Oh have i started the new thread??
Red, I've never had symptoms when pg so don't let that put you off Smile

You will get to do it to, I'm sure of it.

Take ibuprofen if you're sore - eat first though. It really does help with the pain. Don't take aspirin or anything with aspirin in it. Have chocolate and a nice bath. Pamper yourself.

It will happen soon.

Are you on Folic Acid by the way?

redstrawberry · 28/07/2012 15:02

Yes on folic acid. Thanks have taken some ibu for the pain now. It's cramping hell in the lower abdomen. Going to get a takeaway, wine and chick flick tonight. Just wallowing in self-pity this weekend.

KickTheGuru · 28/07/2012 15:09

You're allowed to wallow. Don't feel you can't wallow.

It's shit, shit shit and I'm really sorry :(

wishfulthinking1 · 28/07/2012 17:16

It is just shit. :-(

What chick flick are you going for?
Xx

kittykatsforever · 28/07/2012 18:16

Wine takeaway and a chick flick sound like the best medicine, its ok to wallow in it you know, there's no so and so's had it worse here, youve your own battles and hard times and it's auful however and whenever it happens, totally understand the plans for the whole pregnancy thing even though you may not tell people or buy anything you still have dreams about what will be, if knowing this time was worse for you then atleast in the following months you can take the approach of late af instead and I promise we won't mither you to test x

Such chick flicks on today. We did the swimming, cycling, F1 and rugby.

Then I made DH watch Eat, Pray, Love and Miss Congeniality...

redstrawberry · 29/07/2012 11:01

I'm a lot better today. Painful AF seems to have passed. Normal AF is still around. Looking at the positives that I can get pregnant and it would have happened later instead my body protected me and it's happened sooner.

Now looking forward to dtd in August. Is it true that you are more fertile after something like this happens?

Ended up watching cowboys and aliens - Dh said a lot of chick flicks have happy endings and it might set me off again :) so watched some Daniel Craig blood and gore instead.

Kitty and wishful a big hug to you both. Xx

redstrawberry · 29/07/2012 11:04

And yes on the testing thing...I think henceforth I will wait I'm a week late. I don't think I want to poas anytime soon. Have a phobia of test sticks.

Keep thinking...stupidly..what might have caused it? I was actually analysing my sneezing. I had a sneezing fit the whole week and thought if that prevented implantation. I guess I'll never know.

NicolaHazel · 29/07/2012 11:09

Awww, red, I'm glad you're trying to think positively about trying next month.

As everyone has said, at least you can get pregnant, that's a positive to take from it.

And I'm sure it wasn't sneezing. As others have said, it's the body protecting you from a baby with severe defects.

I'm giving you a very un-MN big hug and sending positive thoughts your way.

KickTheGuru · 29/07/2012 13:33

No it wasn't the sneezing. There was nothing you did.

And its not true that you are more fertile. Just the same :)

winkle2 · 29/07/2012 14:20

So sorry red. :(

KickTheGuru · 29/07/2012 14:33

I have a random question and i am sorry to have to ask this

but does anyone else get randomly ahem...like...tighter through their cycle?

Sorry Blush

NicolaHazel · 29/07/2012 14:37

Hmmm...not so I've noticed, kick!

And maybe one to avoid Googling as it could give you some REALLY dodgy results!

KickTheGuru · 29/07/2012 14:51

Yeh it is more interest sake. I wonder if we just notice it more because we DTD eod. It could be like...from too much as well.

I used to think it was pregnancy related but i have not even oved yet so maybe it is more from too much?

Oh well Grin

winkle2 · 29/07/2012 14:58

Could it be drier rather than tighter? That can happen from too much dtd.

KickTheGuru · 29/07/2012 15:02

I take epo though. I actually halved it because it worked TOO well and i was very uncomfortable

Unless its fake and external?

I will take the normal again and see. Thanks :)

winkle2 · 29/07/2012 15:10

I've not taken epo this month as I'm worried it caused my long cycle last month!

KickTheGuru · 29/07/2012 16:28

I took EPO last year sometime and my cycles were normal. My cycles have been surprisingly normal - apart from the last one which went up to 36 days. No idea where that came but have given my body a stern talking to about clearly being ready to fall pregnant now and the 36 day cycle was it's last push for health.

Fingers crossed it listens now.

How are you feeling, winkle? Thought of you this morning as I lay wif me legs waggling in the air Grin

AussieMummyTo1 · 29/07/2012 16:35

Havent been online for a little while, we lost our phones, & then of course our internet.

red really, really sorry to hear, I hope you are extra, super fertile in August, will keep FX. Enjoy all the things you like & might not be able to enjoy next months, like Brie, bloody steak, sushi, wine !!

kick wish mine felt tighter !! after having DD, its taken a lot of kegals to get it to its still not great state ! Thats reminds me... do more kegals !!

KickTheGuru · 29/07/2012 16:41

I am definitely pushing for a c-section. Millions of tiny reasons (and 70% of Type 1 have emergency c-section anyway) so I am going to try and push for it from the word go.

What on earth are kegals?

winkle2 · 29/07/2012 16:42

I'm ok. On CD8 so gearing up to dtd eod from tomorrow. OH is working from home the next 2 weeks because of the olympics which is perfect timing.

He had his sperm analysis done last week and we get the tests this week. Fingers crossed everything is ok. I have to have my tests too - ringing this week to find out when I have to come in. Do you know if 21 day bloods having to be done on exactly cd21?

NicolaHazel · 29/07/2012 16:47

Kegals are pelvic floor exercises, I think, Kick.

Good luck with the test results, winkle. :-)

KickTheGuru · 29/07/2012 16:48

Oooh hold on - I think we're (wait for fluffy bunny and ponies!) cycle buddies!!

I am on CD10 today and we started humping erm...CD6 Blush Grin

I am not 100% sure but when they were going to do my blood tests (to find out if I was...sick?) they said two days later I would be fine, I think. Kind of a day or two either way?

winkle2 · 29/07/2012 16:58

That's good to hear as I have a dentist appt on cd23 so will have the whole day off work and get the tests done the same day - such fun NOT

KickTheGuru · 29/07/2012 17:07

I like days like that though. I always feel more productive when I do things good for my health or my mind...

Double check - but I just remember me asking what if (for instance) CD21 was a Saturday and they said I could either do the Friday or the Monday so I assume it wasn't massively time pressured. Check though?
