wishful sorry you are feeling Sad MC is so tragic, I really am so sorry. But looking to the future with any luck you will be feeling perkier soon. I always get a lot more interested in sex when I get close to ov maybe the same will happen for you.

winkle rubbish timing with the visit to MIL. If my dh thinks we might be overheard he has a habit of shushing me whilst dtd. Really annoying. Maybe you could convince MIL to pop out to the shops for 10 minutes an hour.

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 13/06/2012 23:12

Christelle first no such thing as tmi in my book.

Second (but I don't have any answers) I have the weird double period thing. It was years ago, was not ttc at the time (but that particular month went a bit wrong conception wise) I was a few days late then af arrived as normal, stopped and then started again with a vengeance. I normally don't get much pain but I was aching for days.

I still to this day don't know what is was but I always wondered if it was a cp or very early mc.

For what's it's worth my cycles were completely normal again straight away. Best of luck hope that helped somehow.

Christelle2207 · 13/06/2012 23:25

Ok thanks - good to hear that others have had similar. Fx things settle down soon.

Christelle2207 · 13/06/2012 23:26

Ps guess neither for us will ever know.

winkle2 · 14/06/2012 08:11

CD6 here

Switched the monitor on this morning! It's supposed to ask me to start testing today as its CD6 but as you can set it up after day 5 I had to set it a day behind otherwise I would have had to wait until next month. Confused?! I am! Will start tomorrow and hope for the best!

Hope cycles settle down for all. Found mine changed after having DS - shorter but heavier, though not particularly painful. It's the hormones that haven't really settled - still crying when I hear v sad or v happy stories!

Whilst waiting to conceive last time it helped to think of 'preparing' my body to be the best incubator it could be - do I found cutting down booze & eating well therapeutic rather than a bore. Meant I slept better too. Ah, sleep...

Enjoy the trying!

fatasbutter · 14/06/2012 10:00

christelle I had a 3/7 period then a break and a 6 day period - not fun. Damn hormones!! It wasn't really spotting for the first few days either so I was a bit flummoxed! Hope it settles soon x

tedmundo · 14/06/2012 13:19

Whenshewas .. Hurray for the arrival of AF. What a relief.

winkle .. Good luck with the snazzy computer. It all sounds very high tech and just the kind of thing my DH would love to try out [geek]. What is it testing for? Lh or something different?

The EPO seems to be helping with CM. My DC stare with undisguised horror at the horse size pills. They are flipping huge though!!

winkle2 · 14/06/2012 14:33

I'm finding the EPO help too.

Them and Pregnacare are both huge!

The CBFM tests for estrogen hormone and the LH surge - I think the rise in estrogen triggers the LH surge? That's why it gives you highs before your peaks. The peaks being the LH surge.

I am taking 2 of the 1000mg ones. there truly does seem to be a difference! I am usually a bit Hmm about natural remedies but stand happily corrected on this one.

DH home tonight. Asked me if I need "servicing". Ah young love !!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 14/06/2012 15:07

winkle just read about the CBFM on Amazon, it got some rave reviews. Hope it works for you.

Hope it works for you.

resipsa · 14/06/2012 16:51

Hmm, just read the Amazon CBFM reviews too. I know it's not magic but as an, erm, older woman, I think I've been snared by the review from the 41 year old who now has a bouncing DC. And it's only (!) £65 now...

tiddleypompom · 14/06/2012 17:24

:o servicing.

wishfulthinking1 · 14/06/2012 17:29

Hi everyone-
Sorry for being such a misery guts last night- I'm not normally so mopey!
Feeling a bit perkier today- dtd this morning so cd8 and 12 so far.

Winkle- very exciting about the fm- I'm looking forward to updates.

Tedmundo- interesting that you think epo really works- I might give it a go if ttc starts to take a while.

Tiddlypom- that's a nice way of looking at it- preparing your body. Since my 7 week abstinence- I'm just gagging for booze!
X

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 14/06/2012 19:23

wishful that's what we are here for, just hope having an outlet when you are having a bad time helps. I have had a rough week too but like you am feeling much brighter now.

Well done on dtd on cd12 and on quitting booze for 7 weeks - very impressed.

wishfulthinking1 · 14/06/2012 19:34

whenshewasbad - well now I feel bad! I should clarify, I gave up the booze when I was pg, since the mc there has been no abstaining! Xxxx

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 14/06/2012 19:50

wishful argh now I feel bad for for making you feel bad.

I have nothing against drinking when ttc. I cut down massively for 5 months when trying to conceive dd complete waste of time. One month I just thought sod it we need a month off. We dtd once at what must have been 5 days pre ov (because we fancied it not ttc) got v v drunk on a number of occasions.
Somehow we conceived dd that month.

I think you are better off chilling out with a few drinks. And post MC you definitely needed a few drinks. Am enjoying a glass if wine as we speak Grin

FloweryBoots · 14/06/2012 20:25

Evening ladies. Sticking my head back round the corner again. I was on the june thread (few fimiliar faces, Hi'ya) and posted a range of very me me me posts then vanished when everything got a bit much - sorry! AF got me (as I very much expected) but is gone now and we're dtd again. CD 15 here, but DH went away yesterday and not back till Sunday (football!!) so thinking that this month is unlikely to yeild good results for us. There's always a chance though. Will be testing first few days of July if AF doesn't appear.

tedmundo · 14/06/2012 20:44

lisamol .. "...for nothing" oh what a charmer! I kind of agree with him though. All those nights I just wanted to curl up with the latest kindle download, but had to DTD instead. And all for a big fat Negative. GUTTED!!

I am beginning to realise that DTD when you are not in the fertile phase is when it feels a bit of a chore. During the fertile days, I def feel more up for it!

hi Floweryboots. sorry to see you here with us, but at least we can support each other while giving it another whirl.

wishful .. I would say I have more cm this month. I didn't realise EPO also good for AF so why do we need to stop taking it after OV? KICK? Where are you?? I need the resident guru!

Joking apart, actually, has anyone seen kick?

whenshewas ..glad your week is picking up. Nearly the weekend, you can see the back of AF and plough on with getting a wee baby made.

resipsa .. I am also an older lady .. 37 and will be 38 minimum for this much wanted baby. I am going to watch winkle's progress with interest. Can I buy that gadge off you winkle when you get your Bfp next month?? :)

I do try to talk with everyone, but cannot go back to other pages so apologies if I missed any questions!

HeeHeeHeeBum · 14/06/2012 20:47

Hi ladies can I join in? Currently on cycle 4 after MC in March at 12 weeks. We didn't try the first month so this is 3rd month of trying. My cycles have been so weird since - very heavy AF and weird varible and short luteal phase. I really hope this one is back to normal. AF is due around July 1st.

CD8 for me today. My doctor suggested DTD every other day starting today, so (hopefully) here goes :)

tedmundo · 14/06/2012 20:55

Hi heehee .. So sorry about the mc. I recognise you from the miscarriage threads as I also mced in March. Still no Bfp for me either :(

My last period at the beginning of this month was my first 'normal' one so I feel positive about this cycle. We can but try.

EOD is a popular technique but one I am abandoning for now. We tried that last month and found it too much stress. Back to opks and studying cm in a depraved manner to work out fertile times!

FloweryBoots · 14/06/2012 20:59

I don't know anything about EPO in terms of increasing fertility, or CM, or whatever it is you ladies take it for, but I was presrcibed it by a GP years ago when my periods were all over the place - anything from 2 weeks to 3 months between periods. It worked wonders, really made a massive difference, and I had been very sceptical. At the same time a house mate of mine was really suffering with horendous PMT, she would flit uncontrolably from mad giggling near hysteria to curling up in a ball crying and her GP also prescribed EPO which she said really helped. The difference in her behaviour was clearly noticable. So, in my opinion it can deffinately have a significant impact on female hormones!

HeeHeeHeeBum · 14/06/2012 21:07

Hi tedmundo I remember you too. Sorry you haven't had a BFP yet but good to see you have normal cycles now - can only be good.

Interesting about the EPO floweryboots. I have some that I've had ages, I might take it.

I have lots of OPKs so will be using those but I'm not temping this month as I found it prevented me sleeping properly. I would wake up several times thinking I was going to be too late and dreaming I have taken my temp and waking to find I hadn't.

I'm thinking of getting some vitamin B6 tomorrow as my last cycle seemed to have had only a 7 day luteal phase and 10 days the one before that. I hope this isn't going to become a problem :(

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 14/06/2012 21:46

Ted I completely agree with you about fertile times and dtd. I always notice I am more interested in sex when I am close to or am ovulating. Plan is do opks but only have sex when I feel like it and then once when I get a positive opk (tend to be v interested in sex at that time anyway).

floweryboots sorry you are back but good to have the company. If you dtd on cd14 then you should certainly be optimistic, do you have any clue when you ov?

heehee so sorry to heard about MC. Have you tried agnus castus? Think someone mentioned it can be useful for lengthening the luteal phase.
