Thought we could do with a new thread since the old one is full.

OP posts:

jaffa that is fab news! 25 wks. Yay.

woody it took over 2 weeks to get a negative for me. I think I ovulated around the time I got it. For your peace of mind I'd check every few days with a cheapy and get the negative, then you will know if it is a new pg? Good luck with that!

woody17 · 25/07/2012 10:10

Thanks icequeenkate I think that I'll do that. It seems like anything can happen in the WTF cycle! FX I might get lucky!

Congratulations jaffa that's brilliant news!

pebspop · 25/07/2012 10:48

glad to hear the good news jaffa i hope the rest of this pg is boring and normal for you!

i am on cd 27 today eekk! i had the very slightest period pain twinge this morning when i was leaving for work. it lasted a second and i haven't had anything else since. unusual for me as my period pain hangs around all afternoon usually when i am trying to work. i thought it was game over but maybe not... it is my first cycle ttc this time so i can't expect miracles but i want one!

wilderumpus · 25/07/2012 10:51

yay jaffa! congrats, congrats!

I poas this morning, well four sticks, and am convinced I saw four extremely faint lines. Like, incredibly faint that only I would be able to see! So I might be pg... or i might not! hmm, early testing is a fool's game. Could I make up four lines? on IC and FRER... am 10dpo so expected anything to be extremely faint. maybe I have line-eye...

However, this is all by-the-by because I have had bad cramping this morning and my tummy is really sensitive to any of the waistbands on my trousers... Am really bloated so have to sit with my trousers undone or I get crampy. And this, my friends, was the beginning of the end with my last pg. So if I am pg - and I think I might be because even I surely can't imagine four lines having seen a fair few BFNs in my time - I think I might be losing it. So hurrah and fucktits. Am working from home, DS is at the childminders so am just going to work, eat crisps and toast and forget about it (with my trousers undone!).

so. bobbins really. :( sorry for the self obsession dudes x

Sheldonella · 25/07/2012 10:55

Ooh! Fx for you wilde :)

woody17 · 25/07/2012 10:58

FX for you pebspop Quite a few of my friends got pg on the first cycle!

wilderumpus · 25/07/2012 11:12

oooh hopefully BFP for you pebs!

wilderumpus · 25/07/2012 11:53

after all that I decided to do yet another test and this time I do have a super faint, but definitely there, BFP :)

am so excited and scared! it is right there, a thick pale pink shadow on an IC, sat on my desk as I type.

:)

Does anyone else get better pg results with mid morning wee instead of FMU? this has happened to me three times now - BFN/faint first thing, then clearer later in the day? anywho...

pebspop · 25/07/2012 12:04

congrats wilde hope this one sticks for you. cramps can be normal.

i have tested after work each time i have been pg - never bothered with the fmu thing.

i hope i get a bfp as well. suppose i could test but i don't really want to know!

wilderumpus · 25/07/2012 12:17

thanks pebs. I know what you mean. If was still on holiday or had an office job I wouldn't have tested yet. however, it was either test... or do my PhD writing all crampy and feeling pg... Hmm

I would definitely tell any sane person to hold off until you know unambiguously what you are looking at!

pebspop · 25/07/2012 12:42

i would rather wait until i was 6 months pg to test!

i need to know early though as i need to take aspirin everyday so i thought i might just start taking them on monday if af doesn't show up in the meantime and resist testing for as long as possible.

i have a hospital appointment in a couple of weeks so would love to be pg for that.

JaffaSnaffle · 25/07/2012 14:13

Pebs, I'd wish for 9 months oblivion personally! Really hope this is your month. I think this little girl is going to take up a frightening job when she's grown up, just to keep me in terror. Bomb disposal, spy... She'd like those!

Wilde bloating sounds good to me, (not as in fun, but as in good pregnancy symptom). Big congrats to you.

wilderumpus · 25/07/2012 14:23

no cramping all day apart from early morning :) :) :) tits getting sorer... gotta be good signs... thanks jaffa. mah belly is huge - all that shredding all month and wtf. Still hugely in shock and sort of denial. Another issue with early testing! Will wait a few days then do a digi/get AF.

good luck with the wait pebs x

ConfusedMumDotCom · 25/07/2012 14:33

Hoorah wilde GrinGrinGrin

Midgetm · 25/07/2012 15:11

Just a quick one as on a conference call. pebs prof regan expressly said do not take Asprin before BFP ad it can interfere with implantation.

StateofConfusion · 25/07/2012 15:58

Hi everyone! I lost you.

Just a quick metal from me before I catch up with the thread, after a very active day yesterday babys not moved today, well I think I had a flutter but not my usual movements, we don't yet have a pattern, just movement randomly every day, but I've been under a huge amount of stress the past 2 days and I'm hot tired and run down. Need some reassurance. As I currently can't make calls and have no car to get to a MW.

StateofConfusion · 25/07/2012 15:58

Oh and I'm 18+4wks

pebspop · 25/07/2012 15:59

thanks midget. i would be on cd 32 by monday which is unheard of for me if i am not pg. i just wanted to be pg without really knowing so i can have a rest from the metaling for a while. on my second pg i got to cd 45 before i gave in and tested but now i need aspirin i can't have this luxury.

so i need to test before taking the aspirin arrrghhh!! i don't want to! i want to live in denial!

all this might be pointless anyway this month as af could still get me. i am due on friday or saturday.

wilderumpus · 25/07/2012 16:07

aw state. Just a quickie as running off to pick up DS but have you tried chilling quietly and drinking a cold fizzy drink/eating some ice cream?! This can kick start the cheeky snoozy babies :) i would notice if I was stressy DS would go still until I sat down in a quiet room and whoomph, there he was again! babies are weird, please try not to worry but obvs if you are super worried ignore my silly cold drink advice and get thee to a Dr!

pebs these last few days of the 2ww are bastards :) have now totally convinced myself my tests were all faulty! Confused

Midgetm · 25/07/2012 17:51

State, 18 weeks the baby is so small you won't feel all the movements. Have an ice cold drink and lie in your left hand side for a long time and see if you get anything. If in doubt call triage. I am very bossy today.

JaffaSnaffle · 25/07/2012 18:26

state, I'm seconding advice for anything cold and /or sugary. Lying very still on your side can help you to feel things too. Music can help, as can a gentle prod. I think it often happens on a busy fat, that you are too active to feel any movements.
Fingers x for pebs

JaffaSnaffle · 25/07/2012 18:27

Arg, typo. Busy day not busy fat!

Polka2 · 25/07/2012 19:21

wilde whoop friggin doo! Huge congrats Wink

woody17 · 25/07/2012 19:49

Feeling more +ve tonight - did another pg test at same time as I did yesterday and I've gone from 2-3 wks pg to 1-2 wks. So I think that this must be a sign that levels are going down and hopefully will be ov again soon! I never thought I would be pleased to see a pg test doing this!

thinkingpositivethoughts · 25/07/2012 21:01

Wilde!!!!! I'm on the train silent shrieking! That's brilliant!!

state try not to worry, you've just been too busy coping with the heat to notice.

My pg friend was still off work with the voms. So am manning up to speak to her tomorrow. Have also made myself contact another friend on mat leave whose baby was born just before I mc'd who I havent met yet. I'm being brave I have decided that avoiding pregnant people and babies will not help me deal with it longterm even though its much easier right now and I'm a scardey cat
