Welcome to the 2.30 from Mumsnet Towers. The fillies have been groomed to within an inch of their lives and are raring to go.

Late entries for the race are required to locate and fill in the BESHtionnaire so that their form can be assessed.

Bring on the stallions!

Ooo, faith that's very deep. Probably true as well.

Ah Phew, I thought I was rambling. I feel quite odd. Drunk almost 5 weeks since I had a drink! time to...zzzzzz

Northey · 11/07/2012 06:51

Morning fillies. I'm still feeling odd and unhappy today, but considerably better for a long and deep sleep.

Who's got anything happening today?

HaveALittleFaith · 11/07/2012 06:54

Well it's taken two weeks of resistance but MSB has finally run out of pants! He said and I quote They can't all be in the washing basket No dear, they're in the big pile of washing on the floor I refuse to pick up.....I hope my point will be made tonight when I pile them up?!

How are people feeling? euro, cavey?

HaveALittleFaith · 11/07/2012 06:55

X posts. Work norf, just work, if I can keep my head together!

Northey · 11/07/2012 07:14

Hurrah for victory on the pant front! Well done. I know how hard it is not to crack when the horrid skanky things are piling up in the doorway (what on earth makes men drop them where they stand?).

HaveALittleFaith · 11/07/2012 07:19

And that's exactly what he does! I have made a stand to only do what is in the washing basket so maybe he'll stop leaving then there....I hope Hmm I will confess tonight that is what I've done so he doesn't just wash what's in the basket. There must be about 10 pairs in that pile (ew).

CaveMum · 11/07/2012 07:24

Morning all, Norf glad you got some decent rest but sorry you're still a bit down.

I've woken up feeling more tired than when I went to bed Hmm Great! Just work for me today too, I've got a meeting tomorrow evening so need to prepare for that.

Well done on staying strong Faith, hopefully the penny might have dropped with MSB now Grin

Northey · 11/07/2012 07:28

AMNH sits on the edge of the bed each night, pushes of pants and socks and leaves then by the side of the bed. Next morning he steps over them. Next night, he leaves that day's set on top of them. And so on until we've been through a week. It's just so minging. I wish I could think of something to do that would disgust him to a similar level. Sadly it would probably have to be something like poo in a corner of the bedroom and wipe my bottom on the duvet every night for a week.

HaveALittleFaith · 11/07/2012 08:17

The worst thing with MSB is we've talked about this multiple times and he simply doesn't get why I think it's disgusting to leave his stinky pants and socks all over the brand new carpets He gets all arsey and suggests he does his own washing! I keep explaining its not about doing the washing but about cleanliness, appearance of the room and currently, the practicalities of me having chronic abdo pain leaning down to pick up the clothes he's too lazy to pick up himself! So I have taken from the washing basket what made it in there. The reality of the disgusting-ness of the habit will never penetrate. The reality of running out of pants just might.

FriendofDorothy · 11/07/2012 08:23

I would start throwing them in the bin until he gets the message.

HaveALittleFaith · 11/07/2012 08:36

He thinks iambu simply for complaining! He is a bit previous about his pants. I will see if explaining that I'm only washing from the basket is enough to penetrate. The confusion on his face was amusing - they can't all be in the basket? No they're where you dropped them!
If not, binning them will be phase 2 :) usually I cave before now. How are you dor?

FriendofDorothy · 11/07/2012 08:46

I am fine at the moment although struggling with looking fat rather than pregnant. I don't mean to sound all ungrateful and whingey but having struggled with my weight for many years and it now slightly odd to have all my fat pushed upwards under my boobs to make room for baby, but instead of looking pregnant I just look like a barrel. Does that just sound a bit weird?

We are also in the process of trying to buy a ludicrously expensive house that needs loads of work doing but the vendor (who happens to be the States of Guernsey) are being arseholes and now we have got boundary issues which need ersolving before we buy it. Obviously I am now getting worried that we aren't even going to have moved in by the time the baby comes!

FriendofDorothy · 11/07/2012 08:49

Oh, and when I am dealing with The Mister over things that have upset or do upset me I use one or two counselling techniques. My favourite being "When you do it makes me feel like ".... so for example

"When you leave all your skanky pants on the floor and don't take the effort to put them in the washing basket it makes me feel like you do not appreciate either our home or the time and effort I put into doing the laundry".

I have to admit that it has workd quite well for me over the years ;)

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 11/07/2012 09:12

First: euro I am so sorry, it is unbelievably shitty news. And I feel for you so much. Frankly you've been going through enough recently. It is time fate/luck/whatever is cutting you some slack. Have a breakfast bowl of pimms (I find gin on the empty stomach a bit much). So sorry!

Also sorry about the mehness cave and norf. I hope having a good cry will set you up better, I do believe in sometimes getting it out in one go.

Oh faif you sound like me, but I have the GA-brain mush which I am hopeful will bugger off.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 11/07/2012 09:19

I missed a whole page of pants all over faif's floor. Well done for keeping strong. My otherwise lovely SB is a bad offender too. In fact when we used to use Those Things as contraception, he used to leave the soiled ones by the side of the bed. Until one day my mum came round and saw them. He did understand that was minging and got better. Now obviously it is just pants by the bedside, socks on the dining room table and clothes absolutely everywhere. Sadly he's okay with me not washing stuff that is not in the basket, and he has too many clothes... Oh well.

Very impressed with the way you're talking to the Mister about these things, dor. I know that works, but when something annoys me I tend not to be so patient!

On other news I slept well, but now feel completely wiped out from showering and writing a post-card... I'll pop that in the post and have a snooze, I think for my morning activities.

HaveALittleFaith · 11/07/2012 12:02

Sadly MSB does not do well with 'I feel' statements....given up trying!

lems I hope you feel brighter soon! Yes I do sound post-op don't I?! Remembered my socks today sp it's progress. Felt better for an earlier night so will aim for another one tonight.

Good news, gynae have found us a cancellation for...tomorrow! So we'll get the test results and know if the treatment had worked. Put MSB out if his misery wondering..,

eurochick · 11/07/2012 12:07

Thanks for your comments ladies. I've bought a lottery ticket (my first in about 15 years). I figure our luck has to change soon. Even KFZK had a little cry last night (not normal for a buttoned up Irishman). It's just too much for both of us.

faif stay strong on pant-gate. You can see this through to the end. Wink.

Dor I think every pregnant woman I know has complained about the looking-fat-not-pregnant stage. Your bump will pop soon and it will all be fine.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 11/07/2012 14:37

Exciting and scary to have the appointment tomorrow, at least not too much time to get worked up about it faif. Keeping things crossed for some good news on that score - luck ought to turn. And well done on both pants and sock-fronts! Maybe a bit more sleep is not a luxury!!

And euro I do hope your luck is turning, but it is a spontaneous BFP turning up soon after the procedure to remove the strange cells, resulting in a happy healthy baby for you next spring/summer, that I have put my money in for now...

I feel okay and am doing fine. It's just that normally my short term memory is really good and freaks me out when I forget simple things (like leaving strawberries out overnight on the work surface, not happy about that this morning). Brain mush is less then it was already, SB seems to think I function at levels close to his normal achievements... (I think that says more about him than me!)

Oh bollocks I just put a large scratch in the bumper of the car. Just bloody annoying more than anything.

Oh, and bugs - you are not skiving you need to be off work. Enough!

eurochick · 11/07/2012 17:07

Bugs, you can self-refer to many private clinics. Just pick up the phone and make an appointment (and make enquiries about prices so you know what to expect).

A lot of the recurrent miscarriage ladies on the Pred thread had had success with Mr Shehata. I have tried him and am going to have more extensive tests with Dr Gorgy soon.

You will burn through £1000 quite quickly though, be warned. I think my initial consultation with shehata followed by blood clotting and nk cell tests and a follow up consultation and prescription was about £1200 from memory. Someone else on the Pred thread is in a similar situation to me and has just been to Gorgy. She spent an additional £2500 or so.

I don't know about consultants outside London. Shehata and Gorgy seem to be the leading two in London. If you look on fertility friends for the immunology board, there is info about other specialists on there.

PS.

Dor how annoying.

HaveALittleFaith · 11/07/2012 17:38

dor office it's any consolation I did that a few weeks ago too. Pisses me off every time I look at it!

Right bugs have a you are perfectly entitled to be off work physically and emotionally. You would not have been signed off if you weren't. I know nuzzing about private side of things but hope you get the answers you need.

Epic fail on the pant gate front. I have come home to discover he has put a load of washing on....from the washing basket and left the pile of washing on/by the chair! Shock how long til he gets the message?! I will not cave, I will not cave.....

HaveALittleFaith · 11/07/2012 17:43

if its not office! Honestly, I really must check my posts before pressing the button!

CaveMum · 11/07/2012 18:30

You will not me??? Wink

Getting wobble cramps today, so suspect droid is enroute. It's due on Monday/Tuesday so the pattern fits.

[joins in with the fish slapping] Be kind to yourself Bugs
