Just wondering how QueenSconetta is getting on?

Hey Girls, you have been quiet, how are you?, x.

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 07/08/2012 10:25

I'm here. Just being quiet because I am trying to not be sick!! Had an horrendous day yesterday which ended in a trip to the dentist after being up all night on Sunday in agonising pain. The lovely dentist drilled down to the nerve, but was unable to remove it because it was too painful. Instead, she has put something over it that will kill it over the next couple of days. So far, so good. Not much pain, just the odd twinge. Nearly passed out though. The combination of nausea, pain and anaesthesia do not make for a happy Moo!!!

Off to the Olympic football semi's tonight. Should be a good laugh. Only wish Team GB were playing rather than Korea!!

QueenSconetta · 07/08/2012 16:51

Oh Moo that's not good, poor you - I hope you are off work.

QueenSconetta · 08/08/2012 07:16

How's the tooth today Moo?

How are you Jaffa?

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 08/08/2012 07:54

Morning all!!! had a fab time at the Olympics last night. My first international football game and involvement in a Mexican Wave. Got home very late though, which was not so good as I was shattered.

How you feeling Queen? Tooth seems much better thank you :)

Not off work, too much to do so just plodding on regardless. Not sure when I should tell work that I am up duffed (or at least my line manager) because the sicky days when they come can be horrendous.

Jaffa where the bloody hell have you gone? Don't make us send out a search party young lady

Right.................I'm off in search of Jaffa

QueenSconetta · 08/08/2012 08:17

Jaffa come home!

I am feeling ok Moo, tired and A bit sicky but not too bad. Boobs a bit sore but very on and off. Early days I guess.

I told my line manager yesterday because its easier than lying if I have appointments etc and we get on really well.

I have midwife this afternoon for I guess a preliminary appointment. A bit early possibly but working in my home town today so was the best time to get away.

Glad you enjoyed the Olympics. I am loving then on TV. DD keeps insisting they will get chocolate medals not gold medals!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 08/08/2012 08:42

Hmmmm, maybe I should let mine know as well. Line manager is male though and I don't want the rest of the team to know just yet, in case something does go wrong.

Muchos Envy at your midwife appointment. Can't believe I have to wait another 3 weeks :( have made an appointment with the doctor as well though so will be nice to have it confirmed by a medical professional (although AF is now a week late, so I don't think I need to worry).

Work is very taxing at the moment. Can't concentrate :(

QueenSconetta · 08/08/2012 08:54

Do you have to be a certain number of weeks for yours then? With us you just phone up and ask for an appointment, no questions asked.

I'm not sure if she will do another test etc, she didn't the last time but I saw GP first then so they had already done one.

I think DP would like them to test because I don't think he believes HPTs, but surely about 10 all saying the same thing must give him a hint!

I'm a bit nervous tbh!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 08/08/2012 09:09

I called 2 weeks ago and the earliest appointment I could get was 3rd September.

I have done 26 tests now so I think I can firmly say I am pregnant, so not bothered, but it would just be nice for peace of mind I think. I can also ask the doctor questions about the cramping I am getting and the fact that I don;t think I feel quite as ill as I should (although only 5+5 today, so still very early days!!). Some days are worse than others. As this is my first, I'll be honest that I'm not really sure what to expect. The fact I do feel out of sorts is good, I suppose I just thought that I would feel really rubbish most of the time.

I have no milk and really want a de-caff :( this a happy moo does not make. (I am also being incredibly lazy, considering the local shop is about a 30 second walk away!! Blush)

jaffacakehips · 08/08/2012 09:09

Mooley you can take off the highvis jacket....

Morning morning, sorry all been a bit busy here. Friends staying, then MIL staying, DD not on top form and DH and I went to the Olympics yesterday.

Velodrome tickets baby.....Grin bloody hell I'm cream knackered Smile I think we walked about 5 miles yesterday inc tubes and trains. It was AMAZING...I think I nearly peed my pants during Chris Hoy's final, so exciting and I'm a British Jock too...delighted.

So what have I missed?

Queen glad telling work went well. Always a bit nervous.

MIL calling about breakfast...breakfast it's 9am women!!! I've been up for hours

Yey Jaffa your ALLLLLLIIIIIIIVVVVVVVEEEEEEEE!!!!! :) :) :) :)

So glad you had a good time at the Olympics. Wish I could have been supporting GB, but alas, at football we are rubbish! Didn't spoil the fun though. Those Brazillians are cwazy!!! Plus it was a work thing, so I didn't spend a penny :)

Wow................you have been busy!! Where are you in the cycle now? Gearing up for lots of bonking? Wink

QueenSconetta · 08/08/2012 09:36

I have been thinking the same about not feeling ill enough, but I wasn't ill with DD so we'll see. I feel a bit sick if I don't eat and a bit sick if I do so who knows!

You have been a busy girl Jaffa, no wonder you are knackered. When do you start the bonkathon? [Nosey emoticon], Grin

QueenSconetta · 08/08/2012 14:05

So just had appointment - I was so nervous for some reason!

They just sent off a referral for a consultant appointment and scan and gave me a booking appointment for 13th Sept all being well.

QueenSconetta · 08/08/2012 14:07

Don't know why that posted twice!

MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 08/08/2012 14:51

Ooooh Queen how exciting :) did she talk about all the tests and blood tests etc that you will need to have? Why do you need to see a consultant? And what's the booking appointment? Crikey I have a lot to learn.

I am absolutely shattered. Sat in my home office and just finding it so hard to concentrate. All i want to do is close my eyes and have a little nap, but I have a mega drawing to....erm....draw and I can't afford to slack off. Between that and the constant waves of nausea, I am not feeling too great today.

QueenSconetta · 08/08/2012 18:40

She didn't really Moo. It was a Midwife I'd seen quite a lot with DD so I think she presumed I knew most things (have forgotten them all though).

It has changed a bit since I had DD, now you fill in your own notes and I guess they read through them at the booking appointment. They also take your height and weight, bloods to check for immunity to things and blood type etc and I'm not sure what else.

I think you automatically see a consultant here and then you can choose whether to go consultant led or midwife led. I had gestational diabetes with DD and she was forceps in the end so I guess I will stay consultant led all being well.

I am v tired too Moo and have been feeling yucky on and off too. I also tried to start my car to come home this afternoon after being at work since 5.45am (doesn't happen very often) and I had a totally flat battery. Then I had to wait an hour and a half for the AA, but in fairness they fixed it in 5 minutes, but I think had to drive around for half an hour to charge the battery! DP is playing golf this afternoon so who knows what time he'll be back so I'm trying to convince DD that going to bed now is a good idea. Then I will see if I can be bothered to make dinner for myself

jaffacakehips · 08/08/2012 20:22

Envy feeling very left out with all the preggers chat. Grin
If my dates are right lets face it...unlikely given past history I'm fertile now and should ovulated on Monday. However DH isn't well....ARGHHHHHHH! I can't make a effing baby by myself! He's clearly not keen on helping at the moment. Hmm

Right where to start:
Queen I would request you are consultant led, given your history with DD. I've had forceps with DD...respect Food, early bed....
How old is DD?

Mooley nausea is crap, but fingers crossed it will pass quickly. Top tip for all these midwife/GP appointments, they do like to spring blood test on you from time to time (out with your normal blood test)..so make sure you carry some food just in case. These waiting rooms can be so dam hot too, so plenty of water etc.

Right i'm off to eat pizza and drink beer (haha)x

Lets chat baby names....come on you know you want too!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE x

OP posts:
MooleyWooleyShamaLamaDingDong · 08/08/2012 20:47

Oooooh yes baby names!! After 13 months of trying we've had plenty of time to think of names. Soooooo, we have decided on Henry for a boy and possibly Isabella if it's a girl Smile

QueenSconetta · 08/08/2012 20:47

Jaffa far too early for that!

DD is 2.9 nearly, she is gorgeous and wonderful but very headstrong and cheeky! She did go to bed early and was asleep by 7.30pm.

I love pizza but more of a wine gal myself.

Just tell your DH you will do the work!

QueenSconetta · 08/08/2012 20:50

Also I would definitely go consultant led also. The decision to use forceps was split second so I don't even like to think if we had had to be transferred half an hour from the CMU to the main hospital.

Nice names Moo

jaffacakehips · 08/08/2012 20:57

Mooley and I will chat baby names without you then Grin

Mooley LOVE Henry, was our pick if DD was a DS. Only name DH and I could agree on. Isabella is also lovely. I have some 'crazy' suggestions for DC2. Wanna here? My DD is a "H" name too.

Queen As long as it's wet and cold, I'm happy. MIL finished all the wine Hmm My DD is only 17 months, very chatty! I've asked DH Blush about tonight...currently drinking beer, so can't be take ill Grin
