Newbie2 · 03/07/2012 19:54

Message was for Dulcet doh

NicolaHazel · 03/07/2012 22:22

Right...I've consulted with Dr Google and have decided it IS ovulation bleeding. So tonight I will be DTD, no matter what time it is or how knackered I'll be tomorrow!

Apparently some say it's a really good sign of fertility, but I'll take that with a pinch of salt!

mumbaisapphire · 03/07/2012 23:06

Here's my stats:
Cycle 1, cd18, bfp on or around 20 July, but not really sure given my uneven cycles of late.

NicolaHazel · 03/07/2012 23:25

DTD :-) No Conceive Plus usage though :-/

Ah well, if I don't use it at all and end up pg, I'll donate it onwards! Wouldn't want it wasted.

Newbie2 · 04/07/2012 06:44

10 DPO BFN :(

NicolaHazel · 04/07/2012 07:09

It is still early, Newbie. No AF means there's still a chance. :-)

I got a faint second line on the OV stick today...still a negative, but more line than ever before, ha ha. I actually think I'm too hydrated for them to work properly. Still spotting today.

letsdothisthing · 04/07/2012 07:19

Sounds promising Nicola, looks like you timed it just right! Fx for BFP for you soon :)

LisaC2611 · 04/07/2012 07:21

Newbie2 · 04/07/2012 07:21

I will deffinately wait until Monday now to test with CB again. I've only got two cheapie Internet strips left for in between use. I've used 23 sticks [hanging head in shame] Blush

LisaC2611 · 04/07/2012 07:26

Morning all

Newbie sorry for the bfn, as nicola said its not over until af arrives. How are you feeling now? Any better?

nicola I got a faint line for a couple of days before I got the positive line on my opk. I'm actually still getting a line on mine and I thought I ov'd on monday Confused

Anyone else had that? How long after a positive ov line did everyone keep testing for? Should I stop now so I don't drive myself mad?

NicolaHazel · 04/07/2012 07:27

I hope so, lets :-)

Keep thinking yesterday was Weds, but it wasn't. Wonder if H2B would suffer more performance anxiety if I jumped him on Thursday too? Can't risk waiting until Sat to do it again.

23 tests?!? Good job that's only about 3 quid's worth!!

letsdothisthing · 04/07/2012 07:48

Sorry for the BFN Newbie, I can imagine myself wanting to POAS too, it's like you just want to know now! God help me when I get to my first 2ww - we'll be keeping the likes of Amazon in business lol

Yeah I'd go for it on Thurs Nicola just to make sure :)

Morning Lisa, with the OPK, still haven't used mine yet so can't help with your question sorry but not sure how I'll get on with them, like Nicola has said, I tend to drink throughout the day in the office so not sure I'd get a proper result! Only on CD5 (dragging or what!) at the moment and think I ov around day 20ish so may be able to compare after that - but of course fx you'll have all had your BFP's by then!!

Also with the stats, when I started it off I included the CD forgetting that changes every day (novice that I am Blush)... Should we remove it, what do you think?

NicolaHazel · 04/07/2012 08:03

We could remove that bit if you like...may make more sense :-)

Damn drinking too much water!!

letsdothisthing · 04/07/2012 08:12

Glad you got to DTD yesterday nicola! Hopefully you timed it to perfection as lets said. I am so tired from it now, it's been every day and its making my bedtime later and later. Nearly late for work this morning!

You're not out yet newbie, no AF = still hope!

I don't know enough about the sticks really lisa, I've not got into them like I thought I would. I thought you should only get a positive for 2-3 days though, before and for up to 12 hrs after as ov takes up to 12hrs. But there's different figures wherever you look so I get confused!

Maclairey · 04/07/2012 09:42

Good morning!!

Ok so 11dpo today and I am positively ITCHING to test. I know its going to be a BFN though, I am just not feeling confident. I keep getting twinges but I am not sure if I am imagining them or not. The question is, can I hang on until Friday?

Newbie sorry for your BFN. I do think that (in the nicest possible way) to some extent by starting testing early you are setting yourself up for a fall. From what I have read most people wont get a positive result until after AF is due. I do hope you get there though!!

Dulcet I definitely agree that we need to get this TTC done with so we can meet in a mum and bump group!

Nicola I remember when you were debating whether or not to come off the pill only a few weeks ago, and now look, you are as obsessed as the rest of us. Fingers crossed you will catch this month. Would you announce it at your wedding if you had you 12 week scan by then?

Lisa with regard to the ic opks, my understanding is this. You should always have a faint line on them throughout your cycle because you will always have a small amount of Luteinizing Hormone (LH) in your wee. Its in the run up to getting your LH surge (in the hours pre-ovulation) that the line gets darker and for it to be positive it needs to be as dark or darker than the control line. This means you should ovulate imminently. That?s my understanding of it anyway. I buy the Clearblue smiley face ones which I know are expensive but I just cannot be bothered with comparing lines.

So its still raining here, it hasn?t stopped for 3 days. Off to a wedding in Cyprus on Friday for 4 days. Its 32 degrees and sunny there. Excited muchly :)

Newbie2 · 04/07/2012 09:43

Thanks ladies Thanks I know the waiting game is not over yet but because I've been so ill I kind of feel like I'm out already. Managed to sleep through the night which has helped pain and also managed to provide doc with stool sample this morning (totally worth being late for work). FX I'll get results back next week. Worst case scenario I'll be give antibiotics which I should hopefully be coming off around OV time! I'm already thinking of a battle plan for the next cycle...will be doing a lot of things differently!

Lisa Regards to the OV sticks you have to have two strong lines to show that you're OV. One faint line or one strong and one faint are both negative results. This is why I switched to clear blue OV sticks with smiley faces...could not handle the 'what if' game.

Newbie2 · 04/07/2012 09:49

Mclairey I totally agree with you. I've started testing way too early. I think I needed one crazy 2ww to teach me a few lessons! I will not be testing with expensive tests until Monday morning when AF is due to arrive. That's if she doesn't beat me to it :) I guess it's called 2ww for a reason...not 1.5 weeks :)
