WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 12/06/2012 22:22

Well I spoke too soon about af turning up. Tiny bit of spotting that I thought was the witch on her way turned into nothing. Actually want her to show up and she has gone missing [grrr].

I just want to get cracking with the new cycle. Sad

winkle2 · 12/06/2012 22:49

aw sucks whenshewasbad

CD4 here. Finally got batteries for the monitor so will be turning it on in the morning [excited]

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 12/06/2012 23:04

Thanks winkle just wish af would get here so I can stop wallowing in self pity

Am being a pain in the butt at home, I think poor dh is sick of comforting me.

Lucky for him I am feeling much more positive now. Good luck with the monitor. I love tracking my cycle, so far the ov sticks have worked for me but I could be tempted to try something more up market.

Fx it works for you.

winkle2 · 12/06/2012 23:14

Oh god I brought the wrong batteries [well nicked from work!].

Hubby now scrabbling around trying to find triple As

I'm such a doughnut!

AmayaBuzzbee · 13/06/2012 07:52

Oh no Winkle, I hope you'll find the batteries :-/

Could this be the first symptom? -babybrain way before conception! :-D

winkle2 · 13/06/2012 08:45

Lol Amaya!

That's teach me for nicking them hey?!

I'll have to buy some today and set the monitor 1 day behind!

Cd5 here...

Nice one winkle. By the way, I looked up that SMEP you mention and it is really interesting. I am going to give that a go this month, although I won't be able to DTD on cd 8 and 10 as DH is away, but can go for cd12 and then the 3 days after the Lh surge is detected. It sounds really promising.

CD10 for me and this part is the easiest. I struggle with the dpo days more. going to switch off a bit from next week and keep busy to make the time go faster.

whenshewas so sorry to hear AF is still not here. TTC is a strange beast. After the mc I was GUTTED to get a BFP as I just wanted my body to be not pregnant anymore so I could TTc again. now of course, a BFP would make me so happy.

kittykatsforever · 13/06/2012 18:42

Hi just having a nosey incase I end up a late comer when af shows ( hopefully not) at the end of June,
Lisa in regards to shifts both me and dh are the same and while there are days we do not see each other I found using the ov tests the way for us so if it was +Ive we would stay up late or get up early of basically fit it in but not have to panic the days we couldn't,
In regards to alcohol, when trying to conceive dd and it taking so long I tried the whole cutting back to giving up completely, I was not pg and f**king miserable ;) lol we conceived at Xmas when I'd decided to give up trying for a month and drink and do what I liked, just goes to show it doesn't make a difference if it's going to happen itl catch!
I'm also hoping for the super fertile after mc cycle so will see what happens later!

wunnybunny · 13/06/2012 18:45

im on cd4 ttc 10 months i will be testing 7th july which is af due date and is my 25th birthday

Hi all. Time to throw my hat into the ring and get comfy for the next 5 weeks.. CD1 today (sigh). Here's to a fertile June/July!

tiddleypompom · 13/06/2012 19:28

Wotcha all - have just found you & thought I'd pop in and say hello!

Am not actively ttc however would be delighted wouldn't be toooo gutted if I got a BFP in July following accidental shag (ha ha, DH and I have been avoiding fertile times but then didn't IYSWIM).

Have 9 month DS and currently in legals for a big house move/relocation so not ideal timing - but when is, and besides our DS is officially a toddler & I want newborn cuddles again :)

Good luck to those actively ttc and I hope this thread is a lucky one for you all (100% thread no less). I shall poas when the time comes (1st of the month) and will let you know how it goes!

It took us 8 months last time so not really expecting a + therefore drinking wine with my dinner

kittykatsforever · 13/06/2012 19:40

Hi Lisa, crap isn't it.... Don't know what we would have done without opk back in the day but fingers crossed you can manage to dtd once around it and that's all it takes ;)
Tidley my dd is 9 months too and it took 2 years to concieve her, because of that didn't take contraception after as breast feeding and we wanted another, plus it taking so long and I fell pg before first af ( we had only dtd a few times at no particular times )so don't count your chickens! Even though we mc I'm still hoping for that extra fertility everyone talks about

tiddleypompom · 13/06/2012 20:09

kitty I am so sorry you suffered a mc - hoping this month your 9monyh old gets a baby brother/sister to play with!

I am a little bit at a loss as to how to cope with two little ones, though plenty do - so I shall just look forward to it and stop wondering how the hell I'll manage when DH stays away! Well I would be lucky to have another so I can't imagine being anything other than thrilled, even if it wasn't The Plan :o

I had forgotten the madness of symptom-spotting. May be even worse second time around as I know what to spot! Maaan, why can't I just chalk it up to an unlikely event and get on without the 'what ifs'?!

Anyone off the booze?

tiddleypompom · 13/06/2012 20:14

By the way kitty when at the end of June? My cycle would take me to 29th June - weird collision of dates given your DD was conceived at Christmas 2010 like my DS!

winkle2 · 13/06/2012 20:46

Ted - the early days aren't as important, it's the ones around OV that are the most important. We get knackered in SMEP cause we start trying to early. Although in April we followed it to the letter and no BFP :(. Then I got AF 19 days after the smiley so I must have ov'd later than the sticks told me. Most frustrating.

Have an early meeting tomorrow morning so have to get up super early to turn on the CBFM and make sure it's working etc. grrrrrr

OP posts:
winkle2 · 13/06/2012 20:48

Tiddly - I've cut back on booze and getting hubby to do the same.

OP posts:
onemoreforgoodmeasure · 13/06/2012 20:54

Well, I thought I could finally get over my embarassment and come say thank you for the welcome and hello... except I managed to delete the entry! Perhaps my unconscious is trying to sabotage my attempts to be on a July BFP thread??!!!

Anyway, so many ttc after MC, and a few were first time lucky and then MC, how sad. I'm the same I was 11 weeks, it was a pg on first try, I've only just had my second proper period (I was competing for the title of longest bleeder).

Re alcohol and coffee: Last time I drank until I got two bold lines, the stopped completely and cut coffee back to about 2 cups. I've stayed on the reduced coffee and plan to come off it completely next time. I also smoke, not masses but still... and I've started having 3 days a week when I don't smoke at all and keep it to 5 or less on the other days (which is a normal amount for me). Obviously I stopped the cigarettes with the alcohol last time. I loved having a reason to be healthy.

I'm CD 5 today. I prefer this side of things, having something to prep for is much better than wating for something that might not come! Got my cheapie internet ov sticks on standby!

kittykatsforever · 13/06/2012 21:24

Hi tiddly and thanks, not sure when af due this month as not had one yet ( officially) since that dec lol ovulated Monday cd23 which was very late, usually cd17/18 so just figuring 10-12 days from now?!?
I never knew about mn first time so was totally oblivious to ss last time and didn't realise I was pg till around 8wks! ( god how I wish that could happen again) I enjoyed a blissfully Xmas and bday mid jan drunk drunk and more drunk then almost died when I found out, luckily dd is fine and I've heard alot with similar tales, this time every twinge is analysed ...... Ah man!!!
I too would have to cope with 2 alone alot with dh's shifts but hey how much carder can one more be........ ;) x

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 13/06/2012 21:47

ted af has finally arrived. Grin Grin Grin

Really glad to get that stupid chemical preg out of the way. Really sorry to hear about all the MC people have been through. It certainly puts things into perspective.

Here's to a super fertile July for all.

wishfulthinking1 · 13/06/2012 22:16

whenshewasbad- hooray for the arrival of Af!

winkle - how goes the monitor? I'm intrigued!

I'm on cd 11 and so far only Dtd on cd8- df just not up for it last night and looks the same way tonight. I'm going to hope that I won't ov early- and i'll try to be more seductive tomorrow! Its much harder to be motivated this month- still feeling so sad and self indulgently 'why me' about the mc. I should be 9 weeks pg by now :-(

Anyway- onwards and upwards hey. Hope all of you are well,
X

winkle2 · 13/06/2012 22:53

Glad AF arrived and you can crack on whenshewasbad :)

Wishful :( but :) for coming into fertile period soon. Switching the monitor on tomorrow morning so will be letting you know how it goes.

Found out today we're at my mil's the weekend I come into my fertile period eeek!

Christelle2207 · 13/06/2012 23:00

Evening

Tmi alert!
Well this is odd. CD5 here, looking forward to lots of DTD. AF left yesterday, or so I thought. I never get any cramps beyond CD3. Anyway fairly troublesome cramps tonight- enough to reach for the ibuprofen- and after no bleeding at all for 24 hours I am bleeding with really really red blood. Not the usual brown stuff I get at the end. Tampon gone swiftly back in!
Anyone had similar, some kind of double period? Crossed my mind that I could have had a CP but any bleeding from that would be either before or with AF, surely?
