Welcome to the 2.30 from Mumsnet Towers. The fillies have been groomed to within an inch of their lives and are raring to go.

Late entries for the race are required to locate and fill in the BESHtionnaire so that their form can be assessed.

Bring on the stallions!

In light if the discussions on my "TTC Myths" thread, I suspect rubber chickens will be involved somewhere in the new thread [cant believe how fast we're filling this one up!]

Well hellllllerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr BESH

Detect my slight slurring? That will be because I have been in from work for precisely 46 minutes and am already on my third glass of wine. Yes it was THAT sort of day......

Now now now

Hello Kickassguru or KAG as you will now be known. How lovely to have to you. Always nice to meet a fellow barren who likes a good sneer and spits on babydust.

I'm camel knees. Answer to any variation thereof. Married to HY (hairy yorkshireman). Keeper of a small person aged 2 but currently trying to win a second baybee without luck. No fannycams yet so still very much an amateur by BESH standards. Can mostly be found swearing, watching trashy tv and eating my body weight in salty carbs.

All this talk of fitness has made me resolve to go to the gym tomorrow morning. I am currently fatty fattison from fatsville.

faithy you now officially win the prize for the most orifices medically investigated. Pipes up your wee-wee hole!? Sheesh!!! Hope it sorts the problem kiddo.

HaveALittleFaith · 18/07/2012 19:50

I'm hoping not to complete the final hole option Wink

Nice to see you bugs

HWHNN has a lamp fetish. He does not believe it is possible to have too many lamps in one room Hmm

You could always get another lamp and have low watt bulbs in them so that they are not overpowering.

Personally I'm a less is more girl when it comes to lighting...if you are sitting near there, you need light and it's too dark baybe get another. But you may not need it.

I have just done another walk of nearly 5k so treated myself to a mini milk :)

ShredniVashtar · 18/07/2012 21:36

Evening all.

Hello kaginabag, I'm Shred. Aged 31. TTC number 1 since Dec 2010, 1 mmc and 1 ectopic but no actual baybee yet. All tests normal, and GP won't refer for another 6 months. Grrrr. Sounds like you will fit right in with us bunch of sour old hags.

Now. Lamps. I too am of the opinion that you can't have too many lamps, especially if the bulbs are soft. So I say go for it! Am sure GP will see sense.

Had a good first needles appt last night. Cried quite a bit, which I wasn't expecting, but I think I trust her, which is important. So far she thinks I have unbalanced spleen energy, and generally "damp" and need to eat more hot food! And no whale music, thank fuck Grin

InTheSunshine · 18/07/2012 21:41

I'm Sunny. 35. TTC 2.5 years. SSG (spreadsheetgeek) has wierd genetic thing going on with sperm & I have ovaries of an 80 year old. Waiting for a man in a white coat to give us the big yes or no as to whether it's worth us having IVF.

Like Rie I used to hang around these parts all the time but then thought what's the point as nothing was happening. I lurk from time to time and have been known to add my unwanted opinion!

I'm a big fan of the needles Shredni. They sorted my short cyles out, stopped my IBS and hayfever and generally made me feel better.

LauraPalmer · 18/07/2012 21:42

Hello, laydees.

And aloha to you, GuruKicker - welcome to the fold.

I'm LauraPalmer/LP, my partner is TOM (The Old Man), and my DSS is TinyTOM. I'm currently in early-updiffedness-nervous-mode, so please excuse me for skipping the TTC bio bit as it might freak me out further to see it all in black and white.

LauraPalmer · 18/07/2012 21:44

Lamps are good - Go with the low-wattage bulbs, Bugsy

CamelKnees · 18/07/2012 21:50

Grin at kaginabag

I'm more of a 'more is more' kind of girl in everyway re lamps

We've currently got 3 in our living room and I'd like 1 more... I HATE the Big Light

KickTheGuru · 18/07/2012 22:02

Thanks for the welcomes, laydees.

Lamps: go for it. I love lamps. But we don't have enough tables in the house to house the lamps. Soon though. I think we are going to look for a new place in November / December under some random fucking positive hope that I may potentially be pregnant. Hey look - bless it, it's a complete moron...

Anyway, I plugged my glucose monitor in and it pulled all my stats from a couple days after I was diagnosed and it spat back an average sugar level of 7.3. Which equates to a level of 6 odd %. Which means that I am doing it correctly and should potentially be able to start TTC again at the end of August. I am certainly aiming for end of August anyway.

KickTheGuru · 18/07/2012 22:03

That's of course if I ever get visited by AF. NO idea where it's gone. Even in the depth of all the crap, I still had AF a latest of 3 days late. Am now 6 days late. Crap.

KickTheGuru · 18/07/2012 22:07

And just in case we were wondering - I started my AF when I was like...9 years old and I am now 30 and I've NEVER missed a cycle.

And the only time I was late, I had a chemical pregnancy.

So my body is well and truly cocked. Which is weird considering it was fine when I was dying?!!! WTF?!

ArielThePiraticalMermaid · 18/07/2012 22:09

Buggeroff, I didn't know about your 2nd mc. I'm really very sorry :(

HaveALittleFaith · 18/07/2012 22:21

sunny it's always nice to see you :) and hear your opinion Wink

shreddie I'm glad overall the needles was good even if you cried! I'm sure you're not the first person!

kickers those blood glucose readings sound good. Let's hope your back on the TTC roller coaster once again!

I've been for a trot round the village again tonight. Yay me and project BMI baybee!

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 19/07/2012 07:19

Morning beshies, WOW business on the fred, while I was out. I took project BMI very serious too, faif and went for a couplde of miles walk round town in the rain with my logely supportive SB, who then took me to the pub and treated me to vino, which I suppose undid all the walking. But I have a plan. There is a (relatively) cheap gym on the commuting route to new job (starting in August!!) so I'll join that and try to go on my way home whilst SB cooks me dinner. I reckon 3x gymming and my usual weekend cycling and yoga should make the difference...

As for lights, I am like knees more is more. Having said that it does not apply to side tables, of which we have precisely none. So my lamps are hiding on book shelves and on the floor. But I'd say two with decent wattage (I read and crochet a lot, I need the light).

I'd be very curious to hear whether the needles are doing more than just making you cry. I really don't need woo to achieve that and I am reading an interesting book on the placebo effect on my commute at the mo, which kind has scuppered any placebo effect relief which I might get from woo

Sorry to hear your trajectories, oldies ariel and sunny. I can so imagine stepping away when you're on hold, as it were...

Hope AF droid turns up soon Kaginakag. It is weird that it has gone in hiding now, when you are actually getting better!

Northey · 19/07/2012 07:27

Good God, I take a day away for sechsing and the world and his wittily initialled wife turns up.

I'm northey, 34, ttc #1 forever... No contraception since 2005ish, but no periods either, which in retrospect might have been a bit of a clue I should get things moving on the medical front. Trying properly (by which I mean regimented shagging and medical help re periods) since Dec 2009. On Metformin and Clomid, currently, and I had my ovaries drilled last year. 1 ectopic pregnancy to show for it all. Boyfriend is AMNH (A Man Named Horse, after our wild west fred).

HaveALittleFaith · 19/07/2012 08:14

norf don't you mean fiancé?!

lems I know what you mean about placebo effect - Kalms used to work brilliantly for me! Confused I do think reflexology had some validity though because my first session report back she could tell me all sorts from my feet - she knew I was recovering from a cold and that I'd been coughing a lot (my diaphragm was 'tired'), she recognised I had digestive problems....it was uncanny! :)

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 19/07/2012 08:19

The main issue with reflexoflogy of course is that I would need to show them (my poor and battered) feet Wink. Even if it is their job, I don't know whether I can do that to anyone...

Btw I want it to be SUMMER, you hear me, no more rain, no more thunder and lightning. Walking barefoot on the beach (noone looks down), swimming, cycling, generally being happily on hols. None of this will happen soon, but hey.

Northey · 19/07/2012 08:28

Oh well yes, I suppose I do, faith [maidenly blush]

How did you foot woo fans find your foot wooers??

HaveALittleFaith · 19/07/2012 08:37

I will be camping from a week on Saturday Confused and we'll have the camper but MSB and I will be sleeping under canvas.

I have feet ishoos too but since I've been nursing I've realised how much worse some people's are and allowed people to touch mine :)

HaveALittleFaith · 19/07/2012 08:39

I had my first one at a spa and another in a beauty place that's since closed down. I keep looking at one I found online...
