I'm a bfn too not that I tested, af beginnings have started, which is a 24 day cycle, which is really short for me!

September bfp here I come!

NicolaHazel · 10/08/2012 07:28

At least if it is short you can move on quickly, Lisa. Still frustrating though. :-/

Roxyjade · 10/08/2012 07:28

Lisa, hopefully September is our month :)

Roxyjade · 10/08/2012 07:28

Nicola have a lovely afternoon weather is lovely today :)

Newbie2 · 10/08/2012 07:29

Hmmmm I don't like internal examinations crossing legs at the thought of it well I guess I'll have to do whatever it takes now!

Nicola enjoy your last dress fitting :)

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 10/08/2012 07:32

It's not my last, Newbie...there's at least 2 more!! :-)

Very exciting though.

9 weeks tomorrow.

DulcetMoans · 10/08/2012 07:34

Aw, sorry about all the BFN. Hoping it's too early or AF comes quick so you can start again.

Good luck at the docs newbie!

LoveinNY · 10/08/2012 08:22

Well. CD 37, 11 dpo and another bfn this morning. Feeling crampy and boobs getting tender which is generally start of AF but my friend said she also had those feelings when she fell pg. Confused dh and I getting impatient. At least we're on the same page I guess.
Good luck at the docs Newbie, demand some tests. Smile
Have a wonderful time trying your dress on Nicola enjoy every second of the build up because it flys by so quickly!

Oh and note for all, Wilkinson sell twin packs of clear blue tests for £4, I stalked up yest as daily poas at the mo.
Hope everyone's enjoying the sun. Xx

Newbie2 · 10/08/2012 08:25

Really nervous about seeing the doctor now...ridiculous I know. Will post later this afternoon :-/

Roxyjade · 10/08/2012 09:33

Newbie don't worry about internal examination of they send you for one

It really isn't bad at all, it is worse having a smear, seriously it's not bad, takes about 5mins max x

woody17 · 10/08/2012 09:40

Newbie hope it all goes well today. Honestly, the internal scan is fine - it's sooooooooo much better than a smear test.

LoveinNY hope you get a BFP soon - the waiting is so frustrating, isn't it?

Have a lovely weekend with your family Nicola

Newbie2 · 10/08/2012 10:58

OK back from GP. Umm internal examination was just like smear :-/ Did you say that to make me feel better? :) I think I'm a wuss!! But this is just clarification that I'm a wuss :)

So, she gave me an examination and I'm booked to have my bloods taken next Friday and then an internal ultrasound on 11th Septemer. Then I'm booked to see her again on 21st September to discuss all 3 results and see where I go from there. I feel better because I got tested this morning and everything else got booked in. I was thinking of going private for the scan so I'm glad I don't have to do that now as I think it is quite pricey. Obviously I'm a bit upset that I won't get to talk through the results until end of September as that is a very long long long time away! I don't know whether I should keep going with the OV sticks. Maybe having lots of DtD is a better option? I know I can't use CbfM again. She couldn't explain why I got a peak one week later then a smiley face. The whole thing is just so frustrating :( Just have to be thankful I wasn't turned away and that I'm getting some test odd to be thankful for that when that is why we pay so much tax

Sorry newbie I was talking about internal scan and not internal examination. Not very keen on internal exams at all but honestly, internal scans are fine. I'm glad that they are going to start looking into things. Maybe you could plan a little treat for every weekend between now and 21st to help the time go by a bit quicker?

I'm no expert but advice seems to dtd regularly throughout the cycle, aiming for at least 2-3 times per week. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep using ov sticks at the moment - I think they have made me even more obsessive and determined to dtd rather than being relaxed about it, if that makes sense?

I had the tiniest amount of brown spotting today - wondering if it could be implantation bleeding? Although I got a +ve on ov stick on Monday so don't know if times fit. I suppose as Monday was first day I did a test, my peak might have started sooner and egg could have already been released? Does anyone have any ideas?

Newbie2 · 10/08/2012 12:30

Hee Hee woody I read your messages just before going into GP thinking... I'll be fine, won't hurt at all...you probably did me a favour :) Now that I'm home I'm thinking I'd probably be able to ask the doctor on 11th September for all the results of everything as my doctor told me today that you get the scan results instantly. Its annoying that my doctor is going on holiday for 2 weeks which is why I have to wait until 21st. I'm sure I can hang on until 11th :-/ The move will keep my mind busy!

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 10/08/2012 12:37

Oh and I think you're right woody 2-3 times is probably the new approach that we need to adopt now!

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 10/08/2012 12:52

Just rang the surgery to check that on 11th when I have my scan there will be time to discuss results at the end. Apparently they book out 3 slots of appointments for the scan so the lady on reception said there will be plenty of time. Hah hah I'm such a nutter :) As if the doctor would turn around and say leave the room now no time to talk anymore Grin OK well 3 weeks until I get all results back isn't so bad... I can wait 3 weeks :)

OP posts:
woody17 · 10/08/2012 13:04

Good - glad you might get all the results back a bit sooner. It sounds like you've got a supportive dr?

NicolaHazel · 10/08/2012 13:08

What does that mean exactly, Newbie? Does it mean it will affect TTC?

At least you're on the way to answers.

I'm really not sure AF is on the way as I have no pain like last month. Apart from sore boobs, there's nothing, not even moodiness!

Just on the way back home now. Go and see my sister et al :-)

DulcetMoans · 10/08/2012 13:57

Well I think that sounds like a good result really newbie, you'll have some tests and hopefully some answers and in the meantime you can just try not to think about it too much. Hard I know, but I like the treat every weekend idea mentioned above. That will help the weeks pass quickly!

Newbie2 · 10/08/2012 14:00

Nicola I guess it means I could have a fertility problem that needs to be treated. Doctor said its unlikely that I have PCOS because I'm not hairy, im a healthy weight, no acne barr the recent spots and I'm pretty sure I used to have regular periods bc. She says that the scan will be looking for cysts and if I have any that may explain why LH surge was picked up twice this month because cyts can make things go a bit haywire. She told me not to worry as that doesn't mean I won't fall pregnant it will just take longer then others. We didn't talk about DtD now but I'm pretty sure that the wise thing would be to keep trying 2-3 times a week while I'm waiting for results to come back. Right now I feel blue about it all but I know I am really blessed to have a lovely doctor who has instructed all the right tests to get things moving along.

OP posts:
Newbie2 · 10/08/2012 14:01

Thanks Dulcet I like the treat idea too! Going to start with rose tonight...have not drunk in a long time!

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 10/08/2012 14:38

Well, fx it isn't anything which hurts TTC.

The treat idea is awesome.

I've made an appointment with my favourite Dr on 15th September to talk things through. See if that manages to tempt a baby along!

purplefairies · 10/08/2012 14:43

Newbie2 - that's good that your doctor is doing tests, definitely the right way to go. Are you still having the bloating problem? Mine is so bad. My mum was visiting last week and said "OMG, what happened to your flat stomach?" (sensitive as always). Was trying to cut down on refined carbohydrates but I seem to be craving them a lot recently.

Weird cycle for me as I don't feel like I've ovulated yet (no pain and only a bit of CM but that was last week, which I think was too early for me) and I'm now on CD 22. So confusing. Will try to keep going with DTD until MIL arrives for her visit next week :)

Newbie2 · 10/08/2012 16:06

Nicola I'm glad you've booked an appointment. I didn't want to tell you to cos that might seem a bit rude but I think it's good to be active about booking one just on the grounds that they're not so easy to book last minute nowadays! Especially when you really want one! Take note that if you wanted to have your hormone levels checked from your blood it would need to be done around CD20 (I guess thats when they check if you've actually ovulated). You could talk to your doctor about booking a blood test to have that done when you see her. Not saying that you need to do that but more like trying to help you know when they would take bloods for OV checking...if that makes sense?!

Purple I seem to be getting the bloating before and after ovulation. My doctor didn't really have an answer for me when I told her my symptoms...she just said that the results will be able to give me a clearer picture as to why I might be experiencing some of these things. I guess that makes sense.

OP posts:
NicolaHazel · 10/08/2012 16:10

It's OK Newbie, I wouldn't have thought you rude!

We will have had 4 months of trying then, but I may bump it up a bit when I go :-) See how I feel.

Timing it for 20 days could be a challenge, but I'll sort it if necessary.

Do you feel better for going today?
