Hi wifey polka and backwardpossum i think it'll help being able to talk to people who know what it feels like. I didn't realise that it'd be this hard. We haven't DTD for a few weeks now as we were advised not to as I'd had some spotting afterwards. DH even suggested that we abstain before I told him that it had been recommended! I just want to be able to stay relaxed about it. I am sorry that you've all had to go through this as well.

Are you doing anything special to help ttc?

backwardpossom · 20/07/2012 12:32

woody I can only tell you my experience, but I miscarried in March at 9 weeks (baby had died at 7). It's devastating, and so so common. I talked about it with a lot of people (just my way of coping) and the amount of people who said it had happened to them was incredible. My mum even told me my gran had had 4 miscarriages before going on to have 4 kids. So sad that it's so common. Anyway, I just wanted to be pregnant again asap. The people at the hospital told us to wait until my first period and then go for it, but I bumped into my midwife when out shopping who told us just to go for it as they only say that for dating purposes. So we did. AF turned up 28 days after and I was gutted. Then the following month, I charted my temps and used fertility friend and got a BFP. I am now on the March 2013 thread that you were on. Here's hoping you can fall again as quickly as I have. x

am so sorry about your loss woody. I hope you are ok and whenever you need to offload, feel free.

backward I really like your story about how you concieved again. It is very straightforward seeming, gives me hope that if I just pay attention to fertile signs and dtd around ov all should be well :)

ConfusedMumDotCom · 20/07/2012 13:23

Brown grunge Sad

Waiting for epu to call back.

Hand holding please. Sad

backwardpossom · 20/07/2012 13:42

confused I'm holding very tight, let us know how you go. Thinking of you xx

wilde Fingers crossed for you too.

I feel rough as f*ck. I need a good spew, but not going to happen. I should be glad as it's a good sign, but it just feels rubbish.

confused firstly HUGS. Secondly midgets right, brown gunge is old stuff, most probably from dildo cam but I know until you speak to epu you won't be reassured. Hugs again Wink

wilderumpus · 20/07/2012 14:39

i had brown gunge when pg after dildocam confused! thinking of you x

Jollyb · 20/07/2012 16:00

Hi all

Welcome woody - sorry that you've had to join this thread but am sure you'll find the support invaluable. It's funny how differently our partners react. My DP didn't really get why I was so upset when I miscarried. My second miscarriage was a blighted ovum and he was very much 'oh well this one was never a baby anyway so let's get on with it'. I was keen to start TTC again too but it felt like forever until my period arrived. Saying that I don't think we waited until then.

confused sending a big French hug over to you with a kiss on each cheek. Please let us know how everything goes.

Not one but two facebook pregnancy announcements yesterday - was about to fall into a pit of misery when I remembered one of the women had had 2 miscarriages prior to conceiving her son.

Last proper day of holiday here. Have escaped to the glorious cool bedroom and am pretending to do some packing

ConfusedMumDotCom · 20/07/2012 16:46

Thank you all.

Lovely nurse rang back v quickly after reviewing my scans with the doctor. Says brown grunge is likely from the dildo cam and there was nothing in my scan to suggest anything else. She said with the quality of my results yesterday they are not concerned unless I get red spotting.

Feel much better now, particularly as brown hinge has stopped. In fact feel a bit silly for panicking.

need portable home ultrasound machine, checks amazon

wifey6 · 20/07/2012 18:19

confused....felt like I held my breath til you updated...bet you did too! So glad you are now reassured. A portable scanner would be awesome wouldn't it! Sending big relieved hugs your way. Smile

hurrah!

holiday tomorrow! will be back on tuesday when I shall be 9dpo... Am so frightened, is like having exam results when I have convinced myself I didn't do very well! I need to know, but don't want to know!

ConfusedMumDotCom · 20/07/2012 21:21

Ha ha ha at wilde dildo cam making her pg sniggers if only it was that simple!

Will be keeping my fingers crossed for you. Don't forget to hide the tests!

Poppyjen · 21/07/2012 14:45

Hello hello, just wanted to pop in to say hello to those who remember me - sorry I haven't been around but life suddenly got a bit manic...

Currently 34 weeks and feeling like a whale but all is well Grin we've just sold our flat and we are moving in a to a new house in 3 weeks or so (2 weeks before due date!!!) so I am hoping she decides to stay inside for as long as her big brother did (he was born at 42+2) so at the very least I can find kettle/biscuits etc Smile

Anyway, big hugs to everyone, old and new. Wishing you all best of luck - I'll let you know when she makes her entrance!

Polka2 · 21/07/2012 17:23

confused great news, what a reliefWink

Had my first acupuncture session since mmc (I'll try anything to help at this stage) and was really upset by acupuncturists "bad luck" comment when I told him. I know it was a throw away comment but felt it was way too flippant for the agonies which we've been thru that he's fully aware ofAngry stupid I know!

pebspop · 21/07/2012 18:24

pixie hope everything is ok at your next scan.

jaffa hope you are ok next week. after everything you have been through you deserve a happy ending.

i am back from my holiday it was lovely. i dtd on thursday (maybe friday but can't remember Blush sat and tuesday and had loads of ewcm on sun/mon/tues. i am hoping this will be enough for bfp but i am not too sure. i wish we had dtd on sun and mon but dh was feeling ill.

my spotting has stopped now so it must have been that year old bit of placenta causing it. the bloody doctors just kept trying to fob me off with the spotting being related to mc. i knew it wasn't right all sorted now though.

somethingcool · 21/07/2012 18:49

Hi all,

Thought I'd join in this thread too Grin starting ttc again this month after mc in February. Finally feeling ready to take the plunge again nervous/excited Fingers crossed!

woody17 · 22/07/2012 09:23

Glad everything was ok confused

Hope you get a bfp pebspop

I am really confused. Have only recently had a mc (it ended last week) but since yesterday my cm is like it is around the time I ovulate - could that be possible? Or is it too soon? Someone suggested that I should treat the first day of mc as first day of af and that would make everything that is happening make sense.

Any ideas?

Polka2 · 22/07/2012 09:50

woody I'm no expert but you're in the WTF cycle so your body will be doing all sorts of weird things but
some people do ov and get pg in this cycle but equally it could just be your hormones going haywire! Sorry I couldn't be more helpfulBlush

Lays out full English and a hot pot of tea......well it is Sunday!Wink

Quicksie · 22/07/2012 14:21

pebs it sounds promising to me...especially now you have had that piece taken out! It is shocking that could happen, thank goodness you are okay. You must be very resilient, bit like wonder woman?!
woody I had lots of ewcm in that first cycle, several weeks on and off. I think I probably did ov but was too tired and stressed to do much about it! Lots of people do conceive in the wtf cycle, just look after yourself.
polka thanks for the fry up... Could murder one but I am trying to shift some weight! We are going munro bagging in the cairngorms next month and I dont fancy dragging this arse up to 3000 feet!
poppyjen and something cool welcome and welcome back!
confused so pleased for you... Phew!

posypoo · 22/07/2012 15:09

Hello everyone, please could I join? Like Woody (hello!) I also had a miscarriage last week (8 weeks ish) and it would be good to come and join a thread with people who have been through the same thing. It's early days and so I am not yet sure if I will go for it straight away, but if not then will definitely be trying from the next month.

Pleased to see some positive stories and congrats to those who are pregnant again!

somethingcool · 22/07/2012 18:34

Hi All,

Hope you all had a lovely Sunday, fab weather round here but working, boo!

Tea and cakes for all x

woody17 · 22/07/2012 20:43

Thanks quicksie my dh and I have decided to ttc again straight away. I don't know if by focusing on this, I'm not really dealing with the mc properly but it feels right to continue trying. Think we are just going to dtd every other day and hope for the best.

I don't use ovulation kits/tests etc - does anyone else?

Hope you are going ok posy

leedy · 23/07/2012 12:54

Hello everyone, haven't been on the thread in a while, hope all are well. Had 21-week scan last week and everything apparently looked great, so I am finally beginning to relax a bit.
