Welcome to the 2.30 from Mumsnet Towers. The fillies have been groomed to within an inch of their lives and are raring to go.

Late entries for the race are required to locate and fill in the BESHtionnaire so that their form can be assessed.

Bring on the stallions!

is there anybody alive out there?
Mmm Ioan Gruffudd....

Northey · 08/07/2012 09:37

Hello! I am booking my sechsgymkhana holiday and also feeling resentful and not at all in the mood for it, because once again it's me that is doing all the planning and booking. What are you up to?

CaveMum · 08/07/2012 09:58

I'm here. Sat on the sofa watching the Irish "Don't tell the bride" with the car snoring on my lap Grin

Trying and failing to rally myself to go to church.

HaveALittleFaith · 08/07/2012 12:38

Oh God I've just come back from church - which really helped - to hear that my friend's baby (the one who was so lovely and considerate when she came round a few weeks ago) was still born :( the world makes no sense to me right now.

CaveMum · 08/07/2012 12:44

Oh Faith I am so so sorry Sad

CamelKnees · 08/07/2012 12:51

Oh Faif that's just awful. Really really sorry to hear that.

eurochick · 08/07/2012 13:00

Oh gosh, faith how absolutely awful.

Dizzy laid Norf? Now there is some good gossip Wink. More seriously, woo hoo for Dizzy.

I am a bit meh, having ended up back in the office today. This weekend was supposed to be about recovering from the emotional and physical turmoil of recent weeks and a sechsgymkhana , and instead I have ended up spending it at my desk. I had a bstd of a drive in too, due to road closure for some run and other people having the audacity to park in my favourite weekend spaces. We did get to see The Woman in Black last night though. It was very good, although not as creepy as I had imagined it. It was good to have a night out though, and do something that would take far more planning with sprogs (I booked the tix on a whim on Friday). The suchsgymkhana has yet to start though as I had an upset stomach after the play. Dammit. I have neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeds, you know!

HaveALittleFaith · 08/07/2012 13:07

I have text her in a 'don't expect a reply but please let me know if there's anything I can do'. Totally unexpected as far as I know. My heart breaks for her.

I guess it should have been dizzy laid, norf! Oops.

Sorry to hear its been a meh weekend euro but glad you enjoyed the theatre. I hope you can escape soon.

alwyn · 08/07/2012 13:23

faif that is absolutely awful for your friend.

Northey · 08/07/2012 16:04

Oh God, faith, how absolutely dreadful. Was she the one who had conceived through ivf?

HaveALittleFaith · 08/07/2012 16:06

No I think natural conception. She was the one who I avoided seeing but was luffly when I did - she was excited but not all about her and baybee. She was due this weekend :(

CamelKnees · 08/07/2012 17:36

Oh faif that's just heartbreaking. A good friend of mine in RL had a similar experience and it still haunts us all now. Really remind you how fragile all of this is and the world is a truly sucky place sometimes.

CamelKnees · 08/07/2012 17:38

Sorry for crap typing/missing words on that last post but you get my drift!

HaveALittleFaith · 08/07/2012 17:45

I plan to drop a card round after work tomorrow. Universe doesn't work like you'd expect does it? She's one of the sweetest, loveliest people you could hope to meet. No-one deserves it but she definitely doesn't.

On other topics I am watching the tennis. We were at DSis's and being v affectionate with the munchkin - you realise how blessed you are - but I'm exhausted so we've come home and I've crawled into bed for a rest!

Northey · 08/07/2012 18:23

Watching here too. Oh God I hate it when they insist on making the loser speak through his tears. Waaaah!

HaveALittleFaith · 08/07/2012 18:32

Oh poor Andy :( it means so much to him! But he did so well. I think he will be champion one day. Getting past the semi-final was such a big hurdle. He'll do it in the next couple of years. He had those potential 'choke' moments like he had against Nadal this year bit he never let it get to him. He totally outclassed Federer in the first set! And one day he'll be able to maintain that level to get the win :)

CaveMum · 09/07/2012 08:19

Morning BESH, how are we all this Monday morning?

I have some Menkul to report: yesterday I had pains low down in my abdomen, on my left side, near where my laparoscopy scar is. It was sort of what I'd imagine ov pain to be like, but I've never had that! Also, overnight, I appear to have developed a sort of eczema on one hand Hmm. Really don't know what that is about!

Anyway, 9dpo here and bricking it about tomorrow's appointment. Just hope I have a busy day at work to distract me.

[leaves sack of carrots by the stable door]

Ooo, some new menkul. How exciting!

I've still no idea what is going on with my body, but i am relieved the sludge has stopped.

I have my gynae appointment to discuss my smear/hpv results tomorrow and am v nervous. I have a bit of a thing about burns, so the idea of them burning bits of my cervix off fills me with horror. KFZK is supposed to be in court but he is trying to get out of it so he can come with and hold my hand.

Aw, excellent, Bugs. Is he too young and lively or will he have cuddles?

(Any chance of a cute pup photo?)

HaveALittleFaith · 09/07/2012 15:46

Aw that's luffly bugs! Don't tell MSB he's desperate for a dog but I keep saying no!

Ah but there in lies the issue, we are out the house every day from 7.30 til 5 and I worry it's not enough time. Plus our house has just been beautifully redecorated!! Hmm

blonderthanred · 09/07/2012 18:50

That's lovely news Bugs.
