if things are progressing at this point.

It's just so hard not to worry...

littlepinkfizz · 18/09/2012 20:26

woody congratulations!!! Hat is fantastic and gives hope to us all. On cycle 3 after mmc and getting a bit down now thinking it will ever happen. Going to start using opk Sunday and hope for best x

littlepinkfizz · 18/09/2012 20:34

Oh and panda have just spotted your bFP! Congratulations ladies! X

kittykatskumkwat · 18/09/2012 21:05

That sounds like a good idea, no point doing the digi for a while as it will only tell you the same weeks for atleast a week anyway!
The doctor should refer you for a blood test no worries x
