For the whole cycle!! I desperately want it to be this month!! As doin as AF is gone I'm on it! Literally!! I've never paid attention to "signs" so maybe I should now... What should I be looking out for except ewcm?

wilderumpus · 30/08/2012 12:40

ewcm is the best bet but watery/thin cm is grand too. Not everyone gets ewcm.

is a link to the right about stuff to look out for that will explain it better than me. It is really obvious to me when I am fertile, get reet randy, sore boobs and sadly, bloated and spotty too! lush :(.

looking forward to your june babies ladies!

I have to confess I also checked the may thread Wilde. Would not post but was reading it Blush
Hayley sorry af arrived but at least it's wtf cycle over - if I remember right this is your first one?

Haylebop12 · 30/08/2012 13:51

First mc, second AF since :-)

wilderumpus · 30/08/2012 14:06

haha, we are all reading the may thread. I try not to wince at the posts where people are like 'omg how will I cope'?! I'LL COPE FOR YOU! Angry and Envy

hehe.

OP posts:
Haylebop12 · 30/08/2012 14:15

Definitely wilde but it WILL be us soon.
Dud anyone find that their cycles got closer in length the more they have. As in...
Mc to first AF was 33 days
AF1 to AF2 was 31 days, cycle before mc was 28 days so I feel it's getting back to " normal" if you gets me?
Anyone else?

wilderumpus · 30/08/2012 14:22

mine never really went wonky after my 'proper' mmc, but the CP last month (where I was pg for a day) has made this cycle go crackers! you can't really tell, hayle, best not to overthink it, shag a lot, keep an eye for your fertile time and cross your fingers! (does seem like yours is going down though, indeed)

even if you time it all Just Right you are only 20% likely to make a baby... it takes an average couple of lovely fertiliy 9 months of trying to make a baby. arf.

with the nine months thing though, I wonder if you have to re-set the clock after a mc?! no, really, I do.

OP posts:
Haylebop12 · 30/08/2012 14:33

wilde
If it wasn't for mc I wouldn't be like this!! Crappy isn't it!
The shag-a-lot thing may work for one month... But I'm not one who can keep that up! Im more of a twice a week gal!
We need some more good news on this thread!!

wilderumpus · 30/08/2012 14:40

oh sorry, I know. I am annoying sometimes! I am the same. I did my shagathon this month and literally, we were shagged out just at ov time! So next month I am NOT taking any opks away with me or anything (i ov when we are on holiday) and will drink, smoke a bit and not think about it, make merry with my husband as and when and, because I won't be looking, I am BOUND to come back preggo.

even not trying is a form of trying Grin ARG!

OP posts:
ChuckleMonster · 30/08/2012 15:23

Sorry AF got you one and hayle - hope the wine and hot choc made you feel a little better.

hayle my cycle length settle down after a couple of months but I was regular as clockwork 28 days before mc and seem to have settled at 30 days now. My 'fertile signs' were much less noticable post mc too (which was really unhelpful!) I get a spotty chin and am very tetchy along with the EWCM. We went for the EOD approach for a couple of months but my BFP came after a very lazy 2 well timed shag approach. Hurrah for EWCM and OPKs!

Your holiday shagging sounds lovely wilde - it feels like years since we have had that kind of sex (with DD and then ttc).

I have just finished marking the last of my exam papers so I am off to make myself a celebratory red bush tea (with choccie biccie) Brew Cheers!!

Haylebop12 · 30/08/2012 15:39

So guys... If u have ewcm say Wednesday morning when would be best to dtd? Sane day, day after? I'm such a novice.
Plus if I was going to get some sticks how do I use them?

ChuckleMonster · 30/08/2012 15:46

As soon as you get EWCM get shagging! I get about 4 days of it so know I will OV 2-3 days after I first see it.

I found the OPKs tricky to use, I bought internet cheapies and used them 3 times a day during mid cycle. When the test line is darker than the control line its postive and means you will OV in the next 12-36 hours (I think!). I dont think I ever got an actual positive but got quite good at working out when the line was darkest and took that to be positive.

resipsa · 30/08/2012 15:49

Is it OK that it was the mention of wine that attracted me here today (and it's only 3.50pm)? Why not join another thread, I ask myself? Plenty of familiar faces!
Had MMC earlier in the year. Body was fooled by sac but no embryo so kept on going until 10 weeks when had ERPC. Should've been due mid-Oct. Always assumed I'd be preg again WAY before then but getting a bit close for comfort now...

wilderumpus · 30/08/2012 19:11

welcomed resipsa! I have the same story as you, sac, no baby, but had medical management instead at 10 weeks. Knew from 4/5 weeks something was up so was a long slog. Would have been due Nov. and it IS getting close for comfort!

I really really want Wine. Finished a chapter today, hurray! But luckily DH went out so we shall wine tomorrow night instead. ooooohhhhhh wine.

hayle yes, get shagging when you have ewcm. It is a sign of imminent ov. when it has gone, you have ov'ed. you would normally get it for a few days.

eek, Better pay attention to the toddler!

Lolcbcblemonlime · 30/08/2012 19:39

I also had no baby on scan. I found that even more painful as it made me feel as if I had made the whole thing up Angry
I would have been due in march and i panic already so I feel your pain re due date looming. Still a couple of months! F x

wilderumpus · 30/08/2012 19:58

aw lol. I remember feeling like i had 'lost' my baby, like they had gone wandering or just couldn't grow cause it was all too bloody crap in my womb :( Utter failure.

Am resigned to the fact am unlikely to get pg before my edd. I don't know if I will be that bad on the due date though. I just don't know. On the one hand I am completely fine about the mc now, I really am. But on the other there is one friend I have who is due around when I would have been and I have avoided her the whole pg! I can't face her or her healthy bump. Or, actually my hairdresser for the same reason! so there are issues, obviously.

Personally, because I am going through PhD-finishing hell, I do think every month i don't get pg while I am completing is another month I will have on the other side... when I am a Kept Woman... AND my son starts nursery in Jan... all those hours to rub my bump and secretly eat all the cake. No begger would employ me in that state so I intend to do feck all.

One can but dream anyway!

am off to watch tele! first time I have watched evening tv for a while :)

OP posts:
Haylebop12 · 30/08/2012 20:15

Ladies, your scans must have been a rough time. My scan too was awful. Seeing this baby shape thing not moving at the bottom of the screen! Awful!
wilde I too feel im pretty much "over" my mc but my friend due 3 days after (I was 27/12) is getting her bump and living her pg which she should. But that should be me too! She also stole my name since she found out the sex!! Grrr!!
Will be informing dh of the "sex plan" when he gets in from work!!
After AF arriving today I've convinced myself that June is a better month to have a baby anyway! And it also means I will have been at my new job a bit longer before I tell them I'm up the duff! Hurrah

wilderumpus · 30/08/2012 20:47

aw hayle. i can't imagine :( your friend stole your name?! noooo Shock

and yes, i think june would be a smashing month to have a baby :) glad your chin is up chuck x

wilderumpus · 30/08/2012 20:47

wilderumpus · 30/08/2012 21:09

yeah hayle! weekday vino!

oh what a superb and frivolous evening I am having. I have read a bunfight on MN where everyone was drinking wine, so I had to have some of course. and now DH has arrived home with chocolate to celebrate my chapter and we will watch accused on the tele. lovely :)

OP posts:
Lolcbcblemonlime · 30/08/2012 21:40

I resisted wine today but will defo have some tomorrow and sat at friends wedding.
Watched accused yesterday. It's good!

onemoreforgoodmeasure · 31/08/2012 08:47

(Puts steam mop to one side to check in... sorry Hayle. Returns to stem mop - I swear, it's brilliant)

LittleMissSnowShine · 31/08/2012 08:57

Morning all!

Urgh so sorry one and hayle stupid af :(

It was ds's 2nd bday so we were at the farm, in the park ans making birthday tea foe 11 assorted family.members...no other toddlers tho thank goodness lol

Wiped today! Usually off work on fridays but have to.nip in for a couple of hours this afternoon. Which i actually dont mind, cos im on cd31 / 32, no signs of af arriving and another bfn this morning. :(

I always knew getting pg again first wweks after erpc was unlikely and probably not even.ideal given how sick i had been but damn it i still feel disappointed and im scared that my.hormones will be completely out of whack so between that and pcos maybe ttc will take ages. Sorry, just came on for a quick mope, hopefully will have better luck next month...

LittleMissSnowShine · 31/08/2012 09:03

Ps - whats Accused? A crime drama? Love them! vows to put down.game of thrones books and watch.some tv at weekend

And hayle - did your pg friend know that was your name or is it just an unfortunate coincidence??
