Pocket1 · 26/10/2012 13:54

Well girls.... OMG BFP. I am completely and utterly stunned. GrinGrinGrin but we are totally over the moon.

Back at clinic Monday to check hcg and progesterone levels. And to book a 6 week scan.

Thank you all so much for all your kind words and support. This would be so much harder without you.

Don't stop believing

Sashabella0 · 26/10/2012 14:05

Scan went ok. Lining nice and thick. Four follicles are ready doctor would like 7 before EC. I have 12 in total and 3-4 are likely to catch up before next scan on Monday.

Any tips on how I can help the follicles grow? I don't eat meat could this be a problem?

Xx

sunnyg · 26/10/2012 14:19

pocket ohmigosh that is absolutely FANTASTIC news! Am so, so happy for you. I know what a long and difficult journey you have had. Just really does go to show, good things come to those who wait. What wonderful news.

Teds77 · 26/10/2012 14:36

Sorry to post quickly and dash but Pocket that it amazingly totally smashing and will be making me smile for the rest of the afternoon xxx.

lucylookout · 26/10/2012 14:40

Yay!!! Pocket! So, so, so, so pleased for you!

Sashabella0 · 26/10/2012 16:32

Oh and congratulations Pocket. Didn't read the news before I posted.

Xx

gingernutdreams · 26/10/2012 18:48

First of all, HUGE congrats to Pocket!! Absolutely fab news.

Sashabella, hello, and welcome. Good news that follies are coming along. I would advise eating protein (eggs would do if you don't eat meat), drinking lots of water and brazil nuts are good too. Good luck!

post to be continued.. DH has just called asking for a lift.

xx

Hoophopes · 26/10/2012 19:10

Pocket that is amazing news - huge congratulations!!

Sasha protein is recommended for improving follies - so brazil nuts are great, eggs, cheese, quorn, anything like that. Some places recommend protein shakes from health shops.

Teds77 · 26/10/2012 19:33

Right my mischievous little girl seems to be settled chez boob so am reading news. Sorry not to do loads of personals but Pocket just to say again your news is AWESOME Grin.

Beginnings so lovely to hear from you. Loving the fact you're already thinking about another go! I think we'll just have to hope for a happy accident (miracle!) here if we're ever to have more. However I know I'm totally blessed to have these two.

Scrummy enjoy the home straight and look after yourself. Your body is doing an amazing thing so rest up!

Sunny haven't totally caught up on the money stuff but is borrowing against your house if you have one an option? We'd remortgaged to renovate our wreak and stole from that to do our IVF. I'd also recommend the Lister as a possible (cheaper) alternative but equally I do appreciate the results at ARGC are amazeballs.

Finally Mo still have every crossed here for you xx.

BadgerFace · 26/10/2012 19:42

Pocket - YEEEEEEEAH!! WOOP WOOP!! So pleased for you.

Sasha I can only echo the other ladies, brazil nuts, water, protein. Good luck!

Teds77 · 26/10/2012 19:44

Sunny - sorry just read your posts properly and see remortgage already the plan. Just on the NHS my experience at Guys had negatives but lots of the care was good. I'm friends with several people who had success there and also at Kings (I chose Guys over Kings based on stats). When it came down to paying for our treatment we did choose the Lister but I'd definitely take your NHS 'go'.

gingernutdreams · 26/10/2012 20:31

Great news on the 4 embies Frostie! All the very best of luck for the ET on Sun.

The Cat keep on believing, and I hope the weeks fly by till your 6 week scan and you get to see mini cat snuggled in nicely.

Mo I am sorry to hear about the bleeding, but also glad to hear it has stopped. I echo the other ladies comments re it being common in early pregnancy. I hope you are resting up and pampering yourself.

I am glad your bloating has cleared up mini and I hope you are resting up suitably too.

[hsmile] [hbiscuit] to all you lovely ladies, and sorry not to name check you all, but am kinda losing track now, and am afraid of losing this post (again) if I scroll back too far.

Happy weekends all!
xx

MoJangled · 26/10/2012 23:59

Pocket Pocket Pocket! Fan-BLOODY-tastic! I am dancing a jig here! So thrilled for you and so deserved. Is it sinking in? Hugs and growing thoughts xxx

MiniH · 27/10/2012 09:46

pocket yay!!!!!! I AM SO COMPLETELY THRILLED FOR YOU. Yay!

Pocket1 · 27/10/2012 10:41

Morning - apologies selfish post. I had a bleed this morning - fairly heavy. And have been spotting now for a couple of hours. I am freaking out SadSadSad

sunnyg · 27/10/2012 11:02

pocket oh gosh you must be beside yourself. I know it's easier said than done but don't panic. Can you call your clinic and/or go to your local hospital? I'm not sure if this is all true, but I've heard they can check if your cervix is still closed. Or perhaps you clinic can up your meds? I know this isn't going to make you feel much better, but apparently bleeding in early pregnancy (and for some throughout) is common and all can be totally fine. And it's never a selfish post, we are all here for you 150%. Big hugs. Let us know how you get on. oxox

Pocket1 · 27/10/2012 11:34

Thanks Sunny just waiting for dr to call me back. x

Frosticle · 27/10/2012 11:36

Pocket - You poor love!! Great advice from sunny - especially the don't panic bit. Smile If you can get hold of someone at the clinic immediately do that, otherwise there's A&E or call NHS Direct for their advice.

When I had was pregnant with DD and had some bleeding, I went to A&E and they checked that the cervix was closed. I do remember reading up on it at the time and it's VERY common for pregnant women to have a bleed around the time their period would be due and this can happen month after month or just as a one off. I had a friend who bled for the first few months of her pregnancy so she didn't realise she was pregnant until 4 months, despite going to the docs with various complaints such as back-ache, constipation etc.

As sunny says, we're all here for you!

Hopefully, by now, the bleeding has stopped.

xxx

MoJangled · 27/10/2012 11:41

pocket what's the doc's advice been? Entirely pointless to say don't worry so I'll just hope that you can worry constructively. I was advised to stop aspirin immediately on bleeding but keep going with clexane (cant remember what you're on). Can they increase your steroidsupport in case this is an immune thing? And bear in mind it might not be - could be an entirely innocent bleed like normal people get! Hugs to you, rest up and think positive xxx

Pocket1 · 27/10/2012 12:06

Thanks girlies. Dr called and advised I take a progesterone jab now - which we've done. And just rest. They are hoping to check progesterone levels today from yesterday's blood test - if not I will pop in and repeat bloods today. If progesterone levels are low I may need to start cyclogest too.

Mo I'm on aspirin and clexane - as well as proganova and evorel. Plus prednisolone for immunes.

Thanks again for your support xxx
