So here is another thread. Good luck everyone! baby dust everywhere!

MumOfTwoCats · 08/07/2012 23:21

I guess we'll discuss it properly when the info comes through. He'll come around i'm sure. I just hope something happens either way by next weekend and so I know for the
hen.

Bought a mooncup as I was unsure on holiday and stopped going in the pool two days before it mattered.

Some have a42 day cycle, I was able to predict within half an hour when i was on the pill! A bit unnerving now!

MumOfTwoCats · 08/07/2012 23:24

Boo i am the longest trying! My sisters got pregnant just looking at their partners! :-(

MumOfTwoCats · 08/07/2012 23:32

I meant to say can't complain as some have more unpredictable / longer cycles!

Maclairey · 09/07/2012 08:15

Hi all thanks very much for your good wishes. I still don't think it has sunk in. We are still in Cyprus but back tomorrow. I told my friend in the end (well she guessed actually) and she was made up for us. I know you are not supposed to tell people before 12 weeks but I didn't want to lie to her when she asked me outright as she is one of my best friends.

Pop, just to answer a few of my questions, I was 13dpo when I first tested (done 3 more since) and I am going to buy a digi when I get home. I don't know what my edd will be as I was on day 76 of my cycle. I know I ovulated on 23 June so maybe someone can work it out for me.

I have been getting some really weird and sometimes quite painful cramping over the last few days. Does anyone know if this is normal?

Good luck to all of you testing soon. I will be hanging around here cheering you all on! I am not sure where else to go.

I keep panicking that something will go wrong and I think that's why I won't let myself really believe yet. But I suppose that's normal too.

NicolaHazel · 09/07/2012 08:56

I hadn't realised you were at day 76 when you tested...so kind of cycle 3 (with short cycles), even though no AF to break them up!

Quite a few of the newly-pregnant people have mentioned cramps, pulling sensations and the like, so I think it's normal. :-)

I've got cramping today...only 4 DPO. That can bugger off as I've two court hearings today!

Newbie2 · 09/07/2012 09:33

Morning all! 15DPO for me and managed to run out of house before POAS! Considering I got a BFN at 12DPO it is highly unlikely that results have changed but one can always dream! Talking of dreams I swear I had really bad cramps in my sleep last night...I thought it was AF when I woke up but I must have dreamt it all!

Welcome Mumoftwocats :)

Nicola must be your egg travelling down the tube :) something to be happy about!

Mclairey lots of people say cramping early on is normal so don't worry about that too much at this stage :) I hear it's bleeding signs that are a problem.

Newbie2 · 09/07/2012 09:40

Just worked out that cos AF hasn't actually arrived for me yet post pill I'm actually on CD55. Good to hear Mclairey got pregnant without the appearance of AF for 2 cycles. Have a feeling AF is not going to arrive for me too. I'm going to really have to watch OV time! I may even start using the CBFM tomorrow even If AF doesn't arrive. Do not want to miss OV!

DulcetMoans · 09/07/2012 09:57

Morning all, welcome mumof!

Glad to see you are still around maclairey! I think it's good to have someone to tell, just to talk to someone in RL about what is going on. I have heard cramping mentioned I am sure but can't speak from experience of course.

So my tracker app says I am on a regular day now. Obviously we've discussed how the phone doesn't actually know what is going on but it still made me sad as it doesn't say fertile day any more. Anyway, looking at it we have DTD cd 7,9,10,11,13,16. Today is cd 17 so I am probably getting towards the end of ov (althought haven't really known it has happened this month which is odd) and into the dreaded 2ww! Stomach aches the last two days though, like i've been doing sit ups. Feels more muscular than internal though.

Newbie2 · 09/07/2012 10:10

Dulcet probably all that DTD :)

NicolaHazel · 09/07/2012 10:30

You and me both, Dulcet...actually feeling a bit ill with the cramping etc today!

I was also disappointed when the tracker essentially told me it was too late to bother!

Newbie2 · 09/07/2012 10:50

I did not DTD as much as that (hangs head in shame) as got a surprise OV time. Probably why I don't feel lucky this time!

DulcetMoans · 09/07/2012 11:03

I think it could be that newbie. Surprising how much energy it takes actually! So long as you do it at the right time though, that's more important. I was just being safe and he didn't exactly complain. Well, not at the beginning anyway, maybe a bit of complainging now! haha.

So are you in the 2ww now then nicola? I will probably keep up the EOD DTD until Friday, just to be sure. Then I know we must have done it during ov. Surely!?

DulcetMoans · 09/07/2012 12:06

Just thinking, does anyone know if you have to get ewcm in order to ov? I know I have had this plenty of times before but not noticed it this month so could that mean I didn't ov?

NicolaHazel · 09/07/2012 12:07

Yeah, I'm in the 2WW...bored already!

We DTD CDs 5, 7, 9, 11, 14 and 18. Really not sure it was enough though :-/

Have felt crappy all through ovulation, and now still feel AFy, which I could do without. Far too early for all that!

Bloody hormones...keep swinging from 'not a chance, so stop hoping', to 'I feel so crappy it must be a good omen'!

Really need to calm down as still got 10 days of the 2WW left!

NicolaHazel · 09/07/2012 12:24

No, you don't have to have it, Dulcet, it is just useful. :-)

Newbie2 · 09/07/2012 12:54

Now that I can speak from experience the 2ww is deffinately not fun! best advice I can give is wait for AF to test :) because if you don't it's a slippery slope!

DulcetMoans · 09/07/2012 15:34

Statistics work is not a good way to keep your mind on something else but I keep refreshing this page and no one is around!

I think I might be ov'ing today... I just don't know anymore! I have the benefit of knowing my bodies normal routine but I am examining it all too much! I think DP is knackered out though so not sure I can push it for another go. Ov on cd16? Is that a bit late? There is too much science involved in this TTC stuff!

NicolaHazel · 09/07/2012 15:46

How long is your cycle? Totally feasible in a 30 day cycle to ovulate on CD16.

DulcetMoans · 09/07/2012 15:52

Hmmm well I thought I was on about 25/26 days but the more attention I pay to it the less I seem to know!

Any seduction techniques ladies? I have already resolved to shave my legs! haha.

NicolaHazel · 09/07/2012 15:56

After my failure last Monday, I'm really not the person to ask!!

DulcetMoans · 09/07/2012 16:15

haha, you have hlped with what not to do though nicola. I won't fight with him tonight, no matter how annoying he is!

Newbie2 · 09/07/2012 16:44

Um I just ate carrot cake...completely forgot I was on a strict no sugary crap diet...oops :)

I read that if you DTD too much it weakens the speem count. Do you think that's true! Sounds like a silly myth to me.

Popinda · 09/07/2012 17:13

newbie i heard that too and now im worried that his swimmers were to weak by the time they reach my egg and the baby is not going to be ok! But then i read somewhere its just i myth and more sex you you the better chance you get pg. more is more in this case! Grin

Popinda · 09/07/2012 17:16

maclairey come and join us in the due in march 2013 thread. I was thinking, because you had such a long cycle, maybe you can do the clear blue hpt with conception indicator to give you some idea. Also, some of my pg apps on iphone can calculate due date from the time of your ov. Hope thats helped. Smile

I had heard that newbie but that Zita West book says its a myth. She likened it to people trying to get onto the underground. More people keep turning up, waiting for the train to arrive and eventually it gets crowded and there's not enough air so people start to pass out and die as the train doesn't turn up but there is no more space or stuff needed to survive.

She said there is no reason to wait for anything to 'build up' and that sperm production is constant.
