Here we go everyone - a place for the recent MCers to chat and share all our NOT waiting stories!

kittykats Grin at BJ!
I also think hope that the bleeding is coming to an end as it is now brown.
I feel so shattered and have been having to have a nap in the day! Can't imagine still feeling like this and being back at work Hmm
I have been taking the Sanatagon Multi Vitamins. Took Pregnacare lasr time but I had a free sample of the Sanatagon and think they are cheaper.

Still fuming at the hospitals for giving no advice, support or even a leaflet! Poor service!!!

Munchin · 23/08/2012 22:02

Thanks kitty. Sounds like you haven't had a chance to have regular af's either. Hope your bleeding is getting less.

Jessie I take 500mg folio acid and pregnacare for ttc. But yes they are like elephant pellets lol. I wish there was a magic tablet.

Babyjames I was back at work while still bleeding and it was horrible. Bad enough to have mc but bleeding was just a constant reminder. That was awful that hospital gave you no information. I got a booklet but I can honestly say that the support and information here on mn was really what helped me get through it.

suzydelarosa · 23/08/2012 23:44

almond hold off on the clear blue digital to closer to when af is due. In my experience they aren't as sensitive as the superdrug ones or the other pink ones... Boots maybe?

In both instances the pink one said I was pregnant (at cycle day 23!) and blue didn't till a few days later. Pink good blue bad.

That said I must have spent about 300 pounds on pg tests in he last year Blush

Almond301 · 24/08/2012 09:29

Jessie I take Boots Conception Support tablets which have 400 Folic Acid then a whole host of other vits. I got them on 3 for 2 so good value. The tablet isn't too big either!

Suzy I'm holding out as Im already using the sensitive ones and there is hardly anything there!

So I confessed to the OH this morning about the test and did another one held out for a grand 24 hours. He thinks I'm mad and said there isnt a real line as you can only see it when you hold it up to the light so that must be the chemical strip in the test. I think he's probably right as it hasn't got any darker...Sad. I did think about getting some FRER tests today I am mental or u just leave it for 48 hours? On my last pg it showed up on First Response before anything else. AF due Sun and Tue is month since MC. I'm sooo bad at dealing with the not knowing!!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 24/08/2012 09:33

Ooh almond I feel your pain I hate not knowing. I would try again tomorrow and see if it gets darker.
I thought I had an evap line but it was positive. Fx

kittykatsforever · 24/08/2012 09:44

Yes almond it won't get darker really in a day, if you think your detecting probably only 6 mlu it being so faint, it takes 2 days for that to get even to 12, still a very faint + if you think I'd you waited til Sunday it would have doubled again, I think the tests say they can pick up 10 etc but can even lower as my first response got a faint line on the Saturday then digi the Tuesday after4 days, 2 days after that I had bloods and they were only 20!! I thought I had mc then but 2 days later were 50 so the mw said they must have literally been picking up 5 or something! If you look at it like that you can see why it takes so long to get a dark line, if you look at the positive you have done 2 tests both with lines, I don't know about you but think the odds of getting evap lines on 2 are pretty slim!!! I know when my tests are neg there is nothing there no matter how many lights I hold them up to!
On a me note bleeding seems to have re appeared Sad and I am getting positive tests ughhh how the parallel live!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 24/08/2012 10:17

The bleedings come back? That sucks. Really sorry kitty I was hoping you could start thinking about your next ov.

Good point about the hcg. I didn't think of that, a doubling at the start will still be at really low levels.

kittykatsforever · 24/08/2012 10:45

Well it never went as such but seemed to have slowed and gone lighter so I took it as it was going, non overnight but now back to bright red, it's so frustrating, I'm sick of it as have to wear towels Sad and can't dtd or anything to feel like I'm achieving anything
I even shaved my legs last night in preparation, wasted Angry

Almond301 · 24/08/2012 10:45

Kitty thanks for your advice, it's really helping me calm my irrational mind Grin. Sorry to hear about the bleeding. I'm sure ur will settle down soon x

PedanticPanda · 24/08/2012 10:57

Hi everyone, quick question, when TTC is everyone t-total and staying away from cream cheese and all the other things you're supposed to avoid during pregnancy just incase? Or are you all a bit more relaxed and have the odd bungee jump glass of wine now and then?

Jessie I'm taking folic acid just now but am about to start vitamins that supposedly increase your chance of conception - we'll see how successful they are!

That is rubbish Kitty, hopefully it wont last very long.

Can I add myself onto the list too? Pedantic, 24, ttc #2, 2 mc.

babyjames · 24/08/2012 11:05

FX for you Almond
Kitty how frustrating. I have no clue how long is normal to bleed for. I have quite bad cramps today. I have luckily booked next week off work as holiday so will get a bit more of a chance to compose myself.

Welcome Ped I have been eating cream cheese. I think that is ok if its made from pasturised milk. I have also had a few glasses of wine over the last few days during the MC.

PedanticPanda · 24/08/2012 11:12

I've had a few drinks too while mc but now the bleeding has stopped and we're going to ttc (you were all right, I did start to feel better once the bleeding had stopped Smile ) but some people IRL have been saying it took them a while to ttc and they just acted as normal, drinking etc until they got a bfp.

kittykatsforever · 24/08/2012 11:22

Pedantic I never do anything different, at the end of the day we probably all poas at the earliest we can get a + so the week it didn't cover will really make no difference, if you were having difficulty TTC alcohol avoidance might be preferable but otherwise just try to carry on as normal, life would be very deprived if we always lived expecting something, in some cases it could be a year later and you'd just be very anoyed!!

babyjames · 24/08/2012 11:25

I'l second that Kitty
Thought I'd share a poem with you:

You're Stronger Than You Think

If the strongest tree can bow and bend
From winds that hurried by
We cannot feel that we are weak
If we break down and cry

Somehow the tree gets stronger
As the sun shines once again
And so are we from tears we've cried

Remember that my friend ~

jessiethecowgirl · 24/08/2012 12:43

Lovely poem babyjames, thanks for sharing!
After 1st mc I made a playlist with songs that kept me uplifted (ie Kelly Clarkson - Stronger, U2 - Beautiful Day, etc)

Good luck almond with testing, and thanks for the suggestion of Boots Conception tablets, think I'll look into that

sorry kitty to hear about bleeding reappearing. I'm still bleeding after 2nd mc, day 5 now, and it doesn't seem to be lightening off like a normal AF, which is really frustrating, but I'm sure it will soon!

Is anyone using OPKs during this WTF cycle? I am, and this will be my first time using, so interested to hear how others get on.

I also have a few drinks during TTC, but never get drunk, and I think cream cheese is safe to eat, even during pregnancy.

kittykatsforever · 24/08/2012 12:48

Well Jessie, I'll trump your day 5 with day 14! That's not including the previous 5 days af 3 days before that!
I fear I may collapse soon with blood loss
I'm not using opk this time as only have the expensive cb ones but last time it was cd23 of a usual 17/19 ov day,

Lolcbcb · 24/08/2012 13:24

Hi Jessie I found some vits from wilkinson that have folic acid plus some other stuff- they are only about a quid and small too! I took pregnacare but this month will have these ones.
I didn't use opk on wtf cycle but will use it this month for first time. Not sure I'll keep it up though.

babyjames · 24/08/2012 13:55

I'm undecided whether or not to use the OPK this month. Prob will as feel the need to be pro-active and do something if you know what I mean. It was first time used it last month and it seemed to work just didn't have a sticky bean! Ou Lol sounds like a good find :) Think I have spent a small fortune on conception items and tests!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 24/08/2012 15:05

I always use opks but I am a bit of a control freak that way. I take my vits too am on Sanatogen at the moment.

posypoo · 24/08/2012 15:12

Hello everyone, sorry not been on much as am at the in-laws, mainly relaxing with my book today! Ooh Almond have you had a faint positive? Fx for you!

Jessie I take Sanatogen pregnancy vitamins. Agree about pregnacare, the size scared me!

OP posts:
PedanticPanda · 24/08/2012 15:19

I'm still not on the list posy Sad

PedanticPanda · 24/08/2012 15:22
Almond301 · 24/08/2012 16:20

Posy don't tell us your reading 50 Shades?? I'm classing it as an imaginary very faint line it's in my head I'm sure!

Baby I tried OPKs this month but didn't catch surge. I found it made me have a heart sinking moment each time and feel better not doing it. Having said that i think i would try again after the WTF cycle as this one just seems all over the place! I got on better with the poas version rather than the dipstick ones! Expensive though!!
