Hi everyone

Well af still hasn't started but I am having occasional brown discharge on and off. Having been having this since Saturday. This is how my af started last month - took about 5/6 days for the bleeding to start properly. I am feeling confused about how long my cycles are for now etc. I ended up buying a clearblue fertility monitor over the weekend from amazon (it is far too easy to end up buying things when you just have to click a few times!) so I'm hoping that will help.

I guess I should count the first day when I am properly bleeding as the first day of af? And then I'll start using the monitor then?

woody17 · 17/09/2012 11:08

Frothy I'm sorry to hear about your mc. I hope that you are getting lots of support in RL. We started ttc again immediately after mc. It just felt like the right thing to do. However, my first af after the mc made me think that my body wasn't ready. I am hoping to get pg soon. Am on 3rd cycle since mc so fx it'll happen this month. I've also been having the brown discharge for a few days before bleeding starts - I've been told to count first day of bleeding as first day of af!

Sorry your af came posy.

GoldPedanticPanda · 17/09/2012 12:04

Hey kitty, I see you're still waiting which could only be a good thing. We mc on the same day I think so if AF doesn't rear her ugly head we might be testing round about the same time.

I'm keeping everything crossed, although had no symptoms yet apart from rubbish sleep and really tired, but my dissertation 1st draft is due today so that may be why!

kittykatskumkwat · 17/09/2012 12:48

Hi panda,
Think I'm about dpo9 today but got to say I'm pretty sure im not, no symptoms and I had alot of cm last time and it just seems different this time, I'm abit depressed I feel so negative about it at this stage as it should be the exciting bit but I guess it stops the massive fall!
In terms of opk surge baby and Jessie I usually class ov as that day or the next and start counting dpo as the day after, so I had Smile on sat morning and started counting Sunday but it could be a day or so out, I think if you've had a positive sure for a few days you'd count it the day after the final one?

HazleNutt · 17/09/2012 13:21

Can i join you here? I can't find a thread I really fit in - was pregnant until last Friday, but didn't have a proper mc, just a chemical pregnancy. So nothing like some of you have experienced here. The doc said that as it was so early, we just have to jump back in the saddle, so to speak, and get on with it.

Still a bit upset though and thinking that a) there's something wrong with me/us, how come everybody else seems to be having children without difficulties left, right and centre and b) it's something I did. It's normal to think like this, right?

suzydelarosa · 17/09/2012 15:39

Welcome Hazlenutt sorry to hear about your m/c.. and a chemical pregnancy is just as upsetting as a m/c. You get your hopes up the moment that test says BFP so it's always disappointing! Everyone in their own way feels that they did something wrong i'm on mc 3 and the worst is feeling that I'm too obese/fat to carry a baby... which is nuts. I definitely need to lose weight and am trying --- so bad enough with that daily struggle but then to be told it could be the weight... urgh!

nonetheless I am soldiering on -- and excited that my holiday plans have gone all pear-shaped so I can be here for days 10-15 in my cycle. Hurrah! You know your priorities have changed when a few days at home dtd is preferable to 1 week in a luxury hotel in San Francisco. Funny! So I'll be testing in mid-October... really hoping this will be 'the one'. !

MunchinMango · 17/09/2012 17:23

Hi ladies and welcome to frothy and hazelnutt. Sorry for your losses. But hopefully we will all get that elusive bfp soon.

Great news suzy that your trip plans have changed and that it will be full steam ahead on plan dtd.

Panda and and Jessie fx for yous it's not over til AF shows up so yous never know it could be your month. Great buy on the opks kitty.

Sorry AF got you posy.

Lol holiday sounds good and enjoy the rest.

Baby yeah on getting smiley face. It does actually lift your spirits when you see it. Fx for you.

Woody my first AF after mc started that way too with about a week long of brown stuff before I think actual AF started. But this cycle I though AF was starting last wednesday but it turned out to be spotting on wed thurs and Friday and then disappeared altogether. So I guess it wasn't AF at all. So I'm like wtf???? Boobs very sore again today. I did poas on sat morning and it was bfp but I wanted to know as I went to see lady ga ga sat night and ended up having a good session. Still suffering after effects of hangover today. Anyhow woody I hope you are put out of limbo land soon one way or another.

Sorry if I haven't mentioned someone but on my phone and not so easy to scroll back.

MunchinMango · 17/09/2012 17:25

Ps I also fx got you too kitty but your name seemed to disappear from post. Bloody phone!!!

kittykatskumkwat · 17/09/2012 17:31

Did you mean bfn munchin?! Or that would be a very strange way of celebrating Smile
The spotting sounds weird though, has it gone now? Do you think if it was implantation it was too early to test? Was af due then? Do I ask to many questions? Wink
Welcome hazel nut sorry for your loss and what brings you to us

GoldPedanticPanda · 17/09/2012 19:46

Well I've went from having no symptoms to just fainting in the kitchen! After lying down in bed till my head stops spinning ive rushed over to tell you all - possible pregnancy symptom?

MunchinMango · 17/09/2012 19:58

Omg panda are you ok? When is af due? Do you suffer from low blood pressure? Is it too early to poas? Hope you are ok.

Oh kitty what am I like??? Most definitely I got a bfn!!!!!! Not a mad woman who goes on a rip of drink to celebrate!!!! Just shows you my state of mind today. Well I got my smiley opk on cd 30, spotting started on cd 37 for three days and only during day none at night and I tested on cd 40 and got a bfn and today is cd 42!!! Don't want to indulge too much in the implantation theory and I have googled it already. Is it possible it was a wtf af and I am on cd 6??

kittykatskumkwat · 17/09/2012 20:10

Omg panda? That's weird but pg a definate possibility!!
Munchin that fits with the dates though doesn't it, you wouldn't expect af 6 days after lh surge! And it would take 3-4 days to show up, what test did you use? If it wasn't a frer I'd say test again just to make sure, if you've not got a spare one and dint want to you could try an opk, they work on the same basis but are not as sensitive, I got Smile on them when I was of after implantation too early and that's what made me suspicious

kittykatskumkwat · 17/09/2012 20:13

U only say it as weird timings and my af after mc and those I know have been really heavy

MunchinMango · 17/09/2012 20:23

Hi kitty I'm using testsforless own brand hpt. Just did another one and still bfn!!!! I wish it had been a proper af now as I would be well on way to ttc anew. God now I'm wishing for a normal af!!!! So wtf cycle continues.

GoldPedanticPanda · 17/09/2012 20:36

Its due round about nowish I think, I'm not really sure with this wtf cycle, I mc the 15th of last month, but the bleeding stopped fairly quickly, only lasting a few days so it's been about 5 weeks. I said to DP and he's rushed out to get a test, should I poas now or wait?

It's a pack of two so technically I could do both...

GoldPedanticPanda · 17/09/2012 20:47

Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!!!!!

Poas and got a BFP after about 3 seconds, you're supposed to wait 10 mins with this test! That's a good thing right??

MunchinMango · 17/09/2012 21:07

Oh that's fantastic news Panda. Believe it your pg!!! Your hcg levels must be high when line comes up so fast. Absolutely delighted for you.

GoldPedanticPanda · 17/09/2012 21:25

I can't really believe it, I thought it would take just as long as the last time, I really didn't think I'd get pg straight away on my first cycle.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 17/09/2012 22:03

panda that's great news congrats. Quick result sounds really good to me.

Hi hazelnut sorry to hear about your loss. I've had a few chem pregs myself (they really suck).

Very impressed with the two day hangover munchin

babyjamesblackberrycrumble · 17/09/2012 22:06

Oh wow, yey Pediatric Bear Thanks
You give us hope :)

GoldPedanticPanda · 17/09/2012 22:09

Thanks munchin and whenshe Smile I'm now torn between trying not to get too excited, trying not to get too worried, and not really believing it either. We've just agreed not to tell anyone this time, not even the small handful of people we told last time, unless we make it past the 12wk mark.

GoldPedanticPanda · 17/09/2012 22:10

Thanks baby Smile

AlmondFrangipani · 17/09/2012 22:10

OMG Panda!!!!!! GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin I was only thinking today that someone on here should be due a BFP!

Can't keep up with all the news! Welcome newbies, sorry u find yourselves here.

I'm on CD7 and just started the OPKs. So far just faint lines. Trying to DTD EOD but as we speak I'm trying not to sleep whilst DH grouts kitchen floor. We're not good at making time!! House meant to be going on the market this weekend...

WhenSheWasBadSheWasAnOrange · 17/09/2012 22:20

Best of luck with house sale. I never start dtd at cd7 for fear of getting fed up with it by the time ov comes around.

if my dh ever reads these posts I am in big trouble

GoldPedanticPanda · 17/09/2012 22:23

Thanks almond :o
